All was perfect.

It was my first experiment at the hostel. And it was amazing, I haven't met such nice staff. This hostel is better than some hotels, it was very stylish, cozy and clean. In the guest room I met many travelers, had a very good time. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart.

Zufrieden und zweckmässig

Nah am badischen Bahnhof. Sehr modern und sauber

Kein Kaffee vor 7 Uhr. Konnte kein Frühstück bekommen obschon inkl. Da um 5 Uhr morgens Abreise. Wäre ja nicht schwierig ein Kaffeeautomat und vielleicht ein Sandwich zum mitnehmen

Ich war sehr zufrieden.

Sauberkeit ist trotz geteilten Duschen und Toiletten sehr gut. Ich habe tolle Menschen kennengelernt.

Das Kissen finde ich persönlich zu klein. Das Frühstück war ein bisschen mikrig. Es wäre schön, wenn der gemeinsame Saal auch am Sonntag und am Montag länger geöffnet wäre. Zudem finde ich, dass man sich in einem shared room unbedingt gegenseitig grüssen sollte. Vielleicht kann man diese Info für nicht normalsterbliche Gäste noch irgendwo hinzufügen?! :) Packt eure Ohrenpax mit ein, falls ihr euch gewohnt seid, alleine zu schlafen.

Gut für ein Wochenende in Basel

Sehr aufmerksames und hilfsbereites Personal (Danke an Freddie). Das Industrie Design des Hostels. Die gratis Basel Card! Das Frühstück ist sehr spartanisch, aber auch sehr gut. Leider ist nur ein Heißgetränk pro Gast inkludiert.

Die Lage ist eher suboptimal - zwar nah am Bahnhof Basel Bad, aber direkt vor der Tür sind Autobahnzubringer und sonstige Straßen (Entfernung vom Bahnhof Basel SBB ca 15 Minuten mit dem Bus). Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer zur Straße - da die Fenster aber eh nicht geöffnet werden konnten, war der Geräuschpegel eher gering. Das Badezimmer war ziemlich kühl, es gibt keine Heizung.

loved every minute because of staff and i’m booking again for 3 more days in December!!!!

The staff was amazing and i’m coming back just for that! warm, friendly, helpful especially Michael, Manager, he made it easy to understand the hostel system and how Basel City really works. best for me

The Silo aspect was a bit too sterile for me and awkward to get to. but it is a silo. Basel is also expensive! so Silo helped manage my budget but still expensive!

Accueil catastrophique mais la suite c est bien passé

Très surpris de trouver ma chambre… un dortoir! Passé ce moment de surprise il faut reconnaître que l hôtel est très bien conçu. Chambres spacieuses et très propres.

Accueil un peu spartiate! Et du genre, on est pas à votre disposition. Pour l enregistrement débrouillez vous avec l écran ! Ayant beaucoup voyagé, ce n est pas à quoi je m attendais comme bien venue!

Nice hostel in Basel

Concrete interior construction kept it comfortable and quiet. Large rooms, clean. Excellent ladders into that top bunks. Very friendly staff.

A few minor comments, nothing major. Not a particularly social hostel, although the staff was super friendly. Only USB-A plus in the beds, so no way to fast charge USB-C PD devices or use a laptop.

I would stay here again. Very cool hotel and 2 bus stops within walking distance

Check in was a breeze and we arrived a few hours early but they were able to have our room ready within 1/2 hr. The staff was extremely helpful in answering questions about how to get around the city. The private bathroom was large. The interior of the building still has the look of the silo feeds which was neat to see.

Our rate didn’t include the breakfast. That was 14,00 per person but there really wasn’t much of anything to choose from. I know as Americans we have large breakfasts so we were not expecting that. There were 3 cheeses, bread (croissants were extra) jelly, plain yogurt and granola, 1 cup of coffee (soda was extra) fresh whole veggies (hummus was extra) and whole fruit. Nutella, dried fruits and waffles were extra, no meats. I didn’t think it was worth the 32,00. We went to the train station to leave after that and saw better options at less cost. It’s my understand that the new rates include the breakfast but I booked mine in Jan so just know if you also booked before June, you may experience this too.

extremely disappointing and not value for money as no service. no one around to give guidance. no Resturant

design however no service. self service check in. when you leave a message, no one gets back to you with a reply. has lots of potential. no kitchen to cook food. Restaurant closed in the evening. no social hub to meet other travellers.

Beautiful architecture for a short stay.

Very nice architecture. I took a private room and that quite convenient. Friendly staff.

The breakfast was included (thanks to the booking), so I was happy I hadn't paid extra because it was a bit underwhelming considering the normal price. Something SILO can't help but the parking garage closeby was way more expensive than expected based on the info I found online. Almost 50 euros for less than 24 hours parking (I left my car there in the morning on the day I arrived).

Nice boutique hostel - unhelpful when locked out

Clean boutique hostel

BEWARE - check-in/out Key card access absolutely fine (which you get during the stay) but before check-in and after check-out this is the tricky situation. One of the other guests nearly missed their train/flight Front door was locked (hostel states locked after 6pm but it was only 4pm) and there is no way to get in Hostel doesn’t have whatsapp so was really hard for an international traveller such as myself to contact them - they didn’t respond via chat on Booking.com Another girl tried to call them but they stated their passcode works when it didn’t (myself and other guests tried) We had to tailgate some people after 15mins wait We let the staff know about the incorrect code - didn’t say they would fix it, offered no apology for locking us out

The breakfast was fine for the price. The building architecture is beautiful, using an old cacao warehouse. Easy to reach.

One day there was no TP, nor hand paper towels in the bathroom. The water in the shower was not draining, you must wait. The dinner was quite expensive.

Very good

The hostel is in outside of the center but you can go to center and main places thanks to swiss transport system. there is a bus station in front of the hostel and keep on with tram then you are in center. self check in. You dont need anyone Very clean ladies and men are seperated like toilets wc showers. Very silent hostel. they give you basel card freely which you can use every transport system in basel.

padlock isnt included to the hostel fee. They rent for 1 chf. and not cheap according to hostel .

Good place

Overall It's nice, the female dorms are quite safe so good point on that, it's located right next to the bus stop and to a big supermarket, which is great. A few restaurants close-by but better to eat at city center if you're on a budget. There is a restaurant and they allow you to bring your own. Which is a good thing. Its really self led and electronic so it's good.

There is no kitchen or a longe area . I personally did not think the restaurant was somewhat appropriated for a hostel traveller. Usually hostels are more for backpackers and budget travellers. It was not bad just it was more affordable to eat out as there was more options to accomodate dietary restrictions. Apart from that, it's nice and the staff are lovely.
