Krasne místo u řeky. Stylová chata, pravá Amerika! Vybavení trochu starší, ale vše čisté, funkční. Moc se nám tam líbilo.

No breakfast, Located right across the street from the river on a quiet street.
It was difficult to find as there was no real checking. Had to call to get entrance code to room. Never saw owners.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Inn is perfectly located across the street from a park and the Kern River which you can (almost) see from the front porch. It’s easy walking distance to numerous cafes and restaurants. The room (#5) is good sized, with just about everything you need. It’s not super modern and the internet TV was a little glitchy, but it was very comfortable and exactly what we wanted after a day of rafting.

Lovely room with a super comfy bed, a sofa and nice bathroom with two basins. There's decking outside the apartment, beyond that is a quiet road then there's the beautiful Kern river, with a path and picnic benches along its banks. Nearby there are some restaurants (that close early), a pizza place and a nice place that serves nice breakfast and lunches called Big Blue Bear. It's a pleasant, quiet, sleepy town of mostly wooden buildings. This would have been a nice place to stay for another day or so. There are some hiking trails nearby (go to the ranger's station for help and ideas). The Sherman Pass lookout is about an hour's drive away and well worth a drive at sunrise and a hike to Sherman Peak.
Outdoor seats a bit broken, not so comfy to sit on for too long which is a shame as it would have been really pleasant.

Love the location walking distance to a lot of restaurants. There is parking in front of the room, no need to look for one, especially because the river is right in front and during the day it gets full. Very cozy room, love the vintages moldings and it was really clean room.
The only thing I didn't like was the thin walls, or maybe because I am a light sleeper and have really good hearing doesn't help me, but the neighbors woke up early I can hear their conversation at 4am.. but this is not a reason why I would book there again.. I will just buy ear plugs..

We were right across the street from the river. There are some eateries very close by.
The only windows are the entry double doors (glass). There are curtains to cover them but can leave your items exposed when going out.

The location is great. Breakfast wasn't available there
It needs a small stool to sit on in the bathroom while putting on shoes and drying off after a shower.

I was very pleased with my stay in Kernville! My friends and I went on a hot spring adventure, and this was the closest town, and didn't have many options left for rooms. We booked this one after seeing it online bc it had enough room for 3 guests since it had a futon. It was very quaint, came with a fridge, and coffee maker. I liked the fireplace (also the electric heater) made it look homey. The bathroom even had an overhead heater so it was great coming out of the shower and standing under the heat. It's an old cabin, maybe even manufactured home that has been split up, but i'm from upstate, NY where all the houses are old so it felt normal to me, but my city friends were a bit surprised, lol! Loved that I just had a gate code and we had lil interaction with the employees! We got in kinda late and left early in the morning, so it was great to have that freedom of an airbnb but with a hotel. We had a nice lil porch with a picnic table and a grill. I bet this place is amazing in the summer time as it overlooks the Kern river!
Was a little confused coming in. It was so dark out we could barely see the sign for which house it was and almost walked into the other house, but we were quick to figure it all out.

Breakfast was not included but the suite was amazing. The furniture was beyond comfortable, the location was perfect, such a cozy get away. Wish the kitchen had a few extra items to make cooking in reasonably easier. There was no propane for the bbq so made things a little difficult when trying to have a surf n turf romantic Valentines Day meal. But I am already looking for our next date to rent.
Bbq needed propane.

We have an entire house to ourselves! love how cosy the suite is and we can park the car directly in front of our gate. Everything was beautifully furnished and the heaters worked well. The staff prepared a lovely set up for our honeymoon and it was the highlight of our stay :)

Nice porch to sit and enjoy the warm evening.
It’s a bit difficult to find the right door. By the time we arrived around 7 pm, there was no-one in the “office”, we had to call and ask for directions. The lady on the phone was very friendly and explained everything though.

Nice location, unique stay. Quiet little town. Walk along water was very nice.
Room was a little warm upon our arrival, but with temps in the 100's anything below was refreshing.
