Style and location of the hotel on the West Bank. Menu at the restaurant had various options and changed daily. The owner helped to arrange the West Bank Tour and Hot-Air Balloon Ride (a must), which we thought the prices were fair and hassle-free. The easy and convenient boat shuttle from hotel to East Bank. WiFi was excellent throughout the hotel, and very good laundry services! The entire premise was beautiful and unique and much better than staying on the East Bank with the cookie-cutter style chained hotels.
We stayed in the Sapphire Suite and liked it a lot, as it was tastefully decorated, private, quiet and spacious. There are many rooms on site, all decorated differently, and wish we could have a tour on a few of them!
It's Egypt after all and we cannot compare the staff services with other countries. Although there were not many guests and the staff were all friendly, there is still room for improvement (talking about restaurant). We learnt that you need to be very precise of what you want. For example, if you ordered FRESH mint tea one night and the next night you wanted the same, you must explicitly asked for the EXACT same thing, or you might get a Lipton teabag with some dried mint leaves. Egyptians would always come with some excuses first, then 5 mins after they realised what happened, they would ask if they could bring you a new pot with fresh mint leaves.

The structure is very beautiful, the rooms are spacious and the restaurant is excellent. There is a free transport service on the other side of the Nile (where there are more shops and activities, but also a lot more noise).
Unfortunately, a series of events really ruined our stay, if not our holiday. On January 1st they knocked on the door at 8 in the morning to make up the room, thank goodness we were awake, but we asked not to do any cleaning. Upon returning we discovered that the cleaning had been done anyway, and we noticed that one item was missing. We pointed it out. The hotel refunded us the value of the item. The next day when I returned to my room my traveling companion injured her back due to a pin (metal niddle) in the pillow. This was quite disturbing because if he had put his face on it instead of his back I can't imagine what could have happened. Once the event was reported, the staff actually downplayed the incident, even asking me if we had put the pin in the lining. At dawn on the third day we couldn't wait to leave. All of this things, added to the owner who does not follow sufficient personal hygiene, does not allow this place to live up to what it offers.

Lovely location, peaceful and quiet across the Nile away from city of Luxor.
Lighting in the rooms was terrible.
And no hairdryer in the room but got one from front desk

Super Oasis on the West Bank!
For travelers wanting a boutique style personalized experience this should definitely be a top consideration.
So much thought has gone into making sure guests are relaxed and enjoy Luxor without dealing with the hawkers trying to push you into activities you don’t desire at every turn.
We had an excellent driver arranged through the hotel, knowledgeable, great price and no stop offs at alabaster, pottery, silver, perfume, etc etc shops ( unless you desire to do so) a true bespoke itinerary! Absolutely priceless! Lovely food, the evening menu changes daily! The hosts and owners Marina and Mohamed are warm and welcoming! Oh and did I mention the courtesy boat they provide from the property to go to the East bank during most of the day? A real treat, we managed to go across a few times at sunset and enjoyed the stunning views 🥰

The ultimate “boutique” motel , nestled in fertle farmland created in the nile flood plains , is this beautiful and serene gem of a resort. Created , decorated , owned , operated by Marina (sp?), one of the most interesting and entertaining characters I have met on all my travels , this is somewhere I hope to return to and just relax and enjoy for a much longer time . With less than forty guest rooms , each individual in its own way , attention to the guests is unparalleled . Its like being carried away and landing in a more peaceful dignified world or time . I loved this place .
Any fault would have to be ignored by the overwhelmingly positive experience!

Prachtig hotel aan de Nijl. Mooie grote kamer, sfeervol ingericht. Personeel is super aardig.

Staff were kind.thoughtful; easy taxi service provided by the hotel (for a slightly higher than expected price); architecture
No control of room AC - was cold and no way to change it; scenic location but no real food options around and so the river crossing becomes a bit of a hassle.

Very nice pleasant staff
Large spacious room with nice balcony.
Large bathroom and generous amount of towels provided
Powerful shower with plenty of hot water.
Swimming pool
Nice sitting area around in the gardens and around the pool.
Electrical sockets need securing to the wall to improve safety
Very hard and uncomfortable mattress
Standard of evening food needs to be improved
Would benefit from an indoor restaurant for the winter months. It was very cold in the early morning and evening!!

Historic resort hotel right on the Nile with beautiful pool and grounds and private ferry across the river. Owner moved us to a much better room on request for second night.
First night's room was pretty but noisy location right by main entrance, with window right above our heads we couldn't open and blasting AC. Beds were extremely hard. Out of the way location.

We absolutely loved our stay here. In fact it was one of our highlights of Egypt. The Palace is absolutely stunning! It’s also nestled amongst farmland and on the river Nile so it’s incredibly peaceful.
The staff are all lovely and helpful too.
There is nothing about our stay here that disappointed us. Everything was exceptional.

A majestic hotel in a lovely place. Im impressed about everything. From the architecture to the warmth of Marina the owner! She arranged every detail of our trip to make it memorable.

It was quiet on the west bank and had a great view of the Nile River as the sun rose in the morning. The hotel is richly designed and unique, giving you an extraordinary feeling that will make you feel like you are in a picture book.
Good hot water output, water pressure, and drainage.
No mineral water.
Foreigners also need plastic bottles for gargling, so they want free plastic bottles for each person. One bottle costs 20EGP and is available in the room.
Take a taxi from the airport or station to the pier (nail queen restaurant) on the east coast.
After that, there are narrow and steep stairs to board the ship. It's quite difficult to carry a suitcase.
For young and healthy people.

Its location looking across the Nile was excellent. The Ruby suite was spacious like being in a Coptic church with its high domed ceiling. Some amazing window shutters Egyptian furniture. Good food and breakfast. Free boat across to Luxor.

Very charming hotel in an interesting style on the quiet West Bank. Very easy free boat to the other side or direct to Luxor temple for a very small extra charge. Lunch and dinner in the hotel were good options. Really great at helping organise reasonably priced tours and activities. Especially impressed with the friendly and English speaking driver (with a very clean and new car) they organised to drive us around all the West Bank locations for a morning, and a sunset felucca ride.
Breakfast wasn’t amazing but fine by Egyptian standards. Would love it if they could invest in some better quality mattresses for the rooms to match their rest of the quality of the decor and hotel.

1.The architecture and internal decor, both of which are stunningly beautiful
2.The very quiet location on the West Bank right by the Nile River. The free boat service to the East Bank
3. The restaurant and early eating times both at breakfast and dinner.
4. Our quiet room
5. The Manager Marina who gives very practical advice, has a deep knowledge of the area and has a truly fascinating life story!
6. A swimming pool that one can swim lengths in.
Nothing.

The setting of the place is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and helpful especially the one from the breakfast who even speaks a little bit of Flemish, it was a very nice touch. The owners of the hotel took time to talk to us and gave us a lot of tips on what more to do in Luxor, because we already saw the more touristy spots with our Nile cruise guide. The free boat shuttle to the East bank is great, it gives the hotel the peace and quiet of the West bank and it gives you an easy way to enjoy the East bank whenever you feel like it.

The place is absolutely beautiful. Totally private. It really drives the old ancient Egyptian vibes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Got the opportunity to meet the owners of the place. Very friendly and versed. Even have its own boat to ferry you to the East Bank.
WiFi. The WiFi connection is very poor. But it's expected. 80% of the time I was in Egypt, WiFi connection was bad at most places. Had to rely on my mobile data for most of my Egypt trip which I got a local SIM card from the Cairo airport.

very pretty grounds. free shuttle boat makes it really easy to get from east to West Bank
wifi didn’t work in our room while we were there
