Exceptional

Very pleasant and hospitable hostess. She brought me from the bus station, offered cakes and fruit, helped with everything during my stay. The apartments have a fresh renovation and new furniture. Close to the small beach (10 minutes walk). There are big supermarkets nearby. I would really like to stay here again.

Excellent price-quality ratio

The accommodation was clean and everything worked as it should. The host was very nice and caring. Free parking was found in the yard of the accommodation. The bed was comfortable to sleep on. The location was great, it was a short walk to the center and the location was peaceful.A wonderful garden.

For some reason, however, the booking application showed the accommodation in the wrong building about 50 meters away. It's hardly the accommodation's fault, but it's still worth fixing.

Very good

Spacious studio in a private house with a separate entrance. Clean. Description and photos match. Large balcony with mountain and garden views. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils for cooking. The house is 15-20 minutes walk from the center and the bus station, 5 minutes walk from the shopping center and Lidl, 7-10 minutes walk from beach and Oseiyawa park. The hostess picked me up by car from the bus station. She was attentive, provided brief information about the city, places to visit and tourist maps.

Bathroom surfaces could be cleaned better.

Modern and clean room. The apartment had everything we needed (fully equipped kitchen), the hairdryer in the bathroom. We appreciated the nice, modern and minimalistic furnishings of the apartment, the spacious, modern and perfectly clean bathroom. Clean bed and sheets. The owner paid great attention to cleanliness. We give her 100 points for that. There was no problem with parking. The owner was very helpful and gave us a map of the Makarska river. The garden of the hotel is romantic, beautiful and pleasant.

Despite the fact that the accommodation is dog friendly, we would not go here again with dogs. The owner was kind to the dogs, but she had so many worries, that she treated us like complete morons on the first day. We told her that our dogs live in the apartment with us, they are well behaved and they know how to behave. We even told her that we had our own camera with us to watch them when we left them alone. We even told her that our dogs also have their own traveling health insurance, which includes furniture insurance in the accommodation (if they destroy something). But she kept repeating that our dogs could destroy her furniture, that we must go for walks with them and so on. We know how to take care of our dogs. They were with us every morning in the nature and on the dog beach. But they could not be outside for the whole day because of the very warm weather, so we wanted to leave them to rest for three hours alone in the room (they are trained for that). The owner was very unpleasant about it and scared us to death with her threats. Her unpleasant welcome screwed up our first three days of vacation. In the end, everything went without problems, but the welcome was definitely not dog friendly at all. Every day we cleaned the room after the dogs. We had our own broom and cleaning products and the owner was happy with us. Maybe next time she won't be full of prejudice against dog owners. Just for info: The nearest beach is very very small. It's just a small spot. If you want go to a city beach and promenade, you need to take a walk for a couple of minutes, min. 20 minutes). We used to go to Tučepi and Baška Voda by car every day.

The garden is wonderful, the property style and design is so nice, everything is done with love and taste. The lady-owner of the property so nice and friendly, she has wonderful garden and sharing the harvest from the garden with us :)

A lovely stay in a large well equipped self catering studio apartment with extremely helpful owner

Large room, comfy bed, good kitchen, big balcony. Exceptionally friendly helpful owner really made the stay at the apartment fantastic. She helped me with advice on the local area, did the laundry, showed me the lovely garden and turtles, printed my tickets and even gave me a lift to the bus station.

Small few things in the apartment need repaired like chair, tap, blind. A bread knife would have been good to cut bread. The apartment is located in nice quiet location, but you do hear noise from other guests in the corridor and buzzing from fridge/ACs.

Owner was very rude!

It's up a hill just out of Makarska. It's basic and was clean. The shower is cold. No tea or coffee!

We were not welcomed and the room was not ready. We were ok to wait but the owner lady was still very rude saying she was not happy we had only booked one night and we had booked too late in the day. When we left we didn't realise that booking.com had not taken payment. We were happy to pay cash and did so immediately we realised but again the lady was rude and she said I was 'really acting english'. She essentially accused us of being dishonest!...Which considering I have used booking.com happily for many years and countless happy stays around the world, is clearly a wrong accusation. At that point I had enough and said she should learn how to be a proper host and make guests feel welcome and she went crazy and gave us the finger, several times!! Hilarious !! ... but awful at the same time.
