A well maintained and beautifully restored heritage building.
I discovered that the suite I’d booked was at the top of two substantial flights of stairs and, being older, we would probably have difficulty with our cases. The manager relocated us to the only ground floor suite they have.

Centrally located. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Easy parking.

I loved the space of the apartment and the old world charm. It was warm and inviting and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, so comfortable.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there is a cafe down stairs and on our second morning the cafe decided to use a blower to remove the leaves at 7 am, I feel this was a bit rude when there are apartments upstairs.
5.0
Beautifully restored heritage building with high ceilings, spacious rooms and old world charm. Excellent location and easy walk to river, the port, restaurants and shops. Safe off-street parking.
4.5
Apartment was very spacious and quiet with a very comfortable bed. Cafe on ground floor of building was excellent for breakfast.
Toilet was intermittently running water & needs fixing ASAP. There is little space to hang clothes in the apartment for our 5 day stay.
4.5
Beautifully appointed property in excellent location.
Amazing high ceiling and historic details.
Great light and tasteful furnishings.
Not the best soundproofing between interconnecting rooms. Could hear the neighbours’ conversations and TV.
3.5
This is a beautiful building with large rooms with high ceilings and comfy beds. We had our own bathroom and TV and the decor was really beautiful. The owner was also quite responsive when we had questions. The bathroom is well-stocked with a hair dryer and shampoo and conditioner.
This is not the fault of the hotel, but it's situated right above a cafe that starts banging the coffee machine at around 6:30amish most mornings and continues until around 2pm. It's difficult to get any sort of sleep-in on days it's open. Also the place is marketed as a luxury hotel with the price to match, but it's actually just a regular hotel. There's no daily room service and there was no kitchenette in our room, and not many other facilities. We had to go to a shared kitchen downstairs to make breakfast or try and use the sink in our bathroom to make tea and coffee. The wi-fi there was very patchy as they just have one wi-fi signal downstairs that doesn't cover the whole building.

The space, historical ambience and location.
An outdoor recreation area would be good. There might have been one but that wasn’t clear.

Location
Very old and in need of refurbishment. Blinds do not block out light. Room not serviced every day.

Spezielle Ambience.

Large room and bathroom, comfortable bed, good position.
The aircon wasn’t very effective! I was too hot so didn’t sleep well.
4.5
Well appointed historic building, restored and renovated with very comfortable amenities. We had a very large room, with everything we needed. Key collection from the pub across the street, east and friendly staff. Great communication and very helpful ahead of our stay.
A lack of parking, perhaps due to other guests bringing extra vehicles. We ended up parking on the street, which wasn’t a big deal. Marked bays might be a better solution. We stayed on the ground floor near the front door, which was slammed quite loudly by just about everyone coming or going. New door furniture would fix the problem.

Breakfast and the coffee at the cafe out the front was first class.
No complaints. The cafe at the front opens at 6.30 and is noisy enough in getting ready to wake you up but that’s part of. The reward is the great staff, excellent breakfast menu and great coffee

We stayed in the Treasury suite for two nights over a weekend. Absolutely loved it! The accommodation is right in the centre of town, walking distance to major supermarkets (Aldi, Coles, and Woolies), restaurants, and the waterfront. The bed was comfy, and bathroom was very clean.
One thing we did not enjoy was the loud 'hammering' noises that start around 7 am - we eventually figures this was the cafe downstairs. Also note there is no elevator, only a staircase. Being a historical building, it is quite narrow.

location
a/c could have been a bit better

Fantastic location rooms very good and clean.
We had two rooms and one had very limited hot water we all had to have showers in the other room which was inconvenient.

How spacious and clean the room was and very central location.

Very comfortable accommodation (character building) and well presented. Comfortable beds, linen & pillows.
Excellent communication from Carmen, who was very helpful and went out of her way to assist us.
Good location with a great hotel across the road (1895 The Royal) - fun vibe, great food, wine, and staff.
Lighting outside could have been better positioned.
A mini bar would have been great.
Air-conditioning a little noisy, so did not leave on at night (turned off). However, it turned itself back on by itself and woke us up several times.

For the first ever the manager rang and advised the room was ready early and we were welcome to check in anytime.

convenient location
didn’t see any staff during our stay.
4.5
clean and tidy with a touch of the past
locks on door were hard work . tv in bedroom wasn’t set up well . needs 2 more chairs in room for other guests
2.5
There was no breakfast
Minimal communication.
Unfortunately, the check-in information was sent via text to the wrong number. When I checked the number on my app, it was correct, so not sure what went wrong but perhaps the information should have been messaged via the app or emailed also. There was nobody to ask and no way of getting into the building. Finally, someone rang me back and advised me to collect the key from across the road. TV remote was faulty, so kept changing channels and turning off even when it was not touched. Place was creepy and eerie- didn't see anybody.

I loved that the original features of the building were lovingly maintained whilst still ensuring guests had access to all the mod cons. Great location with amaze balls view. Comfy warm bedding. Nice clean bathroom with large shower.
I would have liked to seen a face to greet.
