Extremely clean home with comfortable furniture in three different living spaces. Very close to a wide stretch of beach. The access has both a wooden ramp and relatively flat sand dune.
We enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets from the many well maintained decks. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The very nice community pool was steps from the house. This was our 30th trip to the Outer Banks and this home is definitely in our three five favorite!

The property was beautiful. Great location. The hot tub and bar area was awesome and the proximity to the beach and pool was perfect. Quiet street on the dead end street. Highway traffic was noisy but nothing that ruined our vacation. . A few pieces of the furniture were damaged prior to our arrival, mostly the ottoman that was missing a leg. The living room furniture in general was dated but comfortable. The only other “issue” we encountered was the “palmetto” bug that took up residency in the pantry and the mold under the kitchen sink. But it is a lovely home and was very clean and comfortable for my whole family.

Plenty of space, nice amenities and in a great location just a short drive from restaurants and a walk from the beach.

Every year my daughter and I meet my sister in law for a girl's trip for spring break. This year we choose OBX. The house was centrally located to the south and north of the island . So it was easy to commute to either end.

The Nauti Buoy is an amazing house! Only 3 of us were able to make the trip, so having a bedroom AND bathroom for each of us to ourselves was amazing! You won't be disappointed if you stay here!

Small kitchen. No place to set up a jigsaw puzzle.

TL;DR: Good location. Pet stains on carpet, not enough basic things provided like soap and paper towels. Kinda pricey but overall not bad.
Location of the property was great, pretty central and close to beach access. The carpets inside the house were a bit rough, being somewhere that is pet friendly, I would probably have opted for rugs instead of carpeted everywhere. Our dogs were sniffing on some darker stains which leads me to believe there had been a few messes. They only provided 2 hand soaps total, one paper towel roll, one big trash bag for the kitchen, no dish soap, and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. If you’re staying for a longer period of time, you’ll need to bring your own things, which was not outlined to us. The VRBO listing didn’t have any of the checkout duties listed either. We had to use a separate app to view the property and communicate with them which was slightly annoying, but they were quick to communicate. Overall, the place was pretty good, I’d honestly give it 3.5 stars not 4 due to some of the lack of basics.

This was our 2nd stay at Nauti Buoy—graciously accommodated our group of 12 adults. We easily fit 4 vehicles in the driveway. We cooked dinners every night, and found the kitchen to be well-stocked with cookware. Access to the beach is really convenient; we were easily able to pack up and get back to the house at the first sight of a storm. Proximity to grocery, dining and shopping is a plus. The property does back up to the coastal highway, which is loud. We did not hear the noise from inside the house, but you will hear it when in the hot tub or on the back decks. We loved the game room and made use of the community pool. We had some problems with the garbage disposal and with the air conditioning during our stay, but the management company quickly responded and rectified both issues promptly.

Was all that we wanted and more. Easy walking distance to the beach, great amount of rooms and bathrooms. Many air mattresses already available. Sweet welcome letter with wine! Would definitely book this place again and again!

Property was as listed, professionally cleaned home, bathrooms, etc, plastic packaged towels and wash cloths provided. House does have an ocean view although it is hard to tell, sound side view is excellent and great colors during sunset. Takes maybe 3 minutes to walk down to public beach access on a great part of Nags Head. Plenty of games available and TV in every room if that's what you are looking for. Beautiful home, plenty of entertainment, more outdoor decks than we knew what to do with on sound side and ocean side. Close to grocery store for food etc, plenty of year round restaurants, stop at Hrits Grill for breakfast you will be glad you did, and make time to visit wright brothers memorial, Jockey State park, Roanoke Island aquarium, 4x4 Corolla for wild Horses, Bodie Island light house, I could go on, just enjoy OBX and come home to this beautiful beach getaway.

We had a great time at this house, it was perfect for a large group of people! Lots of kitchen utensils and space for people to lounge comfortably. The close proximity to the beach was also a plus !

Check in at 4 by the time unpacked visited a bit and ate it was time for bed. When my Granddaughter and boyfriend went to open sofa bed it was broken and unusable. Their was a note that said broken 6/23/22 owner. That was over a month. They had to sleep on the floor. I reported next day and was supplied with an air mattress which at least got them off the floor. The house was also very dirty I tried to vacuum it myself however the vacuum was missing it's belt which is likely why the rugs looked like they did. I put a note on it so hopefully the maids got it fixed instead of pushing around a broken one that picks up nothing. The coffee maker stopped working after 2nd use. It was replaced and new one worked great. The house had a nice set up convenient to pool and beach. Part of our group really enjoyed the hot tub. Plenty of dishes and silverware. The drywall needs repairing in numerous places. Resort Realty was quick to supply the air mattress and coffee pot I just feel a better inventory and check should be done ahead. Over a month for a broken sleep sofa is not acceptable. When you rent a sleep 17 thats what you should get!

Loud house. Don't recommend if you value sleep. Beach is block away across road w/lots of traffic
Pros- *House is well appointed. The blender was broken when we arrived. We didn't know it, it started smoking on us.
*Plenty of room for you to find a place to sit, be with everyone else, or be alone.
*Comfortable beds, plenty of closets, hooks, & dressers to put your stuff away.
Cons owner can't control but you should know.
*Highway noise is VERY loud, even inside. There's no way to sugarcoat it.
*House construction right next door which means there's an outhouse basically on the property. Also, our tire picked up a nail from the construction site next door which resulted in a flat tire. I wish we knew about it because we probably would not have picked this property since we know that's a risk. There was a lot of rain which I'm sure helped bring the nail into our driveway. I walked around &saw lots of nails along with cigarette butts.
*Neighbors let their dogs roam free so there were big piles of poop feet from our driveway.
*Road to cross to the beach isn't suitable for kids to cross alone. Just an fyi since I didn't realize how busy that road was when I booked. My fault.
Cons the owner can control.-
*Amount we paid for this house, we expected sheets & towels to be included. Your contract doesn't state whether you're #7 or 8 on the contract. Fyi, you're#8 & you don't get sheets/towels. If you buy the package, it doesn't include beds being made. We reached out and voiced our concerns and the owner chose not to include the linens. They didn't even offer to meet halfway.
*It was advertised to sleep 17 people & advertised a queen sleeper which obviously sleeps two people. Upon our arrival, we saw a note from the owner that it's been broken for 3 weeks. The property MGMT company didn't even know. Our response from the property management company was that we could use our own air mattress. We chose this place because we needed a place that slept 17, not 15. This was a huge error on their part &unacceptable.
*Third story was at least 90 plus degrees! The air conditioning unit didn't work upstairs. We had to have maintenance come in about 5 times to check it, work on it,& fix it. It took about 24 hours to get it completely fixed.
*Grill was out of propane. They replaced it the next day, but we had to come up with a quick plan B since we were planning on grilling. So check the propane level right away to see if it's full.
*Ice maker only made a few cubes a day. We reported it to maintenance & never heard back- bought own ice

Love OBX
The property and floor plan were amazing. My 4 grown kids, each had their own room and very comfortable beds and accomodatios. The kitchen and great room were our favorite places. The hot tub was a close second, and the Gamow room was well used. We haven’t played that much together in years.
Overall an amazing property and experience

Good Time
It's a very nice house, our stay was enjoyable. The kitchen is loaded with items. It's a lot of steps if you have aches. But I have to say if you sleep light you can hear the highway traffic even in the house. Once I fell asleep it was fine I stayed asleep.

NAUTI BUOY WEEK
Great property. Even though on the main thoroughfare could not hear the traffic once in the house unless you opened the doors/windows. Nice location, close to the beach and community pool (even though it was closed when we went).

Christmas 2020
We Found our stay very lovely over Christmas vacation. In this Covid world, we wanted to place to go away where out family could feel safe The kitchen was very well appointed however there was not a high chair as advertised. There was a booster seat but no straps to attach it to the seat. Made it very difficult
