We had such a brilliant stay at Petra Thea Villa. The owner came and met us on arrival to show us around and had even filled the fridge with food for our stay - it was really an exceptional holiday. The local tavernas were really excellent and the views were beautiful. Overall we loved our stay and hope to come back again.

The fridge was full of food. We did stay for 3 nights but still could not eat all of it.

Very warm welcome, helped push the bikes up the steep hill. The apartments are huge and comfortable for our group of 5 people. A real oasis for our bike trip

the accommodation was lovely and had a beautiful view.
It was only accessible by car and the road to the villa was dangerous to drive. you had to turn onto a pavement on a very very steep hill with narrow hair pin bends. It was scary to drive to.

The place has an incredible design, both classy antique as edgy modern.
Ramona waited for us and left everything prepared for our stay. Also she replied quickly to questions I had about the region.
Nothing really.

We felt very comfortable in the house, and were able to rest and relax after going rafting on Lousios river and hiking in the area. Enjoyed the fantastic views from the veranda, the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. Beds were very comfortable, the house was impeccable clean. Mosquito nets on windows meant we could also enjoy the cool mountain air, no need for A/C, although it was reassuring to have one for hotter days. Ramona was a great host.
Not a problem for us, but families with young kids need to pay attention to the terrace stairs and a couple of steps inside the house.

Nice location with great view. We had inside all that we needed - cleanest towels, ingridiants for nice breakfast, causy leaving room, nice table for eating outside with the great view. The children even enjoyed to find a small bowl of chocholates ... the women who got us was very pilite and gave us suggestions for all around. All in all, I would love to come again.

Excellent location (albeit with difficult final approach due to narrow road). Superb view and a very quiet spot. Our host (Veronica) was friendly and helpful. Plenty of food for breakfast.
The property is listed with two baths. However, the second bath does not have a shower. That creates traffic issues especially in the morning. Also, there is only one closet in the corridor, so clothes storage (especially for lengthy stays) can be a problem

Beautiful, cozy, well-equipped mountain villa perfect for a family. Our family of 2 adults and 3 children were very comfortable in this home. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped with lots of food provided by our very friendly, accessible host. Pantry and fridge had coffees, teas, cereal, bread, eggs, yogurt, jam, butter, milk, honey, nuts, cookies, crackers, ham and cheese, and a bottle of local wine. The view from the patio is gorgeous! The owner obviously takes great care of and pride in this home. There were 2 queen beds, a queen size sofa bed in the living room, and a twin size sofa bed in one of the bedrooms and plenty of extra bedding. There is one bathroom with shower and one without. Perfect location for nearby rafting and hiking.
The only downside is the very, very steep driveway. The owner kindly met us at a gas station nearby and showed us the way.

This is an incredibly beautiful house! Every detail, every little thing, attention to detail. We came with three children and felt very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, the rooms were very clean, there were even toys for children and felt-tip pens with pencils (which was very important for us). This house is real comfort and beauty!

Very comfortable and Ramona a great help. Full fridge for breakfast and a nice walk up to town to some incredibly good restaurants.
Car access very steep for our very large people carrier. Opted to park 30 metres away which was much easier.

Lovely villa, very clean and well equipped
We stayed at Petra Thea Villa in Karitainia for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners met us in the village to guide us to the villa and were super helpful and friendly. Our comfort was their prime concern so they had left us with masses of food for breakfast for 5 days and also kindly left us a bottle of wine and some little gifts of locally made products. The villa was very clean and equipped with everything you could need. The views from the balcony were spectacular and it was so quiet and peaceful which made it very relaxing. There was plenty of room to eat out on the balcony and to stretch out on the loungers in the sunny garden area. The village of Karitainia has a lot of character and is only a short 5 min walk away. There is a choice of tavernas and cafes to visit should you prefer to eat out. We particularly liked the restaurant in the courtyard of the church as you enter the village on the right-hand side and also do visit the family run café on the right as you go up the hill in the centre of the village, Vicki the hostess there is so friendly and cheerful and makes a great cappuccino! We would highly recommend a stay at Petra Thea and would have no hesitation in going back should we be lucky enough to visit Greece again.
