Simple cottage on a great spot. Lots to do in Minden and Haliburton. Bring a floatie and jump in at the River Walk in the Minden, then step off at your dock!

Pictures of the property are outdated. Not worth the money

Wonderful stay, communication was great and quick. We were really able to relax and enjoy our family time. Great trails and friendly people. We will be back again 😀

Overall the property was nice, the floors were a little damaged and the entrance to the bathroom is raised without caution. Also, the neighbours to our right stole our $200 speaker and when asked polietly about it, they lied about it and refused to help. Other than that, the place was very well located, taken care of and an amazing experience.

The pictures online arent what the cottage looks like. The floor is all ripped apart and lifted. I actually cut my foot it was so bad. There are electricial wires exposed at the kitchen which is not great. Fridge looks like a rust bucket. When we walked in, it smelled like someone spayed 100 bottles of cleaner. We had to open the windows to let the smell out.

Good communication from the home owner.
Our overall impression of this property was spoiled by the neighbours in the cottage next door and their four large unleashed dogs and their pet pig who were constantly on our property. The neighbours and their friends were constantly walking across our property to visit the cottage on the other side of the VRBO.
Unfortunately one of their dogs was on our VRBO property and chased my little chihuahua and bit him on his side. He has a puncture wound.
The listing didn’t reflect the condition of the property. The pictures were old.
We were disappointed with this property. Water issues were ongoing and a plumber visited twice to resolve it. These issues were all part of regular property maintenance.

Great cottagey vibes, right on the water is awesome. Wish it came with water toys but had fun either way.

wasn't ready to be rented in winter. Cold water lines froze twice. Propane furnace quit for one entire weekend. Floor cold throughout most of the cottage. Owner thought there were baseboard heater in bedrooms, NO. Otherwise, ok for most snowmobilers since time in cottage reduced by ride time. Can be fixed to improve future experiences.

We have rented through Virbo before and both were good experiences.

Check in was very easy. Lots of room , beautiful property and town. The gull river is amazing and the whole family had so much fun here. We had a few little hiccups, propane, changing water filter but the owner Kirill was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had.

This cottage is a great option for families with kids. Cottage is roomy and there is a good amount of outdoor space to enjoy for playing, lying in the sun, or evening camp fires. This is not a high end cottage and has some quirks that we discovered but didn’t ruin our enjoyment of getting away from the city. Kirill was good at responding to my various questions which was very helpful.

The cottage is really well situated on the gull river, with a deck and a small beach area that allows to go swimming. Inside the cottage, the open space kitchen and dining room area is very pleasant. The three main bedrooms are functional (the 4th is in an outhouse). There is only one bathroom, and the shower is a bit small. Everything worked ok, although some aspects of the cottage seemed unfinished (unpainted from door, unfinished light switch, plain garden). Overall we had a very pleasant stay!

You will really enjoy the small sandy beach. You can put your chair in the water sit back and relax.
This place has a large grass area for kids to run around or play some lawn games. Theres a massive fire pit also we loved sitting back watching the shooting stars.
This cottage has everything you need it was a very hot week thankfully they provided 2 stand up fans to circulate the air during the hot days.
All you need to bring is your personal items the kitchen is fully stocked.
We enjoyed spending the day by the water we brought a few tubes and floaties, tied them to the dock as there is a current.
The neighbors are very nice and friendly, they have friendly dogs and a pig.
Unfortunately we were not so lucky at fishing but we did hear there are lots of fish in the river.
We will definitely go back next summer.

This is the perfect cottage if you need to get away for a bit! You feel very secluded while at the same time being so close to town in case you need anything. We loved how cozy you felt being there, especially with the indoor fireplace going. Our stay was everything we wanted it to be and Kirill couldn’t have been a better host! He was so kind and communicative and made sure we had a comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be returning the next chance we have!

The cottage was nice and clean it was everything we expected only problem we had was with the heating during the first night but the owner responded to our message almost immediately and remedied the situation. Overall a great place to stay and a nice experience although the neighbours were a little intrusive.
