The view is great during Christmas. uncle managing everything on his own.
the connectivity to the place is very poor with only one bus in early morning going to Bruges which is the only place where you have to go to any other location.

Friendly and energetic owner
Very loud rooms. You can hear everyone who is staying there walking about inside and talking.
Touristy town so also loud outside with the single pane glass
Incredibly warm rooms. Bathed in sweat
Sewer smell in the bathroom. backed up pipes somewhere maybe.
Free parking. but there are no reserved places for people who stay here. so if it is busy you are out of luck and have to move your car in the evening when the bar closes and spots free up.
Communication before the stay is automated. you are asked to call 30minutes before arrival so he can guide you to the parking spot. Doesn't pick up and if he does is to busy to help.

The room was spacious. It was quiet. Friendly staff.
Very luminous room. The bathroom was large.
The sheets of the bed were not comfy. There could have been a recipient holder in the shower. Breakfast was expensive for what it was.

Some warning for mosquitos would have been nice. 😉

the hotel is situated in a lovely town. It's very quiet and it was great that there was a parking. You can reach Bruges in less than 10 minutes and it's also possible to walk there - there is not really a possibility to get there by public transport though.
The room is spacious and so is the bathroom.
we were there in December and glad that it was not that cold. When we arrived, the room was warm but then it became cold. We mentioned it and the owner came to help us very quickly, then it was warm again but in the morning we were cold. The bathroom was also not really warm and the windows let in water, which was not great.

The village of Damme, near Bruges, was well dressed for the festive period and served by many restaurants. We recommend La Plancha!
The Gasthof was central and quirky. Robin was attentive and spoke some English. The bed was comfortable and the room warm.
The fabric of the Gasthof was a bit tired. The ensuite was basic and had a dripping tap, which Robin pointed out but which disturbed us during the night. The room lacked tea or coffee making facilities and glasses for taking a drink of tap water and a bedside lamp was missing a bulb!

Great situation, about 15/20 min cycle into Bruges. Good sized, clean room and large bed. Free car park at the back. Breakfast was good and the host was friendly and helpful. Definitely a good choice.
A minor detail, but the room could do with some new towels as they were a bit hard and rough.

The Damme church across the road is super amazing!Love the view. 15min drive to Bruges old town. Accommodation itself was big and clean, and we slept good. We dont have sleep problem and got so tired the day before so next to street was not a problem for us. We asked for breakfast and it's right enough for us so pretty good, paid in cash. btw They have parking lot behind building.

We set out to a summer holliday in Flanders and Netherlands and wanted to use different kind of accomodation, among this, a village guesthouse. This guest house really was a country side guest house. A well equiped pub/restaurant in the ground floor and a few rooms above. It matched all the expectation. It is located in the middle of the village within one minute from all you need as a tourist in Damme, and Damme with it surroundings has a lot to offer.
They do have a good parking lot.
Food/Drink: As Damme has a lot !!! to offer for food lovers, far more than it was possible to enjoy on a couple of days, we did not eat here, but the breakfast table looked good, and the other guests seemed to enjoy it. The pub has a wide sellection of Belgian beer, even some I have never heard about.
Nothing to do with the acommodation as such, but if you plan to use Damme as base to see Brügge, the bus connection isnt to good in the weekends, and the boat drops you off away from the classic city center.

Large clean room in the centre of the stunning Flemish village of Damme. It has a large car park at the rear of the property, which is very handy if you want to keep your vehicle hidden away. There are several restaurants within a few steps of the Guest House and the village itself is lovely.
Nothing comes to mind
