About this cottage rental

Situated at the end of a quiet close, The Arches Holiday Haven self catering house is ideally placed for a family holiday, or several couples looking for somewhere for a convivial week or two away in Port Erin, Isle of Man.

The house was built recently to exacting specifications and design to make it an ideal base to explore the beautiful location and spend evenings, whether summer or winter, around the state of the art open gas fire, or in the south-facing garden.

Four bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, a family bathroom with spa bath, a large and exceptionally well equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge make The Arches self catering house a special place to relax. Ample parking is available, but the central location of the property means you may not even require it!

Bedroom 2: Twin beds that can be configured as either a Twin or Super-King size double bed, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, wardrobe

Family Bathroom: Wetroom on first floor, with shower, WC and wash hand basin with vanity unit.

Parking: Space for 2 vehicles on the driveway, with additional easy on street parking.

Changeover Day: Flexible - arrival 4:00pm - departure 10:00am

Damage: Important! We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we now take a £35 fee from each booking as a damage waiver. This is included in the price you pay and covers you for up to £500 worth of accidental damages to the property that could occur whilst you are staying.

We enjoyed our stay at this house but it didn't justify its 5* rating. In general its condition was below par for this rating. The tap in the upstairs ensuite basin flooded the floor rather than the basin. Lots of the downlighters didn't work. The WC in the upstairs ensuite developed a fault (which you quickly dealt with, thank you), but your maintenance man was familiar with it so clearly it has a "history". And the kitchen wasn't well equipped: there was no teapot and no microwaveable utensils (we bought and contributed a teapot, to which you and subsequent guests are welcome). The main TV wasn't "smart" so we had to watch iPlayer things by camping in the bedroom.

The property was highly specified and well suited to our needs. Really liked Port Eric as a location with easy access to the steam railway, local shops and the beach. Also enjoyed some of the local walks.

This house is well equipped, clean and well situated in Port Erin with everything you need close at hand. This is the second time me have stayed here and I would fully recommend this house for your stay in the IOM.

This property was ideal for our requirements for a family celebration weekend. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were great for my elderly mother and the spacious kitchen and sun trap back garden were great for sharing meals and fun. I have raised a few issues which can be easily rectified and would thoroughly recommend this property in gorgeous Port Erin.

Plenty of space, very clean, loved the fireplace, great kitchen, comfy beds and good showers. Easy walk to food and beach and easy drive to the sites we wanted to see. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was very modern, spacious and completed to a high specification. It was very comfortable and in a great location. The only minor quibbles were that the WiFi signal was a bit unreliable and kept dropping out, and accessing the key from the key safe holder outside the property was a little bit fiddly once you put the combination in. But other than that, highly recommended. There was also milk, bread, cheese butter, coffee and tea in the property upon arrival, which was very welcome.

This is a well situated and well equipped modern house close to all amenities. The beach is close by. The house was perfect for our extended family stay. Plenty of space and perfect for 6 adults and two children. Room for personal space and family time. It is nicely furnished and immaculately clean. Would highly recommend it!
