The property, the good side: The cabin is as pictured, decorated as vintage country style. The yard is large, mostly secluded and yard is equipped with many outdoor activity options. Cabin was acceptably clean and equipped. The screened porch is great. The property, the ? side: The posted pictures make the the rooms appear larger than they are. The cabin is probably comfortable for two couples or a couple and 2-3 kids but no more. As stated, it is decorated as vintage, unfortunately some of the "vintage" is probably picked up off side of the road, example is dresser in master BR. Property owner has hot water set so that it only gets warm, never hot. HVAC is controlled by a funky thermostat that continuously changes to some preset temps or either it is controlled remotely by wifi. Have to monitor the thermostat constantly to maintain cooler temp. A/C does not keep upstairs cool, no air flow. Property owner is aware of this because large BR has a portable cooling unit. Unfortunately the exhaust hose on it is damaged and will not stay attached. We manage to rig it so it would work to cool room somewhat but needs legitimate repair.Bottom line, we would rent this property again but we are now aware of its shortcomings. The positives do outweigh the negatives on this property but would not rate it as excellent (5 stars) but above average (4 stars).

I will give credit where it's due, the cabin was cute, clean, the beds were comfy, location was great, and the creek was a blast for my littles.. BUT the property manager was not responsive, the yard was cluttered, weird shed in the front, a bridge was connected to another property with a camper right next to it making it feel like someone could come on the property at any time, they had old ropes hanging over the creek (which my 8 year old swung on & it broke causing her to fall into the river & she landed on a tree), landline was not in working order, the hot water to the shower downstairs would go from scalding hot to freezing cold, and every night we would seem to get extreme headaches & feel very unwell. We had to cut our trip short leaving a day early because of how UNwell we felt. Highly disappointed with how this trip ended.

Absolutely beautiful property. So peaceful it was like massage sitting on the porch drinking coffee. Every little detail was done with love. My only recommendation is to replace the upstairs mattress in the double bed. There is a gigantic hole in the middle of the mattress.

Loved the setup and decor of this cabin. There were plenty of spaces to relax and congregate inside and out. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. We enjoyed having games to pass the time. And the washer and dryer came in handy too! The local contact was very prompt in answering questions. Would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was nice and rustic. The grandkids enjoyed the creek and the rocking horse. Helen was a short drive and all the hiking we did was a pretty close. Zip lined at unicoi state park lodge.

We had a great time staying at this cabin. It is rustic with all modern amenities. The backyard and porch with all the things to do was our family’s favorite part.

Beautiful cabin, we had a great time and really appreciate the kid friendly activities! We even learned some games we had not heard of before like Gaga ball! What a great vacation!

It was just what we needed to celebrate the 1 year anniversary passing of a family member. The cabin was just perfect . My only regret was not being able to stay longer.

Nice cabin, kids had fun in the creek and the rocking horse. Plus the hot tub was nice after a fun filled day hiking. Close to Anna ruby falls and unicoi state park. Plus other waterfslls

Cabin is rustic & unique. Clean, but rustic. Beds very comfortable. Outside/deck could use a little spring upkeep, but understand not every guest respects their vaction home like their own home. We tried to clean up & leave better than we came. Movie projector/screen & hot tub was a highlight of cabin. Instant hot water heater made for great family of 5 showers at end of the day. Surrounding hiking/waterfalls were beautiful!

The cabin was cozy and truly gave the “cabin” feel. Beds were comfortable. Quick drive to Helen. The outdoor yard was perfect with so much fun stuff to do including a swing-set. The creek was perfect for the kids to play in. We will definetly be returning!

Such a cozy cabin that it was our 2nd time staying in. With the help of Cyndi and staff my husband was able to surprise me with a Valentine get away! There is so much that this cabin offers. Whether you are going to just bird watch or play one of the MANY games offered there’s something for everyone! Can’t wait to go back!

We had the absolute best time. This cabin is so cozy and comfortable. My entire family enjoyed everything it had to offer. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to come back next year!

The Cabin is way smaller than it appears in the picture. The hot tub did not work and the repair man was suppose to get a part the day of check in to fix it and never came back so we did not get to use it. I called the guest contact Friday afternoon and never got an answer. The twin beds in the room with the full bed could hardly fit an adult. The twin bunk beds was very difficult to climb in the top bunk. The stars for the top bunk are in the wall and not connected to the bed.

We had the most extraordinary experience. The cabin is espectacular and the town is a dream for mountain lovers. Plenty of outdoor activities to share with the family. Property manager always attentive to solve any issue.

We got lost and spent an hour on a little dirt road. Called the contact person numerous times. No answer until the next day by text. The upstairs tub and sink leaked. 4 adults had to use the same shower. Cabin was clean and cute.

We loved this cabin. There's so much to do outside and you really couldn't ask for more with the setting! Beautiful creek, nice firepit and so, so quiet!

I wouldn't try to find this place for the first time in the dark, it's a bit like a geocache adventure. Once you get there you'll love it. It's tucked away and private, with charm and character. Beds are comfortable, hot tub is perfect, the stove is fun. :) Would like to stay again in the winter so we could make a fire. Cozy and sweet little getaway.

Quaint stay for a summer vacation
Spent 3 nights here for my 7 year old’s birthday. We enjoyed the backyard games and the creek. The s’mores left were a nice addition. We had an issue with the air conditioning and the upstairs tub but the property manager made it right. I liked having 3 beds in one room, so the kids could be together. Kids were scared of the animal heads upstairs over their beds but overall it was an enjoyable trip.

Good overall
Had an overall good experience. We travelled with 5 adults and 3 children, the property was set up more for less adults and more children with the available bed sizes. Overall everything worked out, easily a 4/5 star property

Absolutely perfect and peaceful
Great location, Very peaceful and relaxing! We enjoyed every minute of it. The property it self is beautiful. It was very clean. Lots of yard games and there’s a projector screen. (You gotta bring your own projector). I spoke to the property manger or owner and she was very polite and pleasant. Absolutely loved this property and we will be back. For reference 5 adults stayed comfortable. Only issue we had was getting lost and not having cell service but that had nothing to do with the host but I would screenshot the directions or look them up and print them out before you go. Not far from town about 15 minutes to Helen.

Excellent
It was a very pleasant and peaceful stay. The bed was very comfortable. Definitely recommend this place for a get away. Lots of outdoor things to do. I would like to see a small desk for a workspace. I definitely give it 5+ star rating. The host was excellent as well.

The BEST place we have EVER stayed!
My family enjoyed an amazing week at this beautiful cabin!
The owner is wonderful! She went out of her way to accommodate our every need. She was highly attentive and super friendly.
The cabin was spectacular! Our typical vacations are spent running around town, trying to keep our family entertained. This place did that for us!
With dozens of board games and puzzles, tons of outdoor games, and an outside environment that lends to a relaxing time - we barely left the cabin!
Everything was sparkling clean and there were cleaning supplies handy in case we needed them to clean up our own messes. The bedding was CLEAN and smelled good.
I can’t think of anything negative to say.
I can’t wait to come back!!!

Cute
This house was super cute and extremely clean.
The backyard was like being at summer camp. Games, walking trails, a creek, a fire pit.. it was so much fun.
There was a house full of screaming kids next to us that kind of freaked us out, but it didn't dampen our stay.
The house is close to downtown Helen but far enough away to make you feel secluded.
If you are looking and this property is open, book it.

March Visit
We enjoyed the location and the spacious yard, just far enough away from town but not too far. The creek was great for the kids. As you enter the through the front door the stairs are right there, not a fan of that as they are close and very steep.

Such a relaxing trip!
This cabin in rustic and wonderful. So much to do, you won’t get bored. There is WiFi, but cell service is limited (which is absolutely awesome). Couldn’t have asked for an easier check in/check out. The property manager was easy to communicate with and so helpful. We hope to make another trip soon.

Great little cabin
This is a great cabin. The queen bed and full bed to sit on was hard. We was thinking on no sleeping is gonna be great(sarcastically) but in reality the beds slept amazing. So don't let it foul ya. Over all great place but it's not suitable for 6 adults. It suitable for 2 couples and young children

Bridal trip
We had a great time. The cabin was comfortable however we drove a long way and got there at dark. The place if VERY different to find at dark when you are not familiar with the area. Our maps also took us to the dirt road on the back of the property and we had absolutely no cell phone service to try to reroute us so it took us >30 min driving and turning around back and forth. It was pitch black and storming so our start to the cabin was not great. I think it would be very beneficial for the property to have some light or some reflective lights at the end of the road and the entrance of the driveway since it is also a good ways down a dirt/gravel road it is soo difficult to see and roads are not convenient for turning around especially at dark and in the rain.

Cozy Cabin
We had the best time at this beautiful rustic cabin. Everything was as expected and clean. Only issues was last day the lights dimmed in the bedroom and dininh room and wouldn't undim. Other than that we will def be back!!!

Peaceful Reprieve
This property was beautiful, set out among the trees on a lovely piece of property. We went looking for a place to spend time as a family and this was perfect. The porch was huge and a great outdoor living space. We did not use the hot tub but it seemed in great shape. We did not use the fireplace but the people before us must have because it smelled like wood fire. We were able to cook modest meals in the kitchen for breakfast and lunch. The nearby country store had all the amenities needed for a simple Thanksgiving meal. The 4-stars on “as advertised” is only because the four single beds are best for kids or small adults. We had 4 adults sleep wonderfully well in the king and queen beds but my 6’1” 14 year old son ended up sleeping on the couch because the singles were too small for him. The top bunk was difficult to get in to for anyone other than a child. If you know this ahead of time, you can plan accordingly. We would stay here all over again, though. I want to emphasize that and thank Donnie and Cyndi for their quick responses to our questions. They were fantastic!

Perfect Getaway for Fall
We were not disappointed! The cabin was clean, and had some great features. Porches were amazing, It was a quick and easy drive to Helen, Georgia which was our destination for all things Christmas. Coming back at night to the cabin and enjoying the fireplace was a great way to end the day. Would definitely book it again!

Fall trip with siblings and spouses
Our visit at Prospecters Creek was fantastic. The warmth and decor of the home was beyond our expectations. We really enjoyed the wrap around porch, the walk around the Creek, the swings but mostly just the lovely personal touch of the decorations and style of the home. We grilled steaks on the grill and had the best time being together as a family of senior citizens. Thank you to our host, Cyndi who was so helpful to meet our needs.

This place was awesome!!! This cozy cabin was clean and had tons of outside games for the kids. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do ~ lots of trails and wineries within 30-40 minutes.
