Beautiful place to relax after a surf! In the pool, under the beautiful trees. Staff were so friendly and food was great! And walking back along the track after a sunset surf, surrounded by fire fly's was pretty special.
Highly Recommend

The place was absolutely stunning, with a clean outdoor area with pool and a beautiful room with a/c. It is located in walking distance from the beach, and is very quite and relaxing. The staff was lovely and made us feel so welcome. If we needed anything they were there to help at once! This place really gives you value for your money!!! (the place also has a generator, so when there are planned power cuts you still have power!!)
We did not have any negative experiences here!

Villa Fauna is an oasis of well-being. The garden with swimming pool, lounge and hammock invites you to relax. The large dining area is perfect for barbecues and shared curry dinners.
The service is courteous and very friendly, Debby and Matt are great hosts and have great tips for exploring the area.
The food is excellent and varied and when the team serve cocktails, no wish is left unfulfilled.
Drinking water is included in the price and cold soft drinks are available for a small fee, as is a delicious espresso with foamed milk.
Thanks to the in-house generator, powercuts can be bridged well and the wifi is stable.
A nice surf spot is within walking distance and a few cafés are worth a visit.

I spent several weeks in the Villa Fauna and my whole stay was just perfect. The location of the villa is super nice and in a very quiet area, but still easy to reach to beach and city.
The stuff is always super friendly and is taking care of all the needs of their visitors. They are serving an incredible breakfast every morning and are always super supportive, whenever I had any question or request.
I would always book another holiday at this place, I had an unforgettable vacation there.

I couldn’t be more satisfied. The Villa is really nice and bright. Everything is well kept. The two locals who work at the Villa got all the contacts, know-how and information about how to arrange things. They helped organize my trip around the island with busses, safari and such. The two german hosts are super welcoming and great if your new to the arrea. They can show you where to surf and what market/party is happening when.
The Villa is a few hundreds m from the main road so it’s super quiet at night! I worked remotly from the Villa which work great. Internet is fast and they can also put in a wifi-booster in the room. There’s desks in the rooms.
The breakfast is superb! And Rashan also makes a mean Curry for dinner if you ask him!
The only downside I can think of is if you want to be super close to the main road / bars. You would have to walk a little bit. I rented a scooter through the Villa and then I think the location couldn’t be better tbh.

The Villa Fauna is an amazing place. The garden, with its own pool is beautiful ... Quiet and Peaceful. The rooms + bathrooms are great ... cozy, modern and clean! Nothing is missing ... An AC, Fan is in every Room.
The Staff: Roshan, Suppun and "Uncle" do an incredible job. Their smiling and hospitality is overwhelming. For breakfast they serve delicious fruits, fresh smoothies, eggs, toast and tea or coffee. Outstanding was the dinner... you can ask them to cook for you. Roshan and his team prepared the best Rice & Curry that we have eaten here in Sri Lanka. Highly Recommended... just ask them! It’s incredible!
We were lucky to get to know Frida. She is the owner of Villa Fauna and comes from Norway. An incredibly warm and inspiring person. We loved To spend time with her ... the conversations were so funny and inspiring. We will never forget her.
The Villa Fauna is located in Ahangama, a short distance from the main road away, so it is the perfect place. Beautiful & so peaceful. The nearest beach is in walking distance. But you can also book a tuktuk on the property to get around. There are also many fine surf spots and restaurants in the area. For example, the fancy restaurant "TheKip" is the neighbourhood, just around the corner.
Allover ... first we booked only one night, but then extend our stay to a few More Days.
I can highly recommend the Villa Fauna.
Nothing - It was perfect.

This amazing hidden gem, a short walk away from the beach, but just far away enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the main road, was an absolutely delightful find! Villa fauna is a peaceful oasis, designed perfectly for relaxing and unwinding! The rooms are spotless, the beds like lying on a cloud, and the pool and property surrounds are a dream come true. What really made villa fauna was the incredibly friendly and obliging staff. Rashan is always on hand to cook up a delicious curry, or to help with anything you might need. I was lucky enough to meet Frida, the owner of the villa, during my stay, which made my experience even more a special one!
The villa is a short walk from a delightful cafe, and close to a great swimming beach and Main Street. I immediately extended my stay at Villa Fauna, and can’t wait to return again!
There was nothing to complain about!

Very friendly staff, a quiet and nice play to relax. But it's a bit off the main road so you'll need to take a tuc tuc to get there.
