Welcome to your next great family vacation! We think you will love staying at our home and enjoying all of the fun in the sun that Pleasure Island has to offer. Here's why.
1. It's hard to beat the location.
Our home sits across the street from the bay and just one short block from the beach. We timed our walks with two young kids: 2 minutes and 45 seconds from our driveway to the sand! You'll walk about the same distance to launch your kayak or paddle board at the public access point on the bay. Great restaurants like Britts Donuts and all the fun of the Carolina Beach Boardwalk are only 0.7 miles away.
2. The views are fantastic.
Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening sunset as you watch the boats sail past from one of our massive decks that overlook the water. Head out to the cozy deck facing the ocean and listen to the waves, or escape to the crow's nest above the top floor and take in a full view of the ocean and Carolina Beach.
3. You'll have no trouble parking.
When you drive up, you'll find 100 feet of private parking in the carport and driveway—enough for 5-6 cars depending on what you drive. The carport also has plenty of space for storing any beach chairs and toys you bring from home. And unlike most properties in the area, we have a backyard that's perfect for games and lounging.
4. You'll have access to a private elevator.
Our unit occupies the top 2 floors of a 3-story building, and the building itself is lifted. Walk up two flights of stairs or ride the private elevator from the carport to get to the main entrance on the 2nd floor or the 3rd floor living space.
5. There is a room for everyone...
Our home has 5 bedrooms (11 beds) and 5 full bathrooms.
Main floor:
BR1 has a king bed, sleeper couch, enclosed full bathroom, and it opens onto the deck
BR2 has a queen bed and enclosed full bathroom
Top level:
BR3 faces the bay and opens up onto a 32x8 deck. This room is set up like a second living room and has more than 400sq ft of living space. Two couches in front of the fireplace open into beds. Across the room, you'll find a double bed and a single bed near the entrance to the enclosed full bathroom. There is also a rollaway twin in the closet. The room easily sleeps 8—a perfect spot for kids.

6. ...and everyone will have a seat at the table.
On the main level you'll find an open floor plan kitchen and living room that opens onto another 32x8 deck. The indoor dining table seats 10, and there is extra seating for 6 at the bar, 6 at the game table in the living room, and 14 on the deck. No one will have trouble finding a seat! The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals and enough serving dishes, glassware, and utensils for 18.
7. Our home is family friendly.
If you have kids, you'll find that our home offers a few family-friendly perks that most other places do not. In addition to a closet full of toys and games that your kids can enjoy—and an Xbox hooked up to the TV in the upstairs bedroom/living room—we have several things that parents will appreciate:
* Pack-and-play (sheet not included)
* Baby monitor
* White noise machine
* Retractable gates attached to the top and bottom of the stairs
* Convertible booster seat (6 months to 4 years)
8. We have lots of amenities to make your stay fun and comfortable, including starter amounts of dishwasher pods, dishwashing soap, whole bean coffee, creamer, sugar packets, and 2-in-1 body wash+shampoo.
But it's important to note that bath towels and bed linens are NOT included. If you want to save some money and bring what you need from home, be our guest. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer on the main floor (just remember to bring detergent). We have pillows for 18 (all with protective covers) and comforters.
If you'd rather have fresh towels, linens, and bathmats waiting for you when you arrive, we can connect you with our local partner Seaside Linens. They make it easy to customize your towel/linen rental order online and pay directly.
Alternatively, we can take care of everything for you if you add Seaside's Premier Linen package to your reservation. This $350 rental package includes bath towels for 18, 5 bath mats, and fresh linens for all 11 beds.

Plenty of room for adult children to reconnect without being in each others spaces! Everyone had plenty of room and their own bathrooms! Had all the amenities you need and more! Close to beach, boardwalk and fishing. Time well spent with family after a long deployment! Highly recommend!

In a word, it's perfect! The stay was easy to book reinforced by the prompt answers to questions we sent to our host, Eric. We were impressed by the comprehensive pamphlet containing instructions for anything and everything about the home as well as the great video.
Upon arrival, the parking was spacious enough for our 5 cars and the entry was easy having read the instructions! Inside the home was CLEAN, SPACIOUS, and had everything we needed. It was the perfect space for our party, to include the little ones. The large supply of dishes and glassware were appreciated. We purchased the linen package which had everything we needed.
Temperature regulation was fine. The beds were all comfortable and we slept soundly. The elevator was a godsend and seriously improved life. TV, WIFI, etc. all worked just fine. The 6-minute walk to the beach was quick and easy.
In summary, our large group was there for our daughter's wedding, and we wanted a large home to gather and chill together before and after. It provided exactly what we hoped for and more. If looking for a Carolina Beach home or one within a shortish drive to Wilmington, book this one with the utmost confidence.

We traveled to the area with family for a baby shower and a college visit. This was the perfect house to share time with our family at the beach. It’s a beautiful, spacious house. It was very convenient having the elevator for my parents. Many family members took daily walks in the area. It’s very easy to get to many restaurants and attractions. The owners have a wonderful guide to ease through check in and your time a the house including some suggestions on restaurants and things to do. Eric was very quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend staying at this house. We would definitely stay here when in Carolina Beach again.

The house was perfect for our group's trip. We had 4 kids under 8 and really appreciated what the house had for them (games/puzzles, baby gates, booster seats, etc). Super close to the beach, and Eric was very responsive to all of our messages.

10 adults and 7 grandchildren all stayed in this wonderful beach house. A short walk to ocean, lots of recreation and fun things to do. Loved the location! House spacious with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms.

Definitely recommend this place. Our family had an amazing time during the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was very clean and well maintained. It’s only a block from the beach and there was plenty of space. Eric was very accessible and responsive both prior to and during our stay. The refrigerator was working properly and Eric came out the same day and replaced with a brand new refrigerator and repaired the existing! We will be staying here again.

Our family from the southeast and northeast gathered together on Carolina Beach to spend a week together. The property was great for our needs and was so close to the beach. We had great communication with Eric as he was always willing to ensure we our accomodations were taken care of. Lovely experience!

1st I would like to say that Eric is a host that responds quickly however when my family arrived we notice that the bunk bed was broken(top bed was removed) Eric did provide a rollaway bed but he forgot to inform us. The house had dirty areas, dishwasher( Eric did inform us the 3rd day that the dishwasher was being replace and ask us if we would mind if the new one be delivered during our stay) we didn’t want our stay interrupted. The lazy Susie was dirty and the house has roaches. I spoke with Eric and he apologize and stated that they are bad in August and meant to have this taken care of but he didn’t. The house was roomy for my family but in the future have these things taken care of before your guest arrives and let your guest know of issues that come up at the last minute before they find the issues on there own.

My family and I had a fantastic experience staying at this property. The location was great, and the house was beautiful, spacious, and cozy. My Nieces and Nephews (18 - 21) were able to have their own space while their parents, grandparents and I were able to have our own space as well. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a great place for you and your family to stay, then this is the place for you!

From check in to check out, this beautiful home has been a favorite to our group. Eric was completely accommodating and quick with communication. Very polite. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The beautiful home had waterfront views and ocean views as well. Home was Very spacious and provided areas for quite time and or privacy. Awesome property, great location
We had a wonderful time with 9 adults, 1 child and an infant. Property owner was easy to access, responded immediately and positively to any needs or concerns. Even though the weather was iffy with all the storms brewing, we still got plenty of beach time and had a wonderful time at the coast. Eric, thank you once again for being such a great host. 2020 Beach week
We stayed the Aug 17-22 for a week with friends from MD. 4 adults and 5 kids (8-11yo) and we had plenty of room (we could have invited another family!). I loved how there was spacious tables inside and outside. We were able to use the extra table in the living room for our puzzle. We cooked all our meals due to COVID; the kitchen was easy to work in and had plenty of table wear. The location was great, quite near the new publix and it was a very short walk to the beach! Eric was easy to communicate with via text. Would stay again!

Amazing house and owners! Highly recommend!
House was very clean upon our arrival and it seemed as if the owners thought about everything possible. There were extra games for kids, pillows, comforters, etc. We rent a house close to the beach every year for a large family vacation and this place was the best one by far! Highly recommend this house and these owners!

Family getaway
We vacation with my immediate extended family every year. We had to find a new place for the 18 of us. This place didn't disappoint. The owner was responsive and great to work with. I was worried about distance from beach because we had a large group with a variety of ages but it was no problem; it was just as the description said. It was a lovely home and the sunset view was amazing!

Great space & location!
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! It was exactly as described & the space was just perfect for our large group. The home has ample rooms, beds & seating...kids loved having their own 2nd TV hangout room upstairs. We enjoyed dinner on the balcony every night & watched the sun set over the canal. The house is just steps from the beach so we could go back & forth easily (it was a quieter part of the beach which was nice for an otherwise crowded Memorial Day weekend in CB!) Also near the State Park which we enjoyed for paddle boarding/hiking. Owner was a great communicator throughout & super helpful! Would stay here again!
