About this apartment rental
Summary:
Positioned in a lush residential setting in the heart of the Playa Flamingo area, Omega 3 is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath condo with a swimming pool overlooking Potrero Bay. Its standout feature is an ocean-view terrace, which offers a panoramic view of the rolling green hills that surround the water.
The Space:
Few 2-bedroom condo rentals in Flamingo offer the same level of comfort and convenience as Omega 3. Secluded from the bars and the party scene, yet right next to the excellent Super Massai grocery store, this condo is perfect for those who love beach towns but also like a quiet respite at the end of the day.
**The property generally does not allow animals or pets, this includes service and emotional support animals. For detailed information, please refer to the booking policy and/or house rules.**
Features of Omega 3, Flamingo
Reminiscent of clear skies and turquoise waters, Omega 3 pairs soft blues with brighter blue-green shades throughout its two bedrooms. Complemented by sandy hues and offset by a few splashes of orange and yellow, the tropical-fresh decor seems to blend right into the view outside overlooking Potrero Bay.
The entire layout of the condo is directed toward the ocean view. The open-concept kitchen, dining room and living room all look out toward the bay through a large sliding-glass door. Meanwhile, both bedrooms enjoy abundant natural light thanks to their ocean-view windows.
Other notable features include:
• Large-screen TV
• Dining table for four
• Fully equipped kitchen with new appliances
• Spacious double-vanity bathroom
• Air conditioning
There are a handful of restaurants within walking distance — pizza, international cuisine and even sushi — and you’re a short drive away from the multiple dining, shopping and nightlife attractions of Brasilito, Flamingo, Surfside, Potrero and Las Catalinas. Or drive a bit further to the two biggest tourism meccas on the Gold Coast, Tamarindo and Playas del Coco. The Flamingo coast is an adventure capital that offers all the attractions for which Costa Rica is famous. You can go deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, sailing or snorkeling just off the coast, and take your picture of adventures inland: ziplining, horseback riding, ATV rentals, mountain biking, a volcano visit, hot springs, mud baths and whitewater rafting.
Adventure awaits
Your rental will be stocked with a welcome basket of coffee, coffee filters, salt, pepper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, cooking oil and Costa Rica’s famous Salsa Lizano. We’re always ready to help you book any adventure, including scuba diving, fishing, ocean cruises, horseback riding and ATV tours. Day trips to Rincón de la Vieja National Park, whitewater rafting or local cultural tours – we’re here to offer you unbeatable service! For more info about tours and activities, check out the following link.
We’ll be happy to provide free, competitive quotes for private rental cars, transport to/from the Liberia or San Jose airports, chef services, tours and activities. We are locals and can answer any questions you may have regarding this property and the surrounding area. We are here to make your next Costa Rican getaway unforgettable.
Pet-friendly policy

The Neighborhood:
Altos de Flamingo is a gated community in the heart of Flamingo. Upper units offer spectacular views of Potrero Bay and the green hillsides all around. It’s located right next to the excellent Super Massai grocery store, a string of restaurants, hardware stores, banks, a medical clinic and other conveniences.
You can walk four blocks to the beach, and from here it’s a short drive to the new Marina Flamingo, or to the nearby towns and beaches of Surfside, Potrero, Las Catalinas, Brasilito, Conchal and Grande. Altos de Flamingo provides a convenient and central location to explore all of Guanacaste’s resplendent Gold Coast.
Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo.
Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences.
A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz.
Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.
Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store.
Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta.
Getting Around:
Our agents will be happy to assist you with renting a car, giving you the freedom to explore the area where you want, when you want. For short drives to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are another popular mode of transportation. You can also rent a bicycle to ride around in town or beyond.
We can arrange transfers to and from the airport. Rental cars can also be delivered to your property at no additional cost, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery as our private van drives you here from the airport.
Taxis are available but can be a bit hard to find. Many locals use buses to get around, though there are a limited number of routes and times of day when you can catch them. Private shuttles can be a great option for traveling to nearby destinations, and many tour companies offer transportation to and from the tour. Our information brochure will provide you with useful information on local transportation options and points of interest, as well as contact information for taxis and shuttles.
Other Things to Note:
Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent verification. Before your stay begins, you will need to verify your details with us to complete your booking. You will be contacted via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.
