Aconchegante e perto dos Resorts de Ski. Anfitriões são excelentes. Prontos parar te atender.
Só o banheiro um pouco apertado. Normal para o Japão.

Overall this is a nice place if you want to ski/snowboard at the nearest resorts.
The hotel location is nice, 15 minutes by walk to the ski resort or by bus shuttle (the stop is just near the hotel). There is a room for skiing/snowboards and for drying clothes (and there is a small clothes dryer in the room too). Breakfast is tasty, and coffee/tea is available for 24 hours in the kitchen area. Friendly and nice staff, when checking out - they suggest a free car transfer to the nearest but stop (very useful if you have luggage). Free Wi-Fi is available. Also, there is a smoking area on the terrace.
The sound isolation is not so good, you can hear people from other rooms. Hot water is not always available (in our case - not an issue, 10 am - 3 pm time when no hot water and we were absent at this time). Overall room is clean, but you can notice small spots somewhere, and there is mold at the window.

The place is very clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely kind and helpful during our stay. Great breakfast too!
A bit walk to the restaurant in snowy days, but there are a few good ones within walking distance.

loved our stay. Wei was the best host we had in Japan. clean and comfortable facility’s. if I am back in Hakuba will definitely be staying here again.
Only downside was there was no communal kitchen for us to use.

The location of Snow Elephant is excellent with a bus stop right at the door and you can ski back down through the forest track. Wei Wei tried very hard and was exceptional, however that is where the exceptional service ended. The lounge are is lovely to relax in and I made sure we washed up the stuff we used and turned everything off nights we used it. We have stayed at this pension numerous times over the past 12 years, but that was our one and only time with the new owners.
Sorry Wei Wei you were great but the rest of your team let you down.
Terrible lack of service, and felt like we were in the way of people getting out and going skiing themselves during our 10 day stay. Breakfast started well the first morning, was hot, but went down hill after that. We had arranged no cooked breakfast one morning to make it easier for them as they (Wei Wei) was dropping us off at Goryu at 8am, which was greatly appreciated. The next day no cooked breakfast and when I asked and explained that it was only for the day before, we got 7 eggs on one plate brought out and they left and went out skiing. No one around at all when we got back in the afternoons. So no service at all, not even for milk for the complimentary tea and coffee in communal lounge. Was told by Wei Wei on the first afternoon, when he got in from work, to just make ourselves at home and go and get it from kitchen - which we did every afternoon for 9 days. Had to ask for hot water to be turned on at 5pm when they got back from skiing (no hot water between 10-3 everyday). Requested new towels on day 5 after having left our 'please clean our room' sign out for 2 days, which never got cleaned, regardless of sign being on door knob. Took our bin down to be emptied and never got it back. Wet towels left in foyer all day as the owner went out skiing everyday with friend as soon as breakfast cooked, often when went to get the milk out of fridge in kitchen in the afternoons, the dishes from breakfast were still sitting there dirty.
I could understand if they were full and busy but for the majority of our 10 day stay we were the only ones there. I saw the entry area and communal lounge vacuumed and wiped down once, when they were expecting some new guests that night, who they appeared to know. We felt we were an inconvenience being there, even though paying customers.

Breakfast is incredible, owners are great hosts, very helpful and kind, lodge is perfect for a snow holiday.
Nothing, excellent lodge.

Facilities are correct, the staff came to pick up us and brought us to the ski lift in the morning and to the bus station if we asked kindly.
The location is really bad (20min walk upwards to the ski lift) if you don't have a car because you are far from everything. The hotel should provide shuttle at regular times. Instead we had to ask and comply with the owner constraints. We had to pay $40 for a lift from the hotel to Hakuba central. We had to pay for the coffee. The breakfast was not really good and they tried to provide a served breakfast but I think it would be better just to provide some toasts and jam.

Host is very friendly and helpful. They pick us and sent us to and from the JR station. Dinner can be arrange upon request with a reasonable amount. Breakfast served with hot porridge and burger. Free flow of hot drinking water is a plus!

Nice breakfast, room is clean and comfortable, dry room also available which is good for us, owner is friendly and very helpful. I would like to vusit again
We went in snow day, the road is pretty icy, if you go by car during winter you may need snow tire or put the chain on.

The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I hurt myself, and they found a good clinic + brought me there & back.
The room was quite large and the heater was very effective!
The common area is great - spacious and a large TV.
Nothing, maybe just need a humidifier in the bedrooms as the air is so dry.

I loved my stay here. The owner was so helpful and friendly, he gave us a lift when we needed one and walked us to show us where the bus stop was. He also showed us how to ski all the way down to the hotel which was great fun through the forest!
