Het was een belevenis om in de watertoren te slapen. Overal was aan gedacht, welkomstpakket, Netflix. Het zag er super verzorgd uit, we hebben genoten!

Unique space in a fantastic location, few minutes walk to the main attractions. Excellent communication from host, call to say it was ready early, sent a link for directions for free parking and lots of information on how to access. So much care has been taken to provide as much as possible to ensure stay is comfortable and enjoyable, like robes to wear, wine, beer, juice & water, snacks to eat. Lovely outside balcony to sit with view of canal. Comfortable bed, kettle and decent size cups for tea, magazines and board games, ample toiletries , air conditioning, safe, the list goes on and on. Really clever use of space, why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary, will always be glad we chose to stay here.
We loved it all

The owners are very kind and helpful. The interior is of good quality and high standard, e.g., the electrically adjustable bed or the Nespresso coffee machine, an air condition, adjustable lights, Netflix etc., and everything was clean and well prepared.
We knew that the tower is small and didn't expect much space but in reality, it is tiny (but yet cozy). If one is aware of the situation on site, then everything is fine.
The suitcases should not be too large, or it will be difficult to open them. We had planned to prepare our meals in the kitchen but with only two small pans and one cooking plate, that may turn out to be difficult. We managed to prepare a simple pasta dish in two steps on the first evening but eating it was also not that easy. You have to bring everything up to the 1st floor (15 steps of a spiral staircase) where you can sit either on a sofa or on a bank on the balcony (unfortunately, it was rainy and too windy to use it) but in both ways there is no table to put the plates on.
The remaining 28 steps of the narrow spiral staircase to the 2nd floor where the bed is are even more difficult to take, especially when you plan to transport two coffee cups or two glasses and a bottle of wine to the bed. Fortunately, I'm fit and healthy, but I swear, I've never taken so many steps in two and a half days. xD
Altogether, we enjoyed our stay and although we encountered some "drawbacks" it is just complaining at a high level. We're able to arrange with the situation and make the best of it.
In our opinion, one improvement would make sense: a table on the first floor to have a place for meals. To save space this could be a small folding table attached to the banister opposite to the sofa.

Living in a water tower, amazing but also cramped and awkward
