The large balcony overlooks Hamilton Cove architecture and has a gorgeous vista, a perfect place for you to sit back and relax during your stay at this villa. | | | | The living area is very comfortable with its open space design and easy access to the balcony. The kitchen with plentiful counter space and breakfast bar is ideal for socializing while preparing meals. | | | The bedrooms are open and clean with functional furniture to provide comfort and relaxation. Spacious bathrooms are located in each level of the villa. | | | The villa is about 56 steps from the street and a short golf cart drive to shops, the historic Avalon movie theater, zipline tours, scuba diving, kayaking, boating, and fishing. | | | Rental of a vacation home in Hamilton Cove includes use of the community’s amenities (security gate guard, pool, spa, health club, putting course, tennis courts, croquet court, sand volleyball court and beach area). Stayed in Hamilton cove for 5 years now. Had many different villas over the years several times each summer. HOA checkin booth not helpful AT ALL( bad attitude from older lady) Checkin time was great allowed us to drop off our bags early. Kitchen chairs old and partly broken. Golf cart was falling apart and was the oldest in town lol, smelled too much of gas bad for my kids(you need a new one). Ceiling fans only had one setting too fast and noisy at night couldnt sleep well. Beds very uncomfortable and pillows very low quality. Cheap sofas and atleast should be cleaned regularly to smell fresh(steam clean needed) Refrigerator had no ice machine for a hot summer thumbs down. Very old wood table and chairs on patio with bugs on them. Had to throw some hot water to clean off bugs and sit on them to enjoy the view. I would not stay at this villa again unless they upgraded beds, furniture and had better ceiling fans and atleast a functioning ice maker(they took it out). NOT WORTH THE PRICE

The house, although beautiful, was a bit dated. One of the ceiling fans in the main room did not work and the arm rest of one of the patio chairs was broken. The beds were all uncomfortable especially the sofa bed which you could feel the metal rods digging into your back when sleeping. I think the main issue i had was the fact that we were given a 4 passenger golf cart when we had 6 people in our room. Going down to town was very uncomfortable for all of us. I expected better for the price that was paid

This was my first time visiting Catalina island, the condo was super clean as advertised and the views of the island from the balcony are second to none. Great place to stay if you are looking for secluded quiet area. Will definitely visit again in the near future!

The property was nice and has a fantastic view. There are quite a few stair steps to climb to get to the front door but having use of the golf cart is worth it. The condominium was nice; however, we discovered that there was an ant infestation, the bed downstairs is horrible, and I had to tinker with both TVs to get them to work. We stayed for two nights. The second night we discovered ants in the downstairs bed. Had we stayed longer I would have ended up sleeping on the couch because the downstairs bed needs to be replaced.

This is a 1 bedroom with a bed in the living area. The place was filthy. We messaged the property manager and sent pictures, but never received a response back. Beautiful view and would definitely stay in Avalon Cove again, but not this property.

House was beautiful. However, no attention to detail. Hardly given any toilet paper and when we called to ask for a roll, they said it was our responsibility to go to the store to get some. We were supposed to dump the garbage but no trash liners. Golf cart was really beat up - seat was duct taped together. House was having an ant problem, too.

I wish we would have times our arrival better or packed lighter. We wanted to enjoy avalon in the morning before check in but didnt want to lug our luggage around. There is an option right near the port where you can pay to have them store luggage. It runs about $10 a bag. We went to lunch and then walked back and grabbed a taxi to take about a mile up to hamilton cove. We took a van and was $19 plus $1 per person after that. We needed to take the taxi back to the same spot upon checkout as well. This condo is bigger than the pictures portray it to be. It is two stories. The master bedroom has a shower and big bathtub in it so its great for a romantic dip for two. The view is gorgeous and doesn't compare to the other buildings. I got two condos for this trip and the other just had a partial view of the water. There are beach chairs in the closet, along with some sports equipment to use at the amenities. The kitchen is equipped with almost anything you could possibly need. Washer and dryer in unit are convenient you just need your own detergent. The golf cart was really fun to use. Gas needs to be filled at other side of the island. Use regular gas not diesal. If you stay at Hamilton cove you definitely need a golf cart. I want to book this exact unit again next year. We did not expect the many safety issues that we encountered. There are broken latches on doors and windows, and no information provided for the appliances, electronics, and golf cart. The 8 page Vrbo/ Catalina Island Vacation Rental contract stipulates in 8 pages the rules, regulations and expectations. We understand our obligation as guests, but the owners, management company and agents have obligations too. Multiple burned out light bulbs on the stairway, entry and master bedroom are hazardous for both the young and old. Doors that don't open or lock are unacceptable, as are windows that are stuck wide open. The french door latches are either broken or inoperable. The closets are filled with junk and old appliances, which we only found while looking for light bulbs and linens. The golf cart works but the driver's seat has a large peeling duct tape patch over a hole that potentially mars clothing. There is no manual for the golf cart--safety issue. The unit is 2 bedroom but advertises 6 person capacity, so use of sofa bed is necessary. Only sheets were provided--had to go to the cluttered, unkempt closet to look for pillows, clean cases and blankets! No live TV upstairs, no smart TV downstairs. There are two microwaves in the kitchen because the built in one doesn't work. NO ICE! The ice maker/water dispenser have been removed from the refrigerator but there are no ice trays. The cookware and appliances are plentiful, but are thrown into cupboards, so hard to find. We reached out to Vrbo our first night for assistance, and never got a follow up response. The Catalina Company office was closed, but was cc'd on our email, and didn't respond either. Hopefully, some time and some money invested into this stunning unit will provide a safe, stress free and enjoyable stay--good luck!

Looks as described. View is amazing and the community is nicely kept. While we were extremely happy we had one, the only thing I would recommend is upgrading the golf cart. It worked fine and got us to where we needed to go, but it's a little worse for the wear. That being said, we couldn't have been happier with our stay and plan on visiting the island again.

My family had a great experience! Everything in the unit was clean and working. It is definitely larger than the pics let on. The included covered golf cart holds 6 and was easy to drive and park. We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful stay

This was our second time staying in Hamilton cove on Catalina island but first time at this rental. The rental was perfect!! Gorgeous views and very spacious. It was only my husband and I but 6 people could have fit very comfortably. Not too many steps compared to other locations in Hamilton cove. The golf cart was wonderful to have but could use an upgrade and only seats 4. Overall very great rental property and would happily stay again!
