About this house rental
A transformed farmhouse in the heart of downtown Chaska now available as a locally crafted furnished guest house for up to eight guests.
Built in 1893 as a farmhouse in the brick making town of Chaska, Minnesota, the home was owned by three generations of the same family since 1923 when it was purchased for renovation in 2019. Now it’s been transformed and is ready to welcome guests!

--The space--
The transformation began in March 2019 with the goal to retain the original foundation, framing and much of the floorplan. Over the next five months, the house was completely transformed.
The hardwood floors on the first floor were brought back to life, a first-floor laundry and mud room were added, all the house systems were replaced, and a second-floor master suite was
added.
A completely transformed home was born ready to welcome guests for the next 100 years!
--BED and BATH--
Up to 8 guests can sleep comfortably in this lovely three-bedroom home:
• Bedroom 1: 1 king bed, en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet
• Bedroom 2: 1 queen bed
• Bedroom 3: 1 single and single trundle bed
• Living room: 1 full sized pull-out couch, large enough for 2 guests
Sleep well on freshly laundered, high-quality bedding and wake up to natural light from the large windows.
The home includes 2 full bathrooms and 1 powder room, so getting ready will be a breeze for everyone! The master bathroom has a large vanity top, toilet, and shower. Bathroom 2 includes sink, toilet, and shower/tub combo. And the half bath near the backyard includes a toilet and sink only. We provide toiletries, towels, and a hair dryer so you can pack light.
--LIVING SPACE--
This restored farmhouse features a large, open kitchen with farmhouse sink, gas range, and the original hardwood floors.
The kitchen has everything you need for a home-cooked meal. Appliances include a refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker, and
the cabinets are stocked with cookware, dishes, glasses, and utensils.
Dine in style at the elegant table for 8 or kick back in the living room, where you’ll find comfortable chaise sofa for seating. It’s the ideal spot to play a game, watch a movie on the flat-screen TV, or recap the day’s adventures.
Step out to your private backyard and enjoy breakfast al fresco or wind down with a beverage at the end of the day.

The home is equipped with fast WiFi, heat, and central air conditioning for optimal comfort and connected-ness. A washer and dryer are located in the first floor mud room.

• All guests must be over the age of 25, unless part of a family unit. Verification may be required.
• All check-ins are contactless! To provide this service, we require a selfie of you holding your ID to verify your identity, prior to check-in. No exception.
• Bookings made within 10 days of arrival will require additional credit card documentation.
• Our Rental Agreement must be signed prior to arrival. This will require your email address. Please inquire about the terms and conditions prior to booking. More info can be found on the Minnestay website, under Guest Services - Rental Policies.
• Minnestay uses a third-party to screen the identity and check criminal databases for all guests in order to confirm a reservation. Guests will be required to complete the screening by responding to an email sent by the third-party. Complete terms regarding guest screening can be found on the Safely website, under Terms.
• No smoking inside of the home.
• This property may have a noise monitoring device on the interior of the home. Additional noise monitoring devices may be located in gathering spaces on the exterior of the home, as well.
• No events - This home is designed for families and responsible adults. Restrictions include, but are not limited to: Weddings and wedding celebrations, Bachelorette/bachelor gatherings, and reunions.
• Pets allowed with prior notice and required pet fee (fee dependent on pet count, $150+).
• Please respect the home and clean up after yourself!
• Quiet Hours: 10PM-7AM. We love our neighbors!! Please be respectful of the permanent residents on either side of this property.
• Direct bookings or other online booking sources may be subject to a 3% cancellation fee.
Deviation from these rules can result in an eviction from the premises with no refund, as stated in the signed rental agreement.

We found this place to fit our family's needs very well. The home was clean and very welcoming. We have many family members living in nearby towns which made it easy for us to see them often. We really loved having the enclosed front porch as it provided a place for our kids to play. The bedrooms were comfy and cozy. There were just enough bathrooms for our party of 3 adults and 3 children ages 6, 3, 1. The dispensers of soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were a pleasant surprise. We did find a few things missing in terms of kitchen ware and cleaning items, (would have loved having a broom and mop on occasion), but for the most part the home is well stocked. Along with the tv in the living room, there were tvs in the 2 bigger bedrooms. We aren't very tech savvy so we weren't able use the bedroom tvs, but played youtube shows for the kids on the living room tv. The laundry pair came in handy; however, we found that the washer had a slight smell of mildew probably as a result of the door being closed when not in use or too much liquid detergent being used per wash. We like the detergent sheets provided as that is what we use at home. The backyard is fenced which we needed for our dog. The yard crew only mows so we moved the dead branches that fell off to the side of the yard. We used the new grill a couple of times. We bought utensils for it as there weren't any yet. We hope to find this home available when we return to visit family in the future.

This property was clean, close to a wonderful park, and provided great spaces for our family to relax, cook, and spend time together. We had a great experience staying here and would stay again!

Well renovated property close to historic downtown Chaska. Nice amenities and updated rooms. We look forward to staying there again when we come back to visit family.
