About this apartment rental
This first floor two-bed two bath condo in building 5 is conveniently located with easy access to the slopes and the new club house. This unit has free WI-FI and a 55" TV with sound bar in the living room, along with an extremely comfortable leather queen Tempur-pedic sleeper sofa, and two nice leather recliners. The dining area has a rustic mountain feel with an antler chandelier and a beautiful tree slab table. The kitchen is fully equipped with many accessories for the chef in you. Like the sleeper sofa, both master and guest bedrooms are equipped with Tempur-pedic mattresses providing the best comfort money can buy. The master is a king size bed with the guest being a queen. After a good night’s sleep you can enjoy your coffee from a private balcony with stadium style adirondack table and chairs to enjoy a mountain view along with a partial view of Oma's Meadow. The clubhouse is now available with an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, & fitness room. The property also has tennis courts and outdoor grilling areas. Come relax in the mountains! Please note that the bathrooms in this unit do have a slightly higher tub and are not equipped with hand rails.**No wood burning fire place**

We really enjoyed this unit and how easy it was to get on the slopes. The view from the porch was great for those that don't enjoy skiing, and it came fully equipped with everything you would need to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This condo is the best bang for your buck, will definitely be staying here again.

If you are a skiier, you cannot beat this location. Ski lift right outside your back door. Interior of condo is old and needs updating. But you will not spend a lot of time indoors here.

Unit 512 was perfect for ski in/out. Ground level with short walk around the building to Omar’s meadow. The condo was clean and the staff was overly accommodating to our needs. The kids loved running up to the pool to swim after a long day of skiing. The city shuttle service was convenient. Not enough hot water for showers but we loved having a washer and dryer in the room. The kitchen had all the utensils and amenities needed. Loved the fold out couch to add more sleeping space for kids. Overall would highly recommend this unit and will be coming back again next year!

I will say that the pre-checkin communication was a turnoff. Rather than sending multiple long emails requiring deposits and signatures with all caps and long walls of text, I recommend the community as a whole start from scratch with a modern checkin process that handles this by default so you don't get hit with urgent action items that should have happened when I booked it. Modernize!
Also, Oma's meadow wasn't open. So this wasn't truly ski in, ski out for our trip. Blame it on nature and not enough snow.

The condo was lovely—updated decor in the living room and bedrooms—very comfortable beds, nice view. The bedrooms need more storage for personal belongings since the closets are full of other things and there is no dresser in one of the bedrooms and no space to put luggage, except the living room. The ski closet in the hall was not accessible, so we had to leave our equipment in the car. The management at the complex is very attentive, check-in process easy, clubhouse nice. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna immensely after skiing. This is a nice perk. The overall experience for using the mountain was not enjoyable in many respects. We wish that Sugar was able to support this complex more in the close proximity of the slopes surrounding these condos. We have stayed twice in this complex, both times NOT having a ski/in ski/out experience. Both times, we had to hike in the mud and on rocks to get to the slopes quite a ways. I’m told that Sugar routinely does not make snow on the majority of the slopes surrounding this complex until there is natural snow as a base to add moisture. So, anyone renting in advance can never actually rely on a ski/in ski/out experience in ANY of these condos at this complex. It would seem that they should not advertise it in this way, since the possibility is rare, or short-lived at best during the season, that there would actually be a ski/in ski/out experience. Sugar also is very restrictive with ticket purchases. There is no online option for purchasing, so you can only purchase for the next day after 8pm at night if you don’t want to drive down in the morning and drive back up to your complex—IF you are trying to ski from the condos. There is also no option to purchase an afternoon ticket until 30 minutes prior, also causing your to drive down and back up, which makes me question why I’d stay here again. Maybe last minute is the only way to book here to see what’s open and where. Thatȁ

Very nice view of Oma's meadow. Easy access to unit with ample parking. All beds including fold-out couch were very comfortable! Bathrooms are older but all functional. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, tableware, and pots/pans. Wood fireplace worked great. Drinking water is excellent. The newly renovated clubhouse/pool/hot tub are wonderful. Front desk personnel are friendly, courteous, responsive, and helpful. Grounds are well maintained and safe for daily walks. We've stayed @ Sugar Ski before and will stay again.

Location for ski was great if you are in good shape you could just jump over porch rail and hit the slopes. Room was very comfortable and so much nice decor. I am not too scared of covid myself but if you are? On the surface the room seemed very clean but the microwave had exploded food all over the inside indicating to me it was not wiped at all. Also your instructions upon departure tell you not to place comforters with the laundry ? I guess they do not get washed either and I know my husband and I both had the comforter very close to our nose and mouths during our sleep ( we did not wear masks while sleeping ) Just saying. be careful !

Our stay was so comfortable and relaxing. All the utensils and kitchen supplies we needed were right there on hand. The living area was cozy and comfortable. The beds were soft and warm. We have no complaints other than we happened to be there during a winter storm, and we did not see the info about chains or snow tires until AFTER our arrival. We had an incident with getting our car up the icy road that made check out challenging, but the staff was very understanding and allowed us the extra time we needed to get out of the condo. We were very grateful.

Been awhile since we had come up. Wife saw weather was going to be great and planned last minute trip. Always go (been here many times) where it has been good, and this time was the same( all good ). Great trip when older skiers come back with good knees and 5 year old Grandson learns how to ski the mountain.

We come to sugar mountain every year and love skiing here and being so close to the slopes is the best part! Everything you need is at the bottom of the mountain and the condos here are always clean and fun with a real fireplace and fully stocked kitchen to cook on our own whenever we want!

We enjoyed our stay at unit 512. In fact, we rented two units (512 & 513) and came back to unit 512 after 4 weeks (nothing wrong with 513, we were a smaller group the second time). Both units were very clean and neat. Size was just right for us. Having washer/dryer inside the unit was a big plus.

We love staying at Sugar ski & CC. We just went a second time last month. Great location. Love having access to the pool and sauna. And, of course, the best part is being able to ski right out your back door. So cool. I have a couple of requests regarding the condo we stayed in this year. There were no coffee filters and there wasn't a large enough pot for us to cook a batch of pasta. This made it a little difficult to make spaghetti dinner for our big family. Also, and probably more importantly, it is time to replace the sleeper couch if you are going to advertise this unit as one that can sleep 6. The pull out bed has a bar running through the middle of the too-thin mattress that even my 9 year old couldn't deal with. Its "too worn out and springy" says my nine year old. The older boys couldn't sleep on it either so they just slept on the couch. Otherwise, there were plenty of blankets and pillows and we love the location and the convenience. Thank you.
