About this cabin rental
Cabin By The Falls (@cabinbythefalls) sits on 40 private acres adjacent to the National Forest with the Tye River flowing through the front yard. The cabin has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a PRIVATE heated (if requested) saltwater swimming pool, 3 Hi Def Smart TVs, cable, high speed internet, super comfortable beds (including 2 Tempurpedic Kings), big kitchen (suited for professional chef), dining and entertainment areas (inside and out). Also, this home is professionally furnished and decorated and fully stocked with items only a “super host” would provide. Please feel free to ask questions and make special requests. It is our aim to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Welcome to the Waterfall Cabin Estate!

The Cabin by the Falls was perfect for a long weekend get away for our family. The pool, hot tub and river on the grounds kept us happy and busy.

Quiet and picturesque.

Our family had a great visit to Cabin by the Falls. The home was spacious and comfortable with room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had everything we needed to prepare meals. The outdoor areas included an amazing salt water pool (which we paid to heat and would recommend) and wonderful places to sit and relax by the flowing river. There was also a very nice fire pit area. We have been home only a few days and are ready to go back.

Took my wife away for a weekend to relax and disconnect. This mountain home was perfect. Very clean and well decorated. It was nice relaxing in the hot tub enjoying the view of the stars and wine by the fireplace. It was a little too cold to relax by the river, but the views were amazing. We will definitely be back in the summer. We did not want to leave. Elliot was very responsive , accommodating and easy to reach.

Our family had a fantastic visit to the Waterfall Cabin!! The location is so magical, peaceful, and private! The sight and sound of the rushing water just outside the door does not disappoint. And the stars at night are just gorgeous with no city lights around - an especially lovely view from the hot tub. We arrived to find the river beautifully iced over, frozen icicles and interesting ice formations everywhere. As the weather warmed, we saw it melt a little each day. The cabin was very nice and very clean. Elliott was an awesome host, providing everything we needed with efficient and clear communication. The remoteness is wonderful - just makes sure to plan for it. There is a nearby mountain store, but quite a distance to any other grocery stores or restaurants. We brought a casserole and warmed it in the oven as we settled in for our first night there. We also explored Crabtree Falls and made a trip into Staunton for the day for shopping, restaurants, and a play at the American Shakespeare Theater, which we loved! Over all, a fantastic stay! We would love to go back to experience this property in every season!

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in the cabin. We loved the peace and quiet of the location and enjoyed several bike rides on a nearby gravel trail and hikes on the Appalachian Trail and Crabtree Falls. It was the perfect escape for a great family weekend.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving break at the Waterfall Cabin. The house is clean and cozy, and the outside area with the path along the river is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect place to hang out and reconnect with the family.

Our stay at Elliott’s cabin was amazing. The property is beautiful and the house was even better than we imagined! We opted to have the pool heated and it was absolutely worth it. Elliott was a great host - very responsive and accommodating. I definitely recommend booking!!

What a beautiful property and home! There is so much to do and explore on the property we didn’t have a dull moment. Even with a rainy weekend, we enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub! A+ property!

Wonderful and peaceful! Was very worth it to heat the pool. Beds were comfy and entire cabin was clean. Close to hiking and the blue ridge parkway far from grocery stores and restaurants!

The home and property were so beautiful and peaceful. It was the most restorative vacation I've had in a long time. Our highlights were the salt water pool - we did pay to have it heated and it was the right choice - and all of the chairs near the river making it easy to sit in or near.
For awareness, one of the bedrooms requires you to walk through it to get to another, and that walk through is required to get to the bathroom. It worked for us but might be awkward if you have 4 couples in the house. And for our older parents, it was a little tough that there were no handrails on the steps outside the house.
I did love the whole experience and would stay again if I had the chance. It was a very special experience.

I was looking for a weekend getaway to unwind, unplug and rejuvenate. This cabin was simply awesome, serene, blissful and more! Will rent this cabin again for a longer stay.
Also, the host was very kind, prompt, accommodating and provided clear instructions to access and use all amenities.

Awesome place to relax and rejuvenate
The cabin is beautiful and situated in a great location. The river, the hot tub and just being in the midst of nature, brings a lot of positive energy. The cabin has all the amenities one can think of. We had an AWESOME time. THANK YOU !!

Snowed in? Who cares!
Well we found the perfect place to get snowed in this week! Hit a couple days at Wintergreen and when the storm rolled in we just stayed out and enjoyed a great place to stay. The beds are all amazing for a great nights sleep. We hit the hot tub and loved it while it was snowing on us. Loved the sounds of the water when we stepped outside. All the amenities we needed and Elliot was great about talking through any concerns we might have had about the weather rolling in. The house has an automatic back up generator in case the power goes out. What’s not to like?!

The Crabtree Falls property was wonderful! What we all loved best about this property was the location right beside Crabtree Falls Creek. The cabin was completely insulated from the rest of the world. We loved hearing the creek running by with no other sounds of civilization. The hot tub was definitely a bonus! Although it was too cold for us to enjoy the pool, Our family talked about wanting to go back sometime during warmer weather when we could also enjoy the pool. The property owners were very easy to get in touch with, which really put us at ease. The one thing I would make sure people know, is if, you go during the winter months, be sure you have four-wheel-drive in case there is snow or ice on the driveway. The driveway is pretty steep and I can see how, if you are not prepared, you could have trouble. The only other thing that I would say could be improved upon, is to have specific places for people to put their clothing and belongings while they are staying at the cabin. Outside of that, it was truly fantastic!

Beautiful property on the Tye River, the house had everything we needed, wifi worked well, beds were comfy, hot tub was great. You are a five minute drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 30 minutes from Shenandoah NP.

This house is in a beautiful location - the river flowing right by the house plus the heated pool and hot tub and lots of outdoor spaces made for so many great memories. We also had a great time exploring the area, there are tons of breweries/wineries/cider houses with outdoor dining plus so many hikes and nature to see. Elliott was great to work with and we highly recommend this house and location!

Relaxation in idyllic location
Clean, well maintained, and well stocked cabin in Shenandoah. Great layout with primary bedroom upstairs and multiple bedrooms on the main level. We got the pool heated (for a fee) which was a must. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with staples, cookware, and other basic items. A short drive for hiking Crabtree Falls, but we spent most of our stay lounging at the pool and enjoying nature.

Trying to decide if I should tell you just how great this place is!!!!
House is absolutely amazing!! Something for everyone!! The pool is fantastic (definitely recommend getting it warmed). The deep end allows for jumping in (seems about 8 ft). Jacuzzi is splendid, jets, waterfall system, and lighting adds great touch! The stream allows for a quick hike or rock skipping!
Elliott had been fantastic! Easy to get in contact with, and gives great suggestions!
Only thing worth noting, the road getting to the house is very curvy, about 20 minutes of curves, if you have motion sickness easy, I would recommend you take your medicine!!
You don't want to miss out on this house!!! It's a dream!! Sleeping with the sound of the stream is so peaceful!!

Perfect getaway
This property was the perfect getaway for our family vacation. Elliott was a great host and was very responsive to any questions that we had. The inside of the house was exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The location and view cannot be beat! Everyday we spent time in the pool, walked by the river, and ate dinner on the deck. Thank you, Elliott, for your great communication, and of course, for sharing your beautiful home with us.
