About this house rental
Lovely Beach House getaway 6 houses from Beach. Spacious house suitable for family or two couples and two kids. Sleeps 6. Internet and Dish TV. Many waterfront restaurants. Gorgeous sunsets, great happy hours, farmers market right on Harbor every Sunday. Easy drive to Santa Barbara, Malibu, Getty museum 90 minutes, Ronald Reagan presidential library 45 minutes. Silver Strand Beach is one of those hidden gems along the coast. Your living area will be on the second floor with private rooftop deck and bbq. Main entrance is shared,.but you have a private entrance to the second floor. $50 per person per stay after first 2 adults.

This is our families fourth time at this lovely beach house. Arlene is always available for any questions ! Its just right for our small family .

Entry was smooth, home is clean. Maybe built in the 50’s with some remaining trim. Older bathrooms but worked. Vaulted ceilings provide a nice open spacious feel.
I loved and was surprised by how quiet the neighborhood was. Slept very very well. We did not have children with us, but I imagine the outside wooden stairs up to the rooftop might make some parents hold on tight to their kiddos. But for adults it was a lovely spot to listen to the wind in the trees.

This is the 2nd time I stayed at this beautiful house. We loved it! My sister and I didn’t see each other for 3 years and staying here together, walking to the beach to pick the sand dollars, going to see the sea lions around the area…we had such a good time here. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us! We will definitely come back!

This is the 2nd time I stayed at this beautiful house. We loved it! My sister and I didn’t see each other for 3 years and staying here together, walking to the beach to pick the sand dollars, going to see the sea lions around the area…we had such a good time here. Clean, comfortable and airy. Nice furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Great location to a very clean, uncrowded beach ~ bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs and life jackets available too! Quiet area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Weekend getaway
Minor confusion with the layout and entry process ( keys and cars), Next door neighbor was impatient with us trying to figure out where to park two cars as soon as we arrived. Once we met Ernie arriving to the downstairs portion of our building he helped us with suggestions. Once this was answered, the stay was enjoyable. Pretty and mostly peaceful.

Rainy days on the coast
We loved this property. It was so clean and had everything you could need. Arlene was amazing in her communication and accommodating me. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay. I will definitely stay here again.

Great beach house with a great location
We had a fantastic stay at Arlene's beach house! We had no problem communicating with Arlene, and the house was very clean when we arrived. There is a lot of space to spread out in the living room and the couches were very comfortable. The rooftop widow's walk provided a great space to hang out, as did the front balcony overlooking the street.
As first time visitors to Oxnard, we were very happy with the Silver Strand area. We could quickly walk to the beach, which was not busy at all, except for a handful of beach walkers and surf fishermen. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

This is the second floor of a house and extremely private. The house is well stocked with kitchen equipment, beach chairs and toys, everything you need. The beach is huge and uncrowded. I'm already thinking about when I can come back.

If you live the beach, then this is your place. It's close by in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to Oxnard if you want to go out it need groceries. A great beach retreat even on a busy holiday weekend.

Such a nice and comfortable place to stay! The place had everything we needed. The pictures don’t do it justice! Once you walk in, it’s so airy, comfortable and a great place to relax and entertain as well! First time to use VRBO, and Arlene did a great job! Thanks again!
