Stayed at several properties in Newport. This one was disappointing.

Location was great. Valet folks very professional and helpful.

Property stated had lounge-restaurant, but did not state those facilities were not actually available to guests at all times. Those facilities appeared to be separate entities, not actually part of the hotel property. Room was extremely small, very confining.

Can't beat the location and friendly staff

The staff was excellent. Warm and helpful. The front desk manager gave us an upgraded room free of charge. That never happens to us! The hotel is right in the center of Newport and you can walk to everything which is convenient. The room and the whole hotel was nicely decorated and spacious.

There's no bar or restaurant onsite. Although there is one on the other side of the hotel it runs independent from the hotel so you can't bring drinks up to your room or order any room service. This would've been an extra bonus.

We always enjoy ourselves in Newport, a great spot for food music and of course the wonderful cliff walk!!!

It’s a perfect location, classy clean, and the staff are exceptionally nice especially John at the front desk!!!

The prices in peak season are a little high. We tend to go off-season when they are much more reasonable.

disappointing!

location is fantastic!

we had a Superior king water view . The room was small there is NO real bathroom or closet. A tiny area with a toilet ,shower no area to dry off & apocket door that was difficult to use with nails! they offered 5 hangers and a tiny shelf. The only place to put clothes away was under the bed or on top of side day bed. The walls are thin and the air conditioner made a loud bang every time it turned on. The view was great and the bed was comfortable & clean.

Nice, but pricey for what you get!

The location of this hotel makes it the perfect place to stay in Newport. The rooms were extremely clean and also very quiet. We had some bad experiences in the past with other Newport hotels and 4am deliveries, road noises, etc. but our room faced the courtyard so it was extremely quiet.

I understand why many of the reviews expressed issues with the minimalist design and layout of the rooms. Especially for the price! The toilet/shower area is very small and you couldn't even spread your arms out fully. If you are a larger person, this might be a problem. This was a "staycation" for us, so we only stayed one night and had one small bag, but I can see how this would room would become claustrophobic after a few days. The $30 parking fee was very steep so we decided to park blocks away in a free lot and hoof it with the bag. Not sure they should be charging that amount, especially since the room rate is relatively high...but it's Newport so high prices are expected I guess.

Superb

Location was amazing to explore Newport. Staff was friendly. I appreciated the environmentally friendly touches, like refillable water bottles. Attractive decor. I would stay here again.

The only negative, there isn't a lot of storage if you are someone that travels with a lot of clothes. Not a deal breaker for me.

We should have been told about the very limited amenities the Hotel offered before we booked the roo

The staff were very nice, The place was very clean.

No restaurant, no breakfast, no tea, no coffee or even water offered in the hotel. No bar in the hotel. Very disappointed over all.

We enjoyed our stay very much and dining at the fine Italian restaurant Giusto’s located at the hotel.

Beautiful location overlooking the harbor. Walking distance to restaurants and stores in downtown Newport. Very clean, well appointed rooms. Friendly staff.

No coffee maker in the room or coffee in the lobby except for the morning. No continental breakfast.

the rooms were clean - the entire building was beautiful

for the very high price you had to may extra for parking per day which they did not tell you in advance. and also for the high price they have no breakfast.

Clean room. On the smaller side but really efficient use of space.

You can hear people above you walking around, etc. Wasn't expecting that which was not the best. When checking out, I asked that my bill be just emailed to me - there was a typo in the address it was sent to so some random person received my bill as well.
