The staff was nice and helpful, but they don't speak English at all, none whatsoever. My arms are so tired from gesturing.
The hot water works great.
The facility is really rundown. The toilet and the sink faucet leak like crazy.
The rooms on the 4th floor are basically a furnace all day and night, even at 3 a.m. with the fan on full blast. We asked to be moved to the 1st floor, which is slightly better because hot air rises to the upper floors, but it is still very uncomfortable. In both rooms, the mosquitoes were eating us alive. Unbelievable!
The worst part is the bar right across the street blasting loud drums and cymbals until 1a.m. every freaking night. I understand that it's not the hotel's fault, but I do not understand how people can write reviews gushing about the "location" of this hotel

It’s location and price.
The room was full of mosquitoes and they made our miserable. I heard another guests had the same issue.

The hotel is very well located. They should include directions from the airport. They may add small fridges in the rooms so we can have cold water or drinks.
The TV in the room does not provide enough choice, especially to the international visitors who do not speak spanish. We were not able to connect our phones with the TV in the rooms.

People very helpful and professional!

I liked the location which is close to the city centre, but not right in the middle. It is also close to the metro and bus, as well as some nice eating places. I thought the staff were quite responsive to some issues that popped up. The rooms were big and it was really good value for money given the location and other accomodation available.
A few issues came up re: the bathroom however this was sorted. There was also zome maintenance issues in general with the place however it doesn't outweight the good location and value for money.

Loved it. I have been a long time user if Airbnb both as host and traveller and the quality has dropped significantly since the COVID thing. I have been expanding out if my usual areas in DF as well as Roma has been destroyed by biz closures, inflation and gentrification. My trips to the city have been horrible in the last two years. Hotel Panuco is a gem of an era gone by. The rooms are very large and so are the bathrooms, it was such a treat to stay somewhere that was about the user experience and comfort instead of how many beds they can get in 0wr square foot to maximize profit. The bathroom was DIVINE! I often look for a bathtub when traveling because I live at the coast and absolutely nobody uses them here. Plus the city is freezing. This Jacuzzi was huge and in this massive bathroom with a rain shower. The bed was a big cozy king and I loved the old school windows you could open all the way. The staff was so nice, everyone said hello to me in hallways and the front and they just seemed to be joyful and satisfied with their work, another rare thing in the city and these days. After two years of feeling miserable everytime I have to go to the capital for some sort of government apt, this is the first time I left happy and it was 💯 this hotel. Just renewed my faith that not everyone is a miserable low grade mass market greedy pig. I know that's harsh, but anyone old enough to remember knows it wasn't always this miserable. I hope they never tear this place down and make micro condos made of paper and rules. I will be staying here on every trip from now on. Even the couple selling coffee at the stand across the street at 7am were jovial and friendly. The experience was absolutely perfect, thank you.

Good location, central for most things. Reasonable value for money considering the price/night
There was a continuous hum of something (air conditioning it sounded like?) throughout the night. The hot water took a long time to come hot - about 5 minutes of running the tap waiting for it - wasting water :(

The staff attention and the location of the hotel. Big bed.
There were some leaks of the shower on to the bathroom floor, the bed was a bit hard and not so many storage places for the clothes.

The noise from the street--bring ear plugs! Otherwise everything is fine.

Very good price-to-value. Location near historical center. Friendly and helpful staff - for example they repaired broken toilet flush immediately and let us leave baggage after check-out hours.
Bathroom was a little used-up, but ok for this price. Wifi was going off sometimes, although the speed was alright
