Lots of space! Old but very clean!

Looked for a quiet and clean property with three bedrooms for one couple and two single adults. This fulfilled our expectations and more - we were in town for 3 1/2 days and only left the house once - it was easier for other family in town to come to where we were & everyone loved the location! Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Even better than the pictures, this home was cozy and welcoming. Very clean. Perfect location at the end of a quiet street and close to everything. We spent a lot of time playing games and enjoying the view and celebrating Thanksgiving. Customer service was great when we needed to fluctuate on the date of arrival. Recommend!

We've rented many houses in the past and this one surpassed our expectations. The house is well-located, affording great views of the bay. It is well-stocked and very large. There were 5 of us and there were several different areas of the house to lounge, read, watch t.v., etc. The vacasa app worked perfectly to let us know when the house was ready, how to enter, advised us of the opportunity for late check out etc. We will definitely be back!

My 90 year old mother had difficulty with the step-ups/downs between kitchen and dining room. Otherwise, beautiful house. Loved staying there.

This property was exactly as noted in pictures and descriptions. Very spacious with lots of sitting space. Beautiful view even with the freeway. You could hear the cars yet it’s far enough away that it was not overly loud. There was a bbq, yet we didn’t see one in pictures so we had brought a little one in case. Clean and great for our family. We had grandparents with us as well and it was nice that they could have master and the rest of us had the the other two rooms and bathroom which was far enough away so everyone had their space. Everything was wonderful! Will keep this house on our list for future visits!

Nice, clean property. Gray location! Plenty of room for a large family or possibly multiple families. Two living spaces is very nice!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property and we love the accommodations and location. The view can't be beat and we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend.

My family and I nicknamed this home, Antland. There were ants in the kitchen and both kids' rooms.
At first, it was the kitchen sink even though we had not even brought food into the house or used the sink. Then the countertops, butcher block island, and the entire kitchen floor. They also popped up the kids' bedrooms and my kids were bitten several times while they slept. When I asked for help, they told me the home was on a treatment plan for ants. I wish I would have known that prior to booking.
The local staff did try to remedy the situation. However, the ant baits and non-toxic spray they delivered made it worse. There was no way to cook at all and we had rented the home (rather than a hotel) to have a nice homemade Christmas dinner.
There is mold growing in the master bathroom and the fireplace barely heats a foot in front of itself. When it is really windy or raining, it sounds like it is doing so inside because the doors (including the sliding glass doors) are so drafty that the plastic sunblock curtains sound like thunder.
If you want peace of mind and body, do not stay here.

Overall, it was a good time, however the furnace for the living area had to be repaired as there was no heat in part of the house when we arrived. This was efficiently handled by the property manager Samantha, who was great!

This is a spacious home and was a convenient location to explore various Redwoods state parks. We enjoyed the beautiful views, pleasant porch, and opportunity for my family of four to spread out. We also appreciated the laundry room (this stop was part of a longer trip). The internet was fast and the neighborhood pleasant.
However, as others have mentioned, some of the furniture could definitely use replacing. The mattress in the master bedroom was really uncomfortable and I can't imagine anyone over the age of 40 could sleep well on it. Additionally, we found the pots and pans were really old and some had caked on food. I would recommend that the management go through the kitchen cabinets (particularly pots and pans) and ensure that everything is useable and clean.

House was a bit old school but super clean. Everything needed was available and well stocked. Only downside is this house is not for smaller children. Lots and lots of pointy corners/steps and breakables all over the house. Also, no working baby gates available for the basement, just an old non-working one available. However, house is in great shape and close to everything.

Older home in quiet neighborhood that was very clean with well equipped kitchen. Streaming TV options were abundant. Comfortable beds and reliable internet. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We enjoyed the magnificent view from the property, the comfortable and open home, filled with beautiful art and plants and furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped . The property is in a quiet cul de sac, near the ocean.
We are very pleased with our stay. Thank you!

Eureka!
The house being the last on the street made for a wide open view. The house was ample. The coaches looked good, but because of their age one sank into them. Not very comfortable. There were no directions on how to use the tv remotes. The manager had to come and show us how. Hope they write a detailed instructions for them. That was the negatives. The rest of the house was wonderful to use. We would gladly return.

Great views.. big home.. well-stocked
Spacious ceilings, separate get-together areas (den separated from living room, eat-in kitchen is separate from dining room). Beautiful expansive view of Bay & ocean. Convenient location

We loved the location, views and floor plan!
Most everything was positive.
A few negatives:
-Internet did not work. Property management attempted to fix but not able to do so within our stay.
-Coffee grinder was broken but was replaced by PM.
-Water heater had a leak and we were not able to shower on day 2 in morning before leaving for the day. Property management fixed later that morning .
-Automatic soft glow night light strips under steps in home would be appreciated.

Wonderful Redwoods Retreat
We needed a stopping ground for exploring Redwoods National Park and Humboldt in general - this was the perfect stop. We were a little wary driving in since the neighborhood is older. It's close to 101 as well and I dislike highway noise. BUT we absolutely grew to love this house. It was sunny and comfortable. Very quiet inside. The living room was beautiful, the view of the bay was wonderful, sunsets were amazing, and we loved the fully stocked kitchen. Good wifi. The kitchens and bathrooms are completely dated but if you are a 70s child then it makes you nostalgic. Beds were comfy and we all slept well. Loved the fireplace too. They warned us about ants in the kitchen and we did have to deal with them but not too bad. If you like a cozy, homey pad, this is great for you. If you want something more up to date, you'd have to keep looking (there isn't a ton of choices in the area and I wouldn't want to stay in the city of Eureka - too run down and doesn't seem incredibly safe at night). I do agree with prior comments that they could use a few more comfy chairs. We found a million good trails nearby to hike and it was only a hour to the national park.

Excellent for family
This home has everything you need for your stay. It's very clean and well located in a quiet neighborhood. Great place to have quick access to the free way and extraordinary views. We loved to go for walks in the neighborhood and we would sit and drink coffee on the large deck. Fantastic place to stay, you will love it here.

Spacious house with great ocean view
We had a great time during our 1-week stay at this house in August. This house is very spacious (1-story, ~2650 sq ft), overlooking the bay to the west. It's in a quiet and safe neighborhood, but is very close to highway exit. When I read the airbnb review, I was concerned about internet speed/stability here, but the internet was fast and stable during our stay. We had a zoom meeting without a problem. There were a lot of mosquitoes outside the house. We also killed several mosquitoes inside the house, but it was not a big problem for us. The bedrooms and the rest of the house have 2 separate furnaces, controlled by 2 separate thermostats. The furnaces were a bit loud when they were on, but they also have a portable radiant heater available. The Vacasa representative also responded promptly. We highly recommend this house.

Fantastic House Retreat
This house was such a comfortable place to stay in; lots of rooms, large kitchen, decent view, and very clean. I don't have any complaints; though I do have some nice to haves - lounge seating would be awesome on the deck. Some of the other highlights I appreciated: didn't have to take the sheets off the bed - this seems like a small thing, but I feel when I'm on vacation, I shouldn't have to remove the sheets; that's why we pay a cleaning fee. I also appreciated that they left enough paper products - lately it seems as if house rentals include 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels. When there are 4 people in the house 1 roll of anything isn't very helpful. This is a very special home with homeowner memories throughout the house - wished it were mine!! Thanks Vacasa for your informational emails and keeping in touch.....

A nice summer retreat
It is such a big and fully stocked house which has everything for our family summer vacation. It is also close to attractions such as redwood parks. We enjoyed our stay.

Great home base for exploring the Redwoods
Tons of space and great communication. The home had everything we needed and we appreciated the nice touches such as a a dish sponge and soap. The home has an eclectic feel that we grew to love and someone has spent a lot of time over the years filling it with great books and art. Ideally the home would remain as is with a few furniture updates for comfort such as the mattresses and couches. We would recommend for a large family who loves to cook in and play games!

Wonderful stay!
We loved staying at the Humboldt Bay Retreat! It was a lovely and spacious home with an incredible view. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring the nearby national parks. It was also conveniently close to downtown Eureka. We would love to stay there again if we are ever back there.

The deck and view were very nice. Furniture not comfortable at all - from the kitchen chairs to the couches.

Nice House
A very nice house, certainly about average. Also has a nice view, although the pictures make it look like it’s west of 101. Actually it’s east of 101, which you can see from the deck. And I couldn’t get a response from the property manager to my two emails when I needed to adjust the dates due to rain, as I was planning to go fishing. When I called customer service, they were able to assist me. Overall, a really nice house.

Lovely house
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Very spacious, huge deck, well equipped kitchen. We cooked every night and loved turning on the small radio in the kitchen and the large stereo in the living room, and opening up all the windows to enjoy the sunset. Only complaint from us is that there are a few weird electrical issues (lights that either flicker or sometimes work sometimes don't when the switch is flipped... primarily in the master bedroom and master bath).

The view is incredible!
The place is wonderful - easy to find - kitchen well-appointed- everything very clean! The view is stupendous- we loved having dinner on the porch each night. The sitting room with the fire is very relaxing! Beds comfortable- checkout process super easy! If you have young kiddos just be aware there is a lot of nice furniture and “breakables” so definitely make sure kiddos are not left unattended. We were good with a 3, 5, and 7 year old but with younger toddlers we might have been more nervous....we will definitely be back again!

30th Anniversary Get Away
Traveling during a pandemic was risky but well worth it. We arrived with our adult children and left with a baby on the way announcement and an engagement! To say this trip to this bEautiful area was memorable is an understatement. This home is nicely situated central to so many outdoor attractions! It was was clean and comfortable for all of us. We ended up cooking more than planned due to the second state shut down due to Covid and the kitchen was well equipped fir this.
