This property is the perfect place for a couple to get away. Not too far from essentials such as grocery store and fun but far enough away fro main roads that your stay is not interrupted by traffic and noise from neighbors. We had a great time and were able relax

It was a cozy little place. Not a lot of water in the river and that was a let down (but who can control nature). Overall a good little getaway.

We were in Wimberley for the weekend to visit our daughter so we didn’t spend a lot of time at the location. It’s not fancy but the bed was good, bathroom was nice size (walk-in shower, no tub, but we were fine with that), air conditioner was maybe a little loud but it worked. Small kitchen but all we used was the mini fridge and sink. Finding the drive to the cottage was a little tricky and the link sent was helpful. Gates are necessary in Texas so just be aware that there is an open/close process.

The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The property grounds are in need of extensive maintenance. The cabin is not creek side as you can not see any creek unless you go around the residence home.

Rode in for the Houston area for a hill country ride over weekend. Very nice cozy cottage for couples. Only two issue's, one was the location of the TV. Second, cheapest toilet paper I’ve ever used. Bring your own. Other than that. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent and super cute! Perfect for my wife and I on her birthday 🎂 weekend! We will definitely stay here in the future. I would say it’s a bit of a drive getting to the cottage. But worth it if your looking for peace and quite. Also, clean too!

The cottage was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Joyce, the property owner, was friendly and accommodating. The pretty clear running river was just out back of the cottage and was ideal for wading. Beautiful scenery along the river. This did not bother us, but there is no internet service provided with the cottage.

This little cottage was perfect! We loved the location. The owner was so sweet and easy to communicate with. This a good place for two people to comfortably relax. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were exactly as listed. We would stay again!

I just needed a place to stay close to the Wimberley baseball fields for my son’s tournament. The inside was super cute, clean and perfect for what I wanted. The outside is a little tighter than I expected. There is a garage loft for rent, the tiny house (bandits hideout), then the owners house all very close together. The river is just beyond the owners house. Not a lot of privacy to sit outside and relax unless you go down to the river bank. Jacobs Well is within a 15 min drive and worth the trip. The Wimberley Square, Blue Hole and Cypress Springs are all within 15 min drive as well. The owner is very sweet and accommodating and definitely gives you your space. I only saw her when I drove up to the house to ‘check in’ and when I was loading up to leave. I very much enjoyed my stay and wish I had a couple extra days.

it did not feel very private as it is ON a thru road. sitting outside in the evening was not exactly quiet. i found it peaceful to be outside 5-9am on sunday morning. the cabins are a relatively new build with lovely finishes. very small. the ac unit is above the head of the bed & blows directly down.

My daughter and I spent 2 nights in the cottage, and it was the perfect size for the two of us. We walked down to the river and saw several deer, very nice and peaceful. The cabin was nicely decorated and clean. Great trip. Hope to go again.

Perfect small cottage for couple

We love Wimberley and knew this was an area we wanted to stay in. So great to be able to walk right out and sit in the Blanco all afternoon. Chairs were provided which made it even easier for a quick getaway. This simple small cottage was perfect for the two of us and it was nice to be able to make coffee in the kitchen each morning. The owner greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly.

We had a great stay and Joyce was always available to answer any questions we had. It was below freezing when we checked in, and Joyce had the heater on and everything perfect for us when we arrived. Definitely recommend staying here.

The photos how a lovely patio area with grill. In reality the chairs are broken and dirty, without cushions as shown in the photos, and there are two grills, both equally dirty and dilapidated. The patio and surrounding area are unkempt and weedy. The "deck" area overlooking the "river" had 4 or 5 mostly broken chairs, some of them turned over on their sides, and in reality overlooked a rocky, scrubby expanse, about 30 yards, leading to the river, which was about 2 inches deep and without any shade. The outdoor sitting area overlooking the river was dirty and shabby. In addition, the cottage is very close to 2 neighboring residences, the patio of one of which faced the cottage front door, and was full of broken pots and random stuff. The A/C unit was very noisy, and the refrigerator had no freezer, necessitating hauling bags of ice to the property from town a few miles away. Inside the cottage was spotless and comfortable, aside from the ice issue and the A/C; also there was a stove but no cookie sheet or even tin foil to allow warming of food in the oven.

The property was perfect for a quick weekend getaway for 2. The bedding was fresh and clean, and the bed itself was large and comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for storing weekend snacks/drinks. A few cobwebs in the bathroom under the chair and in the drawers, but no big deal. Parking was easy and sitting outside was peaceful. The water level was low so that was a bit of a bummer but out of anyone’s control. We were still able to relax in it upon arrival. The town is a quick 5-10min drive. Joyce was very pleasant to speak to. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed a long weekend for my Birthday, Joyce our hostess was so friendly and nice and helpful!! Being it was her bday this weekend too, her family even brought us over acouple pieces of her delicious cake. So thoughtful! We spent 2 full days in the river a very short walk away. We willbe coming back again!! Thelittle cottege is clean, well stocked and so cute inside..Thanks again Joyce for having us!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Wimberley visit and stay at this adorable cottage! It was clean, cute and perfect for two! A short walk down to the river for an enjoyable, peaceful, relaxing time chillin in the river, sipping cold beverages and listening to tunes! We also went into town to the market, shops and local restaurants and had a great time! Wimberley is a great, small artistic town and this cottage is a cherry on top!

Clean, but property is very small and owner is onsite. There was another family staying right next to us on the same site too. Not much parking at all. Nice cottage though, friendly owner, and pretty river access.

The owner is excellent, the interior is very clean. But the cottage is sandwiched between the owner's house and another rental. You have to walk around the owners home to get to the river. The photos of the outdoor firepit area and covered seating area do NOT look like that in person. There is an unsightly blue tarp covering up something right next to fire pit where the chairs are turned over onto the firepit. Was I supposed to set it up in order to use it? As well as the covered seating area was a mess and there was a broken tree blocking the pathway to the river and Watermelon slices chucked on the ground next to the pathway. The umbrella on the patio table is ripped and very worn, there were not cushions on the chairs as pictured. As well as plastic pots scattered all over the yard. If you are coming here to just stay inside, then great, this is the place for you. BUT we chose this place because it was ON the river with a great place to cookout and seemed to be "private" from the listing photos. Not the case. It is a small compound of homes where you are ten to 15 feet away from the next home and you are in the center. Very disappointed with the exterior space and privacy. Also, the TV volume cuts on and off depending on the channel you are watching and it does not accept an SD card, so I'm not sure how you are supposed to "snuggle up and watch a movie" together as the listing states. And it definitely isn't a smart TV where you could log in to your Netflix, Hulu, disney+, etc. I guess you are supposed to just watch one of the ten channels with commercials like it's 1985.
