The property was amazing, alot nicer and more spacious than what I imagined from the pictures on-line. However, we drove up on a 15 passenger mini church bus and had no idea the drive up to the cabin would be that narrow, curvy and steep. That could've been explained better in description so you know what to drive, and not to drive. We also saw bears on a couple of occasions, that was pretty cool. The only issue we had was the main level air conditioner was not working when we arrived. I immediately reached out to guest services by text and they responded quickly. However, it wasn't until Wednesday night that we finally had a working ac unit, and it was Thursday morning before it was able to cool down the main level. Then we checked out Friday morning. They sent someone same day each time to work on unit, usually in the afternoon, but they didn't fix the problem Monday or Tuesday. The guy that came Wednesday stayed until 9pm until he had the issue fixed.

This was our first moutain cabin experience. However, I must say the Vacasa staff and customer service was superior and always ready to help and provided expedition repair service. Support staff reached out and followed up when needed. Just be on the lookout for bears. We saw one big one and another day a mother and cubs looking for food. They went their merry way and did not bother us.

Loved the secluded cabin with plenty of room. There was trash on the back hill, which should be cleaned up. The cabin does need a little TLC, but other than that we loved it. Maybe a little more kitchen mixing bowls and pans would be a good idea

We enjoyed our weekend here! Would stay again!

Only thing I loved about this home was that it was a beautiful cabin. Behind the cabin it was filled with garbage everywhere. Cigarette butts, cigars, broken glass, plastic, tons of beer cans from other renters that apparently the maintenance people can’t be bothered to clean up, but I took the time to clean up. I walked the property & cleaned up the garbage & took pictures of it and sent it to the owner & told them about the garbage & they did nothing about it. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

Location was perfect, beautiful views, quiet. Just what we needed for a relaxing Easter weekend. Plenty of room for everyone. We all enjoyed the hot tub, pool table!! Kitchen had everything we needed to make a delicious dinner. Everything was clean, beds were very comfortable. If we had any issues, host responded promptly and fixed the issue. Would absolutely stay again!

Cobwebs all over the house, didn’t look like they dusted in months. 4 forks for 17 people. Had to complain about the dirt and they offered to come and clean and we declined because we were in the midst of making Thanksgiving dinner and it should have been cleaned prior to our arrival.

Well maintained house. Spacious interior. Plenty of parking space. We had a good time at this place. We did outdoor grilling, photo shoots, etc.
We saw a couple of bears walking by in the morning. Luckily, they were not interested in us. Some minor things that bothered us were that we could not figure out how to operate the TV remote. It was not properly labelled. We finally decided to install TV remote app on the phone and use it instead. Also, the drive this place was scary, especially at night. But once we got to know the road, it was not a problem afterwards.

This cabin was very secluded which was awesome. Had everything we needed for our visit. And the visits from bears were pretty cool also.

The Woodlands was excellent for a family vacation. It is secluded from other cabins in the woods and mountains. The cabin was spacious which allowed the kids and teenagers plenty of room. The internet was not real good on the bottom level of the 3 floor cabin. There were minor things that needed to be repaired. We enjoyed the hot tub and grilling out on the gas grill. We had bears visit us their cubs. One bear and her cubs den was near the house in a wooded ravine. A bear got into one of the vehicles as the window was accidentally left down. A bear also got into the grill and removed the grill pan and licked all the grease out of it. If you want to see bears, this is the place! We had to go outside in two’s to ensure the bears did come up on us when taking the trash out to the bins which were enclosed in metal like cages. The Woodlands was very enjoyable.

I would NOT come back to stay here. Heater was not working downstairs, house stinks, several ceiling titles with leakage about to burst, coffee maker was broken, washer machine was full of mold, dishwasher had water left on the bottom, the door in the laundry room was falling down, danger to the kids, light in shower bedroom was blinking, shower tub and sink was clogged, etc. I had complained after first night, but not resolved.

When we arrived we noticed that the cabin needed some tlc. I have many photos of damage and items that need attention.
We left the cabin in the morning of 4/1 to enjoy downtown Gatlinburg and when we returned at 5:30 pm there was no power. Since we are traveling with small children and an expecting mom we were very concerned especially since the temperatures were dropping. We called Vacasa and vrbo twice to report this. No one returned our call. It was getting too cold for the kids to sleep in the basement (2 have asthma) so we packed and left before dark. We were very disappointed with our stay and the lack of customer service. We also reported the outage to security as we were leaving. No one has contacted us to make it right. Do not recommend.

We didn’t spend much time here. We used it as a place for 20 people to sleep, to which it was accommodating. Minor issues throughout such as small cleanliness issues and damaged furniture or fixtures- presumably from previous rentals.
Great scenic views, easy check in/check out process. Would consider staying again

Cabin was very spacious. Great for big families. Our Hot Tub was not working. however, we contacted Vacasa & they had it fixed in no time. (Kids we’re excited) the only thing I recommend is bringing your own pans for cooking. There isn’t any large family pans to cook with. Other than that, our family had a great stay. The cabin was perfect. We did not see any bears. (Which the kids were hoping for) lol

Our group had a very enjoyable weekend and this house was perfect for a large group and worked great with kids! The drive in can be a little interesting but not being right on top of neighbors is worth it! Plus for us we were lucky enough to have a bear visit us one morning!
My 4 star review is based upon two things: the kitchen is in desperate need of a restock of items such as a large pot, pot holders, baking sheets, etc. Plus the microwave did not work. Secondly, the carpet downstairs would benefit from a cleaning.

We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful cabin. We were worried about the drive way because of other reviews but it really wasn't that bad at all to get in and out of, but there was no snow or ice when we stayed. The cabin was clean and very spacious. It couldn't have been more perfect. Hoping i get to stay in this cabin again one day!

Nice property. Could have left more toilet paper and a puck or two for the air hockey table. Please note you need dishwashing detergent since they only leave one or two tablets as well as coffee filters.

Great place for a large group. We used it for a church youth trip. Easy enough to keep an eye on everybody but also let them do their thing too.

The cabin was beautiful and enough space for my family to move around and not feel on top of each other. The drive up was a bit scary, but just take your time going up and coming down. If you plan on going during snow bring lots of salt and kitty litter. We didn’t use the hot tub it was just way tooooo cold lol, but glad we had the option. I would say that there were a few broken things in the house that should have been sent to me prior to arrival so that we knew the things were there before we arrived. But other than that we enjoyed the cabin.

The cleanliness of this cabin was was very poor. It was obvious the floors had not been swept or mopped thoroughly. Dust and trash were in the corners. The bathroom vanities needed to be cleaned off. There was no remote in the master bedroom. The washing machine did not work. The master bedroom window has curtains and the other window did not. The carpet needs to be replaced in the basement. One of the ceiling tiles was broken and partially hanging down.
Those are just a few of the items. To pay well over $3,000 for a weekend stay, I would expect so much more. My first experience with Vacasa, and probably just last.

Wonderful cabin, plenty of rooms and things to do. Great place for a large family gathering only disappointment was how dirty the whole cabin was. Mice droppings everywhere, dirty, moldy showers, hair in all showers, tubes and mold in washer. We had to wash every dish (yes, we typically do wash but we had to use bleach because of mice droppings).

Everything was amazing. Ceiling fans could have been dusted but other than that AMAZING. Literally in the middle of the woods...gorgeous and private. I would stay again.

Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Not much room for hanging out. House needs some TLC. Ice maker didn’t work. No way to contact anyone about problems.

We enjoyed this cabin and how spacious it was for our family. We were able to spend time together at the table after those hot breakfast meals were cooked and some evening dinners. Some enjoyed the hot tub several afternoons. We all were able to see the 2 bears that visited each day. The wildest part is the drive up to the cabin. It gets squirrelly in some areas!!! We all didn’t want to leave though! Even the bear showed up outside our van at the last minute as we were getting ready to leave, and he delayed us a little longer. LOL!!!

We stayed in this cabin for 4 nights with 18 people. The kids loved having a room all to themselves and staying together. The air hockey and pool tables are great additions. Very clean and spacious. There is not a view from this cabin looking out into the Smokey Mountains.

The cabin was beautiful. We had a few minor things, but they worked with us and were available the whole time. We had a bear come up every day. One morning he was on tbe porch in front of the door!

Nice house
Woodland Hideway is a nice house, great for large groups since it has four master suites. The cleaning crew failed to leave any paper products in the entire house - no toilet paper or paper towels. They also failed to remove the garbage from the outside bins, but did return to collect it after the local Vacasa care team was contacted about the issue

Great cozy place
I would have given a 5 star but the hot tub was kinda dirty and had an off smell
Other than that very beautiful place super big and comfy

Cabin stay
Stay was fine. I wish I would have been able to reschedule since most of my party had to cancel due to sickness. But because it was so close to my checkin I wasn’t allowed to. I would like to suggest maybe putting in a light for that drive. It’s kind of scary

This place is beautiful BUT
We had an issue with the cleanliness and have not been able to get into contact with anyone to address the several emails I have sent

Cozy cozy!
This cabin was so cozy & comfortable! The owners have clearly taken previous reviews to heart - we used the pool table all weekend and the kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed. We loved how isolated the location felt and we did definitely see the resident black bear a few times. Would highly recommend!

Amazing cabin
Pictures doesn’t show the true beauty of this cabin. It was more than we could ever expect and then some. Plus we enjoyed watching the bear right outside. Watched them roam the woods off the back deck and come up to the cabin like they we pets. But please stay your distance because bear will get very aggressive. I give this cabin a 100 stars. LOVED IT
