About this apartment rental
The Suit is a beautiful duplex apartment located at the third floor of the SHWAY60 Family House. You can check yourself in with a codelock. The apartment has an industrial style mixed with authentic Belgian materials such as natural stone and wooden floors. The apartment has everything you need; a queen size boxspring bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a flatscreen TV and a bathroom with a rain shower. Super location in the city centre, just perfect to explore Antwerp!
When you enter the apartment after climbing the steep stairs to the 4th floor of the building, you step right into the hallway where you have the bedroom in front of you, the bathroom on your right, and the stairs to the living area on your left. The bedroom has a queen size boxspring bed, a dresser, a clothing rack and two night stands on each side. The bathroom consists out of a toilet, a rain shower and a sink. On half way of the stairs to the living area, there is a built-in closet for your +2 guests who sleep in the living area. The living area has a dining table for 4, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable sofa bed (140x200cm), two relaxing chairs, a flatscreen TV with Netflix and most important: a beautiful view over the city!
We can assure you that this is just the best neighborhood of Antwerp. Super central, a quiet street, close to public transfer and public parkings, in the middle of the best shopping streets and within 10 minutes walking distance from the best restaurants, cafés and museums. The district is called Sint-Andries and it is located in the southern part of the city centre. The district is bordered by the "Historical Center" in the north, the "Theaterbuurt" in the east and "Het Zuid" in the south. Nowadays, it is the fashion centre of the city and a lot of famous Belgian designers are located here. Vintage, design, interior, fashion and boutiques are key words for what to find in this area.
The centre of Antwerp is a low-emission zone, please check the website city of Antwerp for more information. From Central Station you can take tram 8 to Nationale Bank and walk to the address in 7 minutes. If you are coming with the car, you can park for free at Vlaamsekaai, this is within 10 minutes walking distance from the building. You can also park the car at Indigo Parking Nationale Bank (address: Frankrijklei 166, 2000 Antwerp), for €17,- per 24h.
Please note that this apartment is located at the third and fourth floor with a typical Antwerp narrow and steep staircase. It could be a challenge when you are not prepared, but let's be honest: you need to work hard sometimes to get that extra nice view from the top floor over the city! It could be possible that you can hear noise from the streets, we provide earplugs just in case you need them.

The stairs were much more than we could handle, even though they were well described in listing. We couldn’t regulate the water temperature shower. The highlight was the bed … extremely comfortable.
Because of stairs and shower, we only stayed one night out of three. We informed host that we had left but never received a response. This was disappointing. A simple acknowledgement that we had left would have been much appreciated.

Very comfortable, well maintained flat to explore the city on foot.
The flat was very comfortable, very clean and well maintained and well appointed. We particularly enjoyed the excellent shower and mattresses. Electric heaters were also very effective. The flat was exactly as the photos suggested, but even a little more spacious than we had expected. Also exactly as per photos: to get to the flat one has to climb a quite steep and narrow stairs case. Our 7 year old kid had no difficulties with it. The location is fantastic and lends itself to exploring many different neighbourhoods on foot. We parked our car in the (17eur a day) Nationale Bank car park to avoid having to take public transport (due to Covid) but this is an easy to avoid cost. One hint: the small botanical garden in the vicinity is a real gem where one can relax on a bench. We recommend this flat without any hesitation and will stay there again in the future.
