The home was clear and comfortable. Location was great for many day trips. Would return again to vaction.

This property was convenient for our purposes. We had some difficulty finding and turning on lights inside and the living room lights did not give us enough light to read. Many bulbs were burned out both on the porch string and in the kitchen. We like old houses, but for safety we felt the loose newel post on the stairway could be tightened and a grab bar in the bath/shower could be added.
The amenities provided were great in the kitchen and bath, except for a the lack of some type of a bath/shower soap.

Family reuoon after 26 years apart
Everyone had a great time. Could have used extra towels being 6 of us a couple nights but we managed. Nice to have had local snacks and drinks waiting

Second time staying here. No issues. Great stay.

Very pleased, However , I feel I should mention that this is an older house, so not all rooms have wall light switches. However, there are plenty of fixtures & lamps for lighting .
Loved the back yard has a privacy fence, relaxing atmosphere with wind chimes.
The home was clean and had artsy decor . I was a bit challenged with figuring out programs for the TV ,but hubby figured it out no cable, but plenty of programs to choose from such as netflix, hulu, amazon prime, disneyplus. would stay again .

The property is within walking distance to the center of town, restaurants and shops. The house is spacious and colorfully decorated. The owner was accessible by phone, very personable and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at Mikey's place, even though the place could use a good deep clean and some long term maintenance. The house is beautifully decorated and Mikey was a generous host both in his response times and little welcome items he provided. Our main issue was with the cleanliness of the property, though not in the main areas (bathrooms, kitchen sink, tables). All the 'secondary'/ background surfaces (ie the many framed images and elaborate moldings) were covered in a thick layer of dust, all the fabric floor coverings (rugs, mats) were a shade of beige, and every utensil and cooking vessel in the kitchen needed to be cleaned before use. Another area of improvement would be with the curtains in the office/ orange bedroom: this is the room with the most windows, one of which faces directly east, and yet its only window covering are sheers. Our 2 kids who slept in there were up at sunrise every morning! All in all, this is quirky old house that provides a lot of space for a traveling family and we were not unhappy with our stay. With some tweaks and a working ice maker/ provided bag of ice, I'd bring my family here again.

Comfortable and attractive furnishings. Pretty, updated vintage home with original features. Well appointed kitchen with pots, serving ware, dishes and flatware. 1/2 bath downstairs is actually a toilet in a small closet w/o a sink, connected to the kitchen. Authentic for a house of it's vintage but not comfortable for an adult. Full bath upstairs is large and well stocked with supplies. The blind in the primary bedroom doesn't cover the window. We needed to use a towel to make up for it. The other rooms had curtains instead of blinds. Useless when there is an air conditioner in the window. Inconvenient for privacy and being able to sleep after sunrise.

Enjoyable stay. Very steep stairs for an older couple and the bath/shower was very slippery. TV was difficult to use. But we were very comfortable and slept well. Grateful for the air conditioning upstairs as it was a hot week . We did feel safe here. Thanks Mikey!

We had a nice time. Older home is well maintained with lots of charm. Easy to find with the cute porch lights. House was just as portrayed online. Home owner was very receptive and answered a few questions quickly.

We loved our stay in Norwich which allowed us to see local family during the holidays. We arrived the week before Christmas to find that the place was well shoveled following a storm and also had holiday greenery, a wreath and lights on the front porch which was so festive. We had everything we needed (and more!) to make festive meals and there were welcoming touches everywhere including bottled water, some local drinks, and extra linens. Easy walk to Walgreens or Dollar General plus nice café Bohemian Moon.

This was an amazing and beautiful house that met all expectations. The house was immaculate and full of amenities/extras. Full bathroom is very nice, but the half bathroom is extremely small. It was technically difficult to use some of the features - the lights took a few minutes to figure out, the ice dispenser seemed to be locked and would not turn on, the thermostat also appeared to be locked on heat. I never met our host, but he left soda/beer/yogurt for our enjoyment. Despite any small hiccups, this house was fantastic and I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Interesting old house
Casa Roja was as advertised…a beautiful old home, and lots of “extras” throughout to make guests fee at home. We did have a situation with a bat in the house…the owner sent a friend to help us right away. We chose to leave after that, but Mikey was very apologetic and understanding.

Red, quite and relaxing.
Simple check in. Never met the host. Great sleeping options. Smallest water closet ever. Intial impression of location was poor but overall, people in area seem friendly and nice as ofyen found in most small towns.

Loved the character of the house, the lovely, dog friendly back yard, and all the amenities thoughtfully stocked for travelers. I couldn't figure out how to turn the TV on.... but I had a good book and was quite content. Would highly recommend the Casa Roja.

Lovely home with many personal touches
This is a lovely, fun and comfortable home. My extended family (3 generations) enjoyed our stay here while we were visiting family in Bainbridge. The personal touches were quite special and we’ll stay here again when in the area.

wasn't what we reserved
we were a little concerned to find there was camera's in a bedroom and possible more. the house had electrical cords plugged in everywhere and we were worried it might cause a fire. the house was clean and fully stocked, so i don't want to say too many bad things about it. the manager was really trying to take care of us after the first house was double booked
