Quality/price was good. Very quiet and just a few visitors. Something like one worker for one visitor. Yango taxis worked well.
Power was often off. Generator worked sertain times. When I needed more power I paid the gasoline by myself.
Keep small money in cash. Nobody doesn't have change to give you back.

The place is well managed, very clean and good value for money. Staff is friendly and helpful.
The place is ideal if you use a car.

The location was a bit far from Lusaka downtown but in walking distance to two malls. Apart from an Indian restaurant there was only a KCB. The Escape Lodge is a spacious guesthouse with a small swimming pool. Rooms were proper and clean. Staff was friendly.
Without a car the Escape Lodge is not easy to reach.

I like the cleaning ladies very nice and clean even though it takes hour and a half to your room but they were the best Thanks Housekeepers
I didn’t like the roaches or the broken bed or the 4 tv channels or the fact you have to pay to use the microwave or I didn’t like the fact you can’t wear T shirt in the pool and I didn’t like the fact they allow people from outside come to the pool and they didn’t even have a room booked and I didn’t like same breakfast every day I don’t know why they called it escaped because the only thing escaped is your money because even if you try to leave a day early they won’t return you the money so basically I paid for the roaches a free night stay hope they enjoyed it. The staff are very welcoming respectiful and polite.
The rooms were very clean and worthy the price
I was allowed late checkout
The WiFi coverage especially at the pool was low, but by the time I checked out, a new wireless router was being installed. I hope it will serve that side.

Quality room at a budget price. This was my second visit.
Not everyone will be comfortable moving around Lusaka independently - so if you are visiting the country, get a SIM card at the airport, and download (and register with) the two local Taxi apps (Ulendo and Zamcab) - they worked perfectly for me.

The only saving grace to this Lodge are the staff, who are very attentive and wish to do a good job despite lack of direction and sufficient training from the new management. The staff made my stay bearable.
My first room had to be changed as it was not to standard and had various defects that I addressed with the management. My second room also was not as expected example went to run a bath and tap handle came off in my hand, this was shown to the manager but never fixed during my 4 day stay.
The management has zero attention to detail, he tries to talk the talk but doesn't walk the walk and follow through what he says.
It's a shame as the lodge has a lot of potential and could be a very successful business, but it is being dragged back by lack of standards, advertising things available that are not there or on offer to guests, and a lack of leadership. I feel sorry for the staff who in the whole want to do a great job but have no support.
