About this house rental
Property Overview: This 200+ year-old home was built in 1808 and is just a few miles from Oatlands Historic House and Gardens. This home can comfortably fit up to four adults. The main, tan coloredm house is where you would stay and is a fully updated federal home, lovingly restored with thoughtful attention to detail. The kitchen has marble counters, stainless steel appliances, gas range, double oven, a Keurig with a variety of coffee pods, spices to use, air fryer, and a deep farmhouse sink. There is also both antique and/ or modern china to choose from as well.
This location is in the heart of Loudoun County's Civil War history sites as well as many wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries. Downtown Leesburg is 7 miles away, Middleburg is 11 miles away, and Aldie is 5 miles away. Dulles International Airport is approximately 20 miles from this home. Oatlands Historic Home and Garden is right around the corner, Morven Park is 10 miles away, and Salamander Resort and Spa is less than a 20 minute drive.
This home has its original oak hardwood floors throughout, built-in bookshelves, Dish satellite cable for the television in the main living space and master bedroom with a king sized bed, board games and other activities, and much more! The main level bedroom has a full bath with a washer/dryer. The upstairs loft can be used as a second, private bedroom, with two queen sized beds, desk, and sitting area.
There is also a 2nd dwelling (the brick structure behind the main home) that is currently vacant and being restored. This was the blacksmith's home of Oatlands but at this time, is not being rented. You will see building materials and a storage unit on-site for this 2nd home but it will be out of view of most of the windows of the home you would stay in.
Due to upcoming renovation projects on this 2nd dwelling, there is a 10-night maximum stay allowed (no exceptions).

Neat little home built in the 1800’s. Home was neat and clean with everything we needed for our stay in the Leesburg area. A bit out of town, but it was only 15 minutes from our daughter’s house.

This was our second time staying at the property and just like the first visit, it was great! The owner is so helpful and responsive to anything you may need. As we are familiar with the area, we prefer this location and would recommend it to others while traveling in the area. House has everything you may need as it is fully stocked. Can't say enough good things.

We came as a get away after Thanksgiving with our 2 kids- 23,26. The place was as cozy as it gets- had everything you could need and then some! Too cold for an outdoor fire but that area is perfect too for gathering and making memories.

What a beautiful historic property. The whole area is just incredible. The house had everything one could need and a many very appreciated extra touches (water system, good coffee and tea, local honey, really nice bathroom products). We loved it here and would absolutely stay again.

Definitely one of the nicest properties we’ve enjoyed! Jeremy has thought of everything right down to tools for roasting marshmallows! Home was spotless, comfy, extremely well appointed & the perfect location to get to wineries. Already planning our next trip to this charming spot!

Oh my gosh! We were so thrilled with this home! It’s the perfect location, right off 15, literally! It’s warm and inviting, with a wonderfully stocked coffee bar, and all the kitchen utensils you could need. The bathroom has tons of little touches too, from floss, to towels and organic soaps and shampoos and such. The beds were super comfy, and really warm, which was nice on these fall evenings. Jeremy was very quick to respond to emails and very kind. I would definitely stay here again with friends and family on our next long weekend trip! L

This property has historic charm in spades, and yet has all the modern comforts and conveniences. Probably most importantly, the house was uber clean and well-appointed with comfy beds, bath and linens aplenty. Our host (Jeremy) was attentive and promptly answered all questions ahead of arrival. Even the outdoor areas are clean - and peacefully quiet in the evenings. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend!

Lovely home that is perfectly located for going wine tasting in the Middleburg area. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hosts provided a number of little touches to make the stay great (e.g., snacks, s'mores materials, makeup remover).

We love this home! Jeremy is a wonderful host and this gem of a house is so lovely that we returned for a second time. As a couple of mom friends doing an annual reunion, it’s the perfect spot - clean home with everything you need, close to wineries, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, such a cozy place, and now even with a lovely side patio and fire pit - it’s perfect. We so enjoyed our second time here, felt like coming back home. Can’t say enough about Jeremy - he was super responsive, check in was seamless, everything was in perfect condition and he even left a lovely fruit tart dessert for us in the fridge. Such a nice touch. We can’t wait to return again, thank you so much for everything, Jeremy!

Great Vrbo probably one of most well stocked places we’ve ever stayed, you will want for nothing!! You feel like a welcomed personal house guest coming to a friends ❤️ the owner has excellent communication and was super friendly and accommodating. Only issue was no hot water but he did all he could to try an fix the issue and then volunteered to compensate us for the inconvenience. Great experience highly recommend this little gem!!!

This property had everything needed for a wonderful stay - and then some! The decor is well thought out and has much attention to detail.
The home is close to many wonderful wineries and breweries - and to wonderful attractions - even a very nice petting zoo where you can ride a camel!
It was very interesting to learn the history of the home and the surrounding area. Most places that we visited would ask where we were staying. They were all very familiar with the house and would add a bit of history regarding the home and the mill.

The house has everything you need and much more. Beds were comfortable, spacious for three ladies to get ready with one bathroom. We had a nice fire outside with perfect weather. Will stay again. Thanks for the amazing history provided about the house…local honey for sale was a nice touch.

This property has historical charm, plenty of space for the whole family and the hosts have thought of everything. We rented the property to be near our friends wedding whom I baked the wedding cake for. Although you can easily cook and bake in the kitchen, I did not. I was able to assemble and keep the cake and all other desserts cold and stable along with family breakfasts, dinner and beverages without any trouble.
Proximity to wineries, Ashburn, Leesburg, Middleburg and other attractions with a quiet charm made this place a perfect site for us all.
Enjoy your stay— we will definitely return!

It’s well appointed and feels very homey. Very clean. My only negative would be that the hot water did not get very hot.

The Farm House furnishings are perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of linens. Jeremy and Alison have provided a lot of amenities which I have not seen in many places previously. The location was ideal for the Main purpose of our visit and we were able to add extra activities despite the rain. I would highly recommend this location and I will return in the spring.

There are not enough stars to rate how wonderful this property is. From the moment I stepped through the door, it felt like home. Everything you could possibly need has been provided for you during your stay, and Jeremy couldn't have been any easier to communicate with. The surrounding area and history of the house makes this property even more special. The coziness and comfort level in the house are second to none. I cannot wait to return to the area and stay again!

Such a quaint cottage that still felt like home. Owners did a beautiful job decorating with a warm and cozy farm atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay and would highly recommend this cottage. We happened to meet the owner and he was so welcoming and easy to talk to. 5 stars across board both with the cottage itself and a genuinely kind owner.

Fell in love with this adorably furnished and outfitted house! Stayed with a 4 year-old and an adult friend and had plenty of room to spread out. Loft area bedroom is roomy, and the bathroom just right-sized to share. The kitchen was probably one of the best appointed kitchens of any guest house I’ve enjoyed, and the area pamphlets and local info gave us plenty of ideas of how to fill our time in the charming area. Wi-Fi and TVs were easy, and air con/fans abundant. Host communication was clear, welcoming, and they had anticipated everything (from olive oil to sugar) anyway. Wonderful wonderful stay, hope to return soon! Thank you, Jeremy!

We love historic sites and homes, and this one did not disappoint! The attention to detail and upgrades while retaining the historic home charm was perfect! The history of the property and the history of the area was an added bonus! This house had everything we could ever need and then some and Jeremy was prompt to respond to my pre-travel questions! We'll be back!

Comfy, Cozy, great place to end our busy days, we were in town for a business trip, so relaxing to come to this place to relax and put our feet up on the front porch, so much better than a hotel!!! Would definitely stay here again!
