Luxury Guest Cottage in the ❤️ of Oxford! 1.4 miles to Oxford Historic Square and 2.4 miles to Ole Miss! Our property is conveniently located just down the street from Avent Park in a residential, family friendly neighborhood. It's close to all of your favorite sites and restaurants. Professionally decorated and comfortably furnished, it's complete with everything you need, including full gourmet kitchen, Keuring, full-sized coffee pot (coffee and fixings)and full sized washer and dryer. We offer luxury bedding including PineCone Hill and Peacock Alley for that luxury hotel feel. Guests are provided towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hairdryer. A great outdoor space with a canopy of lights is included as well to enjoy our nightly visits from neighborhood deer. Come enjoy our quaint, charming town! Perfect for game/event weekends or business professionals seeking quiet, well-appointed stay. New hardscaping and landscaping add perfect sophistication to the cottage and welcomes you when you arrive. We offer monitored parking for 2 vehicles. Hart Cottage was AMAZING! It was the perfect spot for an extended stay as we moved our daughter to college and stayed during the recruitment process. The owners were extremely friendly and kind. From the moment we arrived it was obvious they absolutely LOVE hosting folks in their property. They were punctual with all communication and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - right down to stocking the fridge with homemade yogurt and our favorite beverages...not to mention the basket full of goodies that we snacked on for over a week! The cottage had every amenity I needed for an extended stay and I felt right at home. I cannot image staying anywhere else in Oxford when I return to visit my daughter! Thank you for making our move-in and recruitment stay so comfortable - we will be back!

The Hart Cottage was the most perfect spot!! From the accommodations to the friendly neighbors, and of course the hosts, every single detail was perfectly thought out. We felt at home from the minute we arrived. I have never felt such hospitality! Every trip to Oxford from now on will be spent at the Hart Cottage!

This cottage is perfect to relax and rejuvenate! Mark and Jo Shannon are wonderful hosts. The thought that they put in to every detail is much appreciated. It smells divine, the kitchen is fully stocked, bed and living area are very comfortable and immaculately clean, and the outdoor seating with fire pit is the icing on the cake! We have stayed here multiple times and every visit has been delightful. We had some unexpected cool temperatures and rain this time and Jo Shannon provided us with blankets to keep warm at the outdoor concert and even offered sweaters and jackets! The hosts embody southern hospitality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Hartnett Cottage far exceeded any expectations I had prior to arrival! I came to Oxford for a parent event at Ole Miss and this was exactly the retreat I needed at the end of each day! Our hosts were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and stress-free during my stay! This level of professionalism and authentic care and concern for your guests is too rare these days; Jo Shannon has it down to a science! Additionally, the cottage was immaculately clean and well appointed. I will definitely be returning on future trips!

It would be difficult to say which is lovelier - the hosts or the cottage itself! The hosts were - from the first contact to the last - friendly, gracious, generous, and accomodating. Jo Shannon went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome, and that we had everything we needed - or wanted - to make our extended stay comfortable and restful. The cottage itself is beautiful (even prettier than the photographs), well-appointed, comfortable, and in a lovely spot. The cottage was spotless, and the king bed's mattress very comfortable. The location was perfect for us: walkable to the lively square, a short drive to the Ole Miss campus and other parts of Oxford, and on a pretty, quiet residential street. We were sorry to leave, and ready to begin planning a return to Hart Cottage!

Hart Cottage is THE place to stay in Oxford. We had studied the photos and descriptions of the cottage, but upon arrival realized the pics do not do this property justice. Exceeded all expectations. From fresh flowers to first class linens to music on Google Assistant to the solostove firepit to extra toiletries - every amenity is thoughtfully and graciously provided. And as other reviewers have mentioned, you come as guests and leave as friends! Was the best VRBO experience we have had.

Our stay at this rental was outstanding! We were excited based on the pictures and description of the property, and we can truly say it exceeded our expectation all around! All you need with an extra special touch, the owners have thought of everything to make sure their guests feel welcomed and comfortable! And the location to downtown and university facilities was icing on the cake! We loved this rental and our visit. Will definitely book it again on our next trip to Oxford!

This is a slice of heaven in Oxford! I don’t know where to begin.. everything. Everything was even better than I imagined. From the home being absolutely stunning and cozy to the homeowners being one the most welcoming and gracious homeowners we have ever rented from. Special Easter cookies awaited my daughter as we arrived that surprised her and made her feel so special. Our soccer tournament weekend was filled with happy memories and we are thankful we found this house!

Everything is superb! The property is finely appointed and decorated. It is clean as a whistle! The owners are perhaps the most thoughtful hosts we have had the pleasure of being hosted by. They are truly remarkable people and hosts. We didn’t know them until we stayed at the property but feel as if we have known them for a lifetime, which began through a very natural conversation that we had while sitting on their tranquil porch. This is what every VRBO strives to be...luxurious accommodations, attention to detail, responsive host, seamless check-in. This was our second time staying in the Hart cottage. Everything was 1st class from start to departure. Jo Shannon, the host went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and secured a cake for my daughter’s 19th birthday form a local bakery. Everything you forgot to bring Jo Shannon had it available! Coffee, shampoo, creamer, water, etc. Bed was so comfortable and linens were 1st class. There is a resson they call it “southern hospitality” and Jo Shannon is all that and more!💗 We will be back!
