It is an awesome cozy place with a lot of inspiration of different arts. We enjoyed staying here and are planning to come back again.

A lovely, peaceful spot in the heart of old Tarascon.
This is a quirky place, full of charm and artistic touches. Our host was lovely and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful and full of character, the room had everything we needed and the hosts were really welcoming and friendly. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay for a few days. We felt at home.

An intriguing 16th building in the heart of the village, this property was an eclectic mix of history & street art, from the huge timber front door to the artwork on the walls. The room was spacious & had picturesque views from each little window. Breakfast was very reasonable & served in the pretty courtyard. There was also a comfortable area here with plenty of books. The owners were very welcoming & made sure we were comfortable. Carol made recommendations for restaurants, offered the use of the washing machine & drove us to the station. The town of Tarascon was the perfect central location for exploring the towns of Avignon, Arles, Marseille & Aix-en-Provence.
The property was very dark, although there were lights to guide you up the stairs. The stairs were very steep & of differing heights. The tiles on the bedroom floor were very loose. The only lighting was lamps. The bathroom was small. All this can be forgiven considering the age of the building. The little quirks added character to the stay.

Fabulous and authentic with lovely touches of quirkiness so always something to catch your eye. I will choose rustic and interesting every time over modern and Rue de Chateau was perfect. The bathroom was freshly renovated and our room had a view out to the street. It was HOT but a cool shower before bed with the ceiling fan was enough for a comfortable sleep. We chose to stay in Tarascon to have lunch at the Bistro du Paradou which is nearby but I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Souleiado fabric museum and boutique in Tarascon - fabulous, unfortunately way out of my budget but nice to dream!

Nice little breakfast in a stunning courtyard, decorated with style and taste. Perfect for arty people. Our room was tastefully decorated as well and very quiet location. The host was very helpful with local information.

The location is very picturesque just across from the castle, and the room was cute and very large, and with a very comfortable tub and basic toiletries.
The listing says there's free parking, but the inn is on a pedestrian street right across from the castle, and we were extremely frustrated to circle the village again and again (and get stuck on a pedestrian street) looking for this parking. The village parking near the castle thought we waited for a while, even past the castle closing (which meant we didn't get to visit it), and we parked near the train station fifteen minutes away. When we told the proprietor we were parked there she didn't suggest anything else, so there's no parking there. The breakfast was fine but at 9 euros a person a little steep. The proprietor was very friendly in French but doesn't speak English so if that's important to you just be aware and bring a phrasebook.

This is a place of real character, with a generous host and hostess, which people who are bored with standard hotels will love.

The owners of this family-owned hotel are delightful. The husband, Gwen (sp?), speaks English well and both were very helpful and accommodating. I would say the photos do the property more than justice so don't be surprised if you find the atmosphere and property itself to be more casual than you expected. Even so, we found RDC deserving of its 3-star rating and an overall hospitable stay at a convenient location.
The hotel is extremely hard to find for the uninitiated. Persistence is required but you will find it. Also, the photos convey a more upscale, chateau vibe than is actually the case. Still, we enjoyed our stay, and now that we know where to find it and what to expect, we would stay at Rue Du again

The hosts are absolutely lovely and make you feel so welcome. I would definitely stay there again just for that reason. The style of the place is also extremely charming and full of character.
I would not change anything.

absolutely gorgeous house that was tastefully restored by the very kind Danish couple that is running the b&b

The stuff was friendly. It looks like a nice hostel.
Every restaurant or bar in this area seems to be only for man. Only man that are sitting there. I haven’t seen a single woman in a bar or restaurant that we passed.
There is a lot of garbage in the streets waiting for the garbage collection. it smells really bad.

A unique, eclectic building with beautiful decor and interiors. The room was lovely and had ample lighting and plugs, with a great shower
No aircon and it's a heatwave, and the ceiling fan only worked on lowest 2 settings so had a hard time sleeping. If it were cooler it would've been fine. But cool shower was very welcome

The place is very charming and we loved the style. It guarantees for immediate holiday atmosphere. Also the owners are super nice and helpful.
We really loved it, just minor details as that the cold water tab didn't work properly or that the bed was 1,40m but it didn't really matter and shouldn't keep you away!
