The views the comfort of the home access to the beach

We enjoyed the stay. I house was as described and we enjoyed the location and the views from the front of the building. The only detraction was the multiple stains on the carpet on the entry stairs, upstairs entry area and some of the bedrooms. New carpet would definitely improve the review.

The property had an amazing view of the Pacific and watching sunsets from the dinning room table was wonderful! The home is a little dated and was clean but not deep cleaned. The home is large and we enjoyed being able to spread out a bit. The town had a few fun shops that my teens liked shopping in. The people in the town were all very friendly. The only negative about the property were the beds. They were thin mattresses on a platform and left my back aching. I ended up sleeping on the couch after my first night.

Barbecue no propane door lock working bad no soap laundry don’t have any salt nothing you have to bring everything with you. I am not happy with that house.

This is a great home and so close to the beach! Lots of room and close to town. Kitchen has great supplies for cooking, our kids had all their own space. Would stay again!

The property had a lot of potential but was poorly maintained. The outside of the house appears run down, in stark contrast to the well-kept neighbor's house. The dimming lights in the living room and master bedroom were not installed correctly as they had a strobing effect if not turned to just the right setting. Both the master bathroom and basement bathroom had jammed sink stoppers. Some of the curtain rods were lazily installed, as they would slide back and forth when trying to open/close curtains. The pictures included a photo of a hot tub, but it was out of service for the stay (in their defense it was not listed as an amenity in the posting, but I still found this to be misleading).
The property did have gorgeous ocean and mountain views, however this was greatly smeared by the dump in the neighboring backyard. This eyesore took up nearly all of the views from the backyard balcony and was a large disappointment.
The location of this property was very ideal, and we enjoyed quick access to the ocean, sightseeing, and activities. The home was spacious and comfortably accommodated our family of 7 for 6 days. If proper maintenance/updates were completed on this house and information on the backyard situation was transparent, it would have the potential to be a 9/10 stay.

Great location next to the beach and lighthouse.

House was in good shape and fit our family well. The cleanliness was questionable but liveable. There were dozens of bee hives underneath the roof that shouldn’t been there. Windows looked dirty but I believe it was from the outside. House itself was nice could prob use a new paint job as some areas were paint chipped but thats to be expected due to the salt air. Deck had a pair of chairs but no table to have our morning coffee at. Overall it was good for the price we paid.

Location is fairly close for access to Redwoods. Nice ocean and lighthouse views. House is dated and in need of repair and paint. It does have 4 bedrooms on 2 levels. All queen beds of varying comfort. Window coverings are inadequate in bedrooms. The curtains barely cover the windows. A shade would be appreciated for privacy and room darkening.
One of the bedrooms had no electricity. No operational outlets or lighting. Notified property management and they said “they would put in a ticket “. This issue went unresolved during our stay.
Dated appliances and worn interior furnishings. Inside front door handle barely hanging on. Screws were loose and the handle was moments away from falling off.
Weird single use powdered soap in shower. Bring your own.
Not a bad choice for families with young children but it was underwhelming. Everything listed was there (sort of) but of lesser quality than expected.
I would not recommend.

Lots of potential for this home. Great location for watching the winter sunrise and sunsets. Home does need some deep cleaning and upgrades/fixes to home appliances.

The location was great. Within walking distance to beach, lighthouse and restaurants. The interior was a little disappointing. Stained carpets, the cloth runner on the kitchen table was dirty/stained. There are no window coverings in the main living spaces so at night you are on display to the neighbors. The location and large spaces were enough to overcome these other things.

We rented this unit to have our family TG here in 2022. The views are amazing and restaurants, the pier and play ground are all within walking distance. We had a couple of minor issues which the property manager took care of very promplty. The only element that deserves a comment is that the carpet needs a deep cleaning. If we visit again, we'll rent again and we highly recommend to anyone.

The views from this house were amazing! Just a small walk to the beach, and other restaurants down the road. The food at Seaquake was always delicious. The carpets were a little dirty but our main complaint was that the air conditioner couldn’t keep up with cooling the house. It was faster to just leave the windows open, but with the number of homeless people around the time for that was slim. Would definitely recommend for people who love to explore nature and want to escape to a small town.

This home has plenty of space for the family to spread out and relax or come together! So much exploring is within walking distance. The Redwoods are a short drive. You have everything you need for cooking meals in the kitchen, or restaurants are close by. Enough children's toys to keep them occupied when resting and even games and puzzles for the adults.

This was a perfect house for our party of 8. Great place for kids. Beautiful views and close to beaches and boardwalks. Very comfortable place to stay. Only downside is the carpet needs replaced. It is stained alot but seemed to be clean.

The neighbor is a super nice guy! The house was roomy and the couch was so comfortable. The living room tv was rather small but there was a larger one down stairs. Overall very good experience.

We had a great stay. Across the street is beach access. There are sandy beaches and tide pools within walking distance. We loved the lighthouse and the ocean view out the front windows! The large home offered plenty of space to spread out for our large family. Great spot to enjoy the ocean, and lots to explore within a short drive.

Home For The Holidays.
This rental is in my hometown. It was a nice place to go back to every night as my family doesn’t have a home here to go back to anymore. Beautiful views and close to the beach makes it a nice place to entertain friends as well.

Great family getaway
Location was outstanding, across the street is the beach. Great views. Perfect house to split with another family, one upstairs, one downstairs. House is well stocked with toys/games and kitchen items. Some of the mattresses are futons and are a little hard. Carpets are very stained and could use cleaning/replacement. Would definitely stay here again. Lighthouse, kids pirate playground and brewery are all within walking distance. Stout grove, trees of mystery, ocean world aquarium and fern canyon were all great for the kids. Adults enjoyed a day fishing trip out of Crescent City.

Crescent City Beach house
I loved the location and view of ocean, amenities were ok nothing too new and it had plenty of cookware if you want to cook. The only thing that could be much better is to be cleaner everywhere! Needs a good shampoo on carpets, bedding was not clean as I only felt that the sheets might be clean as the comforters were dirty from someone else before us! It was gross really to see that and unsatisfactory! Also bathrooms need a deep cleaning as mold and soap scum on curtains and around shower and sinks. I enjoyed the view but couldn't sleep in one of the view beds as it was too squeaky any time you move! I'm sorry to say there are nicer beach houses out there and I do not plan to go back to this one. Sorry to inform you of all of this as I don't like to complain unless I feel it is needed! :(

Well loved
This property is well loved..
Pros:
Super close to the beach, we could walk right across the street and we were there. We could also easily walk to a sand beach for the kids. Walking distance to Seaquake Brewery which had good food and beers (but is very busy), is a plus. It was nice having 4 bedrooms so we could spread out. We had access to Disney+ and Peacock network but the TV upstairs is so small we couldn't read the titles. I know, you're not at the beach for the TV but after dark we wanted to watch movies. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need to cook and there were plenty of bath towels. Close to the Redwoods is why we booked this location.
Cons:
The carpet desperately needs to be replaced. It was very stained and it's pulling away from the walls, so there is like carpet waves in the floor. The primary bedroom is large, a king size bed would be nice upgrade. The basement smelt very damp, close to the beach I would expect this but still. You're also right next door to the sewer plant. Also there is not much to do in Crescent City, I was expecting a true beach downtown one with an ice cream shop and cute stores but that's a no go.
All and all great location, but when you include all the fees (which I know the owner can't control) it's a bit overpriced for what you get.

Stay at the Beach & Redwoods
The property was wonderful! The view from the kitchen was amazing and we even got to see a whale swim by during dinner one evening! We would definitely recommend this property. It is literally across the street from the beach and is a short drive from old growth redwoods.

Great Getaway!
We came to see Redwood National Park, but equally enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. There was plenty of space for all five us. It is such a great location with its proximity to the coast and access to the national park. Can't wait to come back.

Lots to love but.....
First, I would likely rent this house again. The location is great and provided a great launching pad for our activities. Other than the carpet (more below), the interior is clean and cared for.
It's a beach house in a sometimes harsh environment, and the outside has weathered as expected. We had a very good time.
However, a few things need to be mentioned especially since we paid nearly $2000 for 4 nights. First, the carpet - it needs to be replaced or at a bare minimum DEEP cleaned. It's a shade of white, substantially stained, and so old and stretched that a hump has formed in the hallway. We would not walk on it with bare feet. In the same vein, the "slippers" provided at the front door were disgusting. Clearly, they were worn by people with dirty feet and left there uncleaned. We didn't touch them. The only other thing is the windows facing the beach. There are bird nests under the eaves across the entire front of the house. The birds droppings from those nests covered all of the windows, including the windows in the kitchen that faced the beach. If you are going to advertise "dramatic ocean views" those views should not be through bird droppings, and cooking/eating while looking at those windows was less than ideal. Again, we we would likely rent again but the items mentioned above should be rectified given the price per night.

Perfect Location
This is a very nice house with lots of room for more than one family. Stunning views of the ocean. It is a great spot from which to visit the Redwoods and other places near Crescent City. Walk to the beach, tide pools, lighthouse, jetty, brewery, and just up the hill from a large park.
As an earlier review mentioned, the furnishings are somewhat dated. That said, although the house was generally very surface clean, it could really use a deep cleaning. Small things: such as some items of bedding were soiled, I had to wipe out the bathroom drawer before putting in my stuff, there was some mold in one of the basement rooms. These things were not a huge deal, but somewhat of an annoyance.
Despite the negative, I would consider renting it again.

Beautiful Stay in Crescent City
The view was spectacular. We ate most meals at the house and all the necessities were there. The rooms were nice and the common areas were spacious. We recommend this home if you're looking for a place to stay in Crescent City.

Great Location
This home has a great location overlooking the ocean. We came in late and had no problem accessing the key. It has plenty of space and everything was very clean with one exception. The carpet was stained and appeared unclean. We also found some of the beds to be uncomfortable. We were surprised to find that there is no air conditioning as were all homes in the area. The house was 85 degrees when we got there. We were very uncomfortable the first night. We called property management and found out we had to open windows. There was a very nice breeze off the ocean but screens would have been nice. A very good restaurant within walking distance.

Redwood Country Close
If you want to be in the heart of redwood country, this is a great place. We loved a kayaking trip on the Smith River and a tour of the cute lighthouse across the street. The house was well stocked, clean, comfortable, spacious and bright.
