We had a wonderful stay for the week for a last minute family vacation! Everything was very clean and the deck/porch was wonderful! We enjoyed starting our mornings on it and dinner every night! We enjoyed staying on the quiet side of Door County and it was 5 minutes from Cave Point and Whitefish Dunes State Park and a 15 minute drive or so to Fish Creek. We would definitely stay here again! The house is built above the garage so there are a number of steps to be aware of if you have difficulty. There was also a nice fire pit but it was the hottest week of the summer when we visited so we passed. Thank you for a great place to stay!

My sister & her daughters, & me and my daughters all went to Door County for our first girls weekend! We had a wonderful time , & great place to stay. The house itself had plenty of room in the open concept kitchen, living room area, & the bedrooms were spacious; especially the master bedroom, with its own bathroom! And outside, we had a nice fireplace to use, & plenty of room to play some outdoor games.

The property was very clean and hosts welcoming! We enjoyed the site as it had everything we needed for our trip. The location was quiet, close to water options and not far of a drive to get to any activity you wanted.

Neat, comfortable 2nd story space. It IS secluded but several state and county parks nearby. Take into account that there are 21 stairs leading up to the living space (only reason I didn’t rate the place “5”). Owner/manager very accessible.
We enjoyed the deck for having cocktails and snacks and looking at the stars.

Exceptionally clean, adequate starter supply, great set-up. The 20 steps were a bit much with coolers and luggage but certainly doable. Friendly neighborhood, bars and restaurants. great night salmon fishing!

The property was very clean and quiet. Be prepared to climb up a steep 20 step stairway to a large living room and kitchen area. A large patio door leads to the large deck. Nice view of trees and nature while enjoying a snack, cocktails or meal. The two overhead fans are a nice touch, although I would have enjoyed a lounge chair. The kitchen appliances are newer, though no dishwasher. Using Paper plates helped out. The beds were comfy although I’m bring My Pillow next time. There’s a nice fire pit area off to the side in the front yard. I would gladly stay in the cottage near the lake again!

6 adults and 1 toddler stayed for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. We had a great stay. The place was as described in listing and was beautiful in person. The patio was so relaxing and provided an excellent outdoor space. The only surprises we had were - an open staircase into the living area, although a child gate was provide -the property is maintained by a holding tank which made us a little nervous when the 1st alarm went off the morning after we arrived, but we didn’t have any issues with it and Laurie was quick to respond when we texted her about it. Communication with Laurie was great. We did meet the owner and he was super friendly. We had a great stay and really enjoyed the proximity to Whitefish Dunes State Park.

We loved staying here! My mom's favorite place in Door County is Cave Point, and being just two minutes from it was incredible. And everything else we wanted to do was just a short drive away. This place was perfect for us in every way, though we were glad we brought our own pillows, lol.

We really loved this VRBO. The property managers were very responsive and everything was better than described. They even left a complimentary bottle of wine at check in. We had three couples (six adults) and a toddler. The master closet was so big that we used it as a ‘room’ for the toddler and that worked perfectly for us. The location is almost 20 minutes from everything and perfect!

Both the inside and the outside of this cottage were beautiful. Definitely a luxury feel to this place on the quiet side of Door County. It is relaxing and peaceful with the owners clearly taking into account every details for a comfortable stay. 3 big and comfortable bedrooms, 2 beautiful baths you wouldn't expect to find in a vacation rental and plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. We will be making this our Door County destination from now on. Close enough to everything the Peninsula has to offer but located where all you hear in the morning is the birds.

What a home!!
I can honestly say that I have never been in a nicer vacation home, EVER! The pictures, for once, actually matched the home. I just wished we had access to Lake Clark which you could see from the house. The public access a few miles away was always crowded. All in all, we will be coming back!!!

The "neatest" VRBO I've ever stayed at!
We were very impressed with the cleanliness, furnishings, beautiful wood throughout the house - floor, cabinets, furniture-
and the well equipped kitchen, counters and appliances. We were awed the second we reached the top of the stairs at what we saw! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and we so enjoyed and admired his story of how this came to be built. He said as long as he decided to build it, it would be the best it could be!

Good experience
The main area inside actually looked better than the picture. The 21 steps up to reach the living area were a surprise, but we navigated them all right. There was plenty of room for air mattresses for two kids. We were fortunate to be able to borrow the air mattresses from relatives as the property doesn’t have any. All in all it worked well for us.

Relaxing, serene setting in a well-appointed home!
What a great experience staying in this home. After activities during they day, we looked forward to returning "home" for the evening to enjoy our accommodations. All supplies we needed were on-site and the home felt clean and welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again.

anniversary trip
Came to Door County to celebrate our anniversary and brought some good friends with us. The place was just as described and shown in the pictures. We loved it, had a great time exploring Door County during the day and then came back each evening to the privacy and beauty of the area. Would highly recommend.

Great Location!
Such a nice property and location. So close to state and county parks and ultra quiet even though it was Labor Day weekend. Easy drive up the peninsula to anywhere we were headed. Loved having use of the garage, nice added perk. Would really love some window coverings to offer a bit more privacy, but other than that it was perfect!!

Long weekend getaway
Very nice and clean house. All as described. We really enjoyed our stay in this perfect location for Door County exploration. The only negative remark I have is the high stairs we needed to climb going into the house. So be sure you are up for it! :)

Excellent location!
We enjoyed our stay at the Trail’s End Cottage. Check-in was easy, the house was clean and well-stocked. One thing to note: if you have any difficulties with mobility, this property is NOT accessible. The steps up to the living space from the entry are very steep and there are a lot of them. Our parents traveled with us, and while they managed it, the steps were difficult for them. The beds and pillows were on the firm side, but any negatives were easily made up for with the location. Whitefish Dunes and Cave Point were favorites of ours and just a short drive away. Easy access to anywhere else on the Peninsula you may want to visit. It was nice to come back after a day exploring and cook dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, relax on the large deck, or unwind with a movie on the large TV.

Overall good
Good experience overall. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 2 bathrooms for 4 nights. Definitely not adequate.

Leipzig
Property was acceptable, clean and quiet. No public access to any waterfront from property, (which was disappointing), but a close drive to many sites and activities. Out side and porch privacy was difficult as the next door house had numerous occupants staying in house and outside in tents.

Great property, no privacy
The house was clean, amenities were great. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to feel relaxed when the property manager is watching your every move on a security camera. Our group was chastised for having 4 cars in the driveway, so plan accordingly. And don’t plan on having any visitors. With plenty of other properties in the area it might not be worth it…

Perfect for our family - quiet, spacious, safe, and comfortable. The kitchen was great! Close to Cave Point, Jacksonport, and Bailey's Harbor.

This property was very clean and spacious for our family of 5. Kids enjoyed their rooms and the kitchen had a lot of space for eating. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Laurie was very easy to work with during the booking process and reached out to us during our stay to see if we needed anything.
