About this house rental
Comfortable. Close. Stylish. Welcome to our beautifully styled, comfortably decorated four bedroom home which is minutes from SouthEnd (walkable neighborhood with a friendly vibe + food options from fancy to casual). Open downstairs living plan. Large master bedrooms on both levels with memory foam king beds. TV's in both masters. Fully stocked kitchen. Dining room. Outdoor deck and balcony off of upstairs master. Overlooks half-acre lot. Perfect for your getaway, short or long term stay.
Absolutely incredible views of the skyline if you walk down the street a bit. Quiet street, families mostly.
This is a private, stand-alone home on approximately a half-acre lot. Fully fenced with white vinyl privacy fence.
There is a freight railroad line that is about a mile from the property, and the engine whistle is audible when the trains pass through. I have not heard it during the evening, but it is possible. I have added white noise machines and earplugs if you're a light sleeper to help just in case.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO PARTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please read the following regarding gatherings of any kind...I have had to shut down several of these with the help of the police lately. That is fun for no one.
There are to be no parties held here. This is prohibited by my own rules and VRBO's rules.
Here's a good rule of thumb - No more than 5-6 cars parked AT MY HOUSE - not in front of the neighbors, not down the street. You can fit 4-5 cars in the driveway and ONE out front. There are to be no more than 15 people on this property at anytime and all guest who are staying overnight need to be included in your reservation count.
I will detect a party in the following ways:
1. There is a doorbell camera and a floodlight camera that detect sound as well. I can see who comes and goes, and I can hear the level of noise by simply looking at my phone.
2. My neighbors all have my number and I have asked them to call me if the noise is too much or there are other disturbances occurring. They have also been told to call the police if they think it warrants it.
3. I will occasionally drive by to check on the property as I do not live that far away.
If a party is occurring, or if you have messed with my cameras, etc. to hide a party. The following will occur:
1. I will contact you for an explanation and give you a chance to fix the issue
2. If the issue is not resolved immediately, I will contact VRBO support. They will cancel your reservation and you will receive no refund.
3. I will contact the authorities to have you removed from the premises.
Long story short - DO NOT EVEN THINK OF THROWING A PARTY HERE. IT WILL NOT END WELL.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate that it’s necessary to lay this all out in such a way, ideally I could just say “no parties” and be done with it, but turns out not to be true.

Allen is a fabulous host, communicating all the details a guest needs to check in easily and who answers questions quickly.
The home was very comfortable (slept two of the best nights of my life in the upstairs King bed!), spacious with four bedrooms, a large kitchen with sit at island, a nice dining room, large family room and fantastically huge back yard (so jealous of that long, grassy yard).
This location was close to the restaurants, music venue and highway we used but still a quiet, secure home away from home.
And, most of all, the home was well worth the value. He chose Allen's home versus an expensive, small downtown hotel room or other VRBO options.
Thanks again, Allen, for your warm hospitality and sharing your roomy home with us!

We decided to get a VRBO for the Tennessee vs NC State college football game at Bank of America Stadium. This home was in a great spot just a few short minutes away from the downtown scene. It was easy to find, It was easy and cheap to get an Uber to and from our activities. I recommend this property for your stay in Charlotte. It is in a cute quiet safe neighborhood that has a lot of character. Older homes that have or are going through a fix up stage. I recommend staying there and would go back and stay again if the opportunity comes up again.

We lost our mother in April so we are here for a family getaway. It was a comfortable place,

The home offered everything we needed for an overnight stay in Charlotte. The kitchen was well appointed with the downstairs offering an open concept design. The neighborhood was close to downtown activities and safe. Our pup loved the very large and secure backyard! Being the height of summer, we were surprised no AC was on at the property; it was 84 downstairs and 95 degrees upstairs upon our arrival. It took several hours for the home to cool. Also we couldn’t get the downstairs shower knob to produce hot water - leaving us with one shower for use. Overall, great property!

The host of this property was amazing and responded very quickly. Quiet, nice area and close to downtown. It is a older home that was renovated so the inside looks much nicer than the outside. Did not have body soap which was interesting, only had maybe an 1/8 of a bottle of shampoo in the shower. Also had a dent in the wall upstairs from where a door knob was slammed into the wall, but nothing else major. A/C units were great, Google Nest, and smart TV were also nice touches. Would stay here again

House was beautiful, just as described. Excellent stay

We appreciated the spacious home in Charlotte. It was easy to get to and the check in process was a breeze. Overall we had a good experience. We were a little disappointed that the grass was overgrown. Beyond that we are grateful.

The house and property are well kept and in a great location to downtown area. There was plenty of space for the 7 of us total that had stayed in the house (4 adults, 3 kids). The bedrooms had plenty of space and comfortable. The back deck was nice for an early morning coffee before getting your day started. Would highly recommend.

The house was super cute inside, great location in the city, and the back yard was such a wonderful place for the dogs and kids to run around and relax with coffee in the morning. We had four adults, five kids and two dogs and were so comfortable here!

We were looking for a place to spend the night after a concert in Charlotte. This was only a few miles away and it was a better deal for us to book this house than 2 hotel rooms! It's an older home but was clean and well-kept. It also had a huge backyard!
I would recommend this, especially if you are looking for an extended stay with family and want to be really close to, but not in uptown.

Nice place in an up and coming neighborhood. Basic, clean, comfortable. There is a railroad track somewhere close as you do hear trains occasionally. Was hard to figure out light for upstairs bathroom (switch must be “on” in the bedroom). Short stay so I can’t comment on the showers. Overall was fine!

The pictures don’t show the house so we couldn’t see that the shower was small. The house was big enough for us to enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked. No place to put unpacked clothes.

We had a cheer comp the same weekend as March Madness and other events. It was so nice to Uber to town for $10. Everyone got good sleep. Showers could use some updating, but overall a great stay.

This Airbnb was actually very comfortable. Usually when sleeping in a strange environment it’s hard to feel at home. This house was clean and quiet and very comfortable. Thanks to the owner, we appreciate it!

I loved the space in the house. The beds were super comfortable. The downstairs bathroom was not clean at all. Which was a big problem for me because all of us had to share the upstairs bathroom.

We stayed here during the winter, January to be exact. When we arrived to the home the heating unit was completely off. It was 56 degrees in the house, and it took awhile for it to warm up. I am assuming when there are no occupants he keeps the heat/air off. The upstairs thermostat did not appear to work. We let the owner know, who said he would send someone to check it out, but no one ever came. There was no heating/cooling regulation upstairs. We were freezing the first night, and burning up the last 2 nights. This is also an older home, that has been remodeled. The neighborhood is super close to the train track; we heard the train coming and going all night - every night. You must pull the front door tightly towards you in order for it to lock. The front door is essentially completely see through. You can see straight into the house if the porch light is on. Not a terrible place, but we were not very comfortable.

Great space and location. Convenient & Close to town.

While we may not have been in the property very long as we were at an event. It was clean, spacious, and fit our needs very well. Quiet neighborhood and it was 8 minutes away from the venue. 10:10 would do again

Property was easy to find, lots of space inside in addition to a backyard for hanging out was a plus. We enjoyed our time here and visiting the city. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be close to the city but not in the heart of it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was nice, clean and cozy. A few minor maintenance issues but the owner responded immediately. I would stay here again if needed a place to stay in Charlotte.

We enjoyed our stay here very much! Great location for our girls weekend away visiting the Billy Graham Library at Christmas, shopping, Calvary Church!! Host was very responsive!

Very nice property. Proximity to train traffic was a surprise but didn't impact our stay. Loved the backyard.

We only needed one night for an early flight out the next morning. It was an older home and a few minor issues, but overall it was worth the price and for the convenience for what we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is really comfortable and well appointed. We had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet …with the exception of trains passing by in the evening and blowing their whistle. Localism closes to everything by car. Thank you

We've stayed at this house twice now and really enjoyed it. It's clean, spacious, and the backyard is great. Wonderful communication with the owner! Great location that's a short drive to downtown.

Check in easy. Location to Charlotte great but neighborhood felt a little uncomfortable
Trains an issue as several through the night ! Showers very small and a problem for a male adult.
Outside area is nice and good parking.
Overall a good stay but would not book again due to the noise of the trains

The house was easy to find. It was nice. However, the owner was not so nice. The email he sent with instructions and the door code was very abrasive and rude. Unfortunately, at that point, I had already paid for the rental. Otherwise, I would have cancelled. The bathroom light did not work. After a tense txt msg with him, he sent someone over to fix it. That gentleman was very nice. We zapped flies in the house, using his bug zapper. An AC repairman showed up early Saturday morning. I did not get a courtesy notification. So, I would not recommend this property.
