Ungewöhnlicher Aufenthalt in viktorianischer Villa

Bei bestem sonnigen Wetter in einem ungewöhnlichen Haus (viktorianische Villa von 1780) mit einer sehr netter Besitzerin. Das denkmalgeschützte Haus instandzusetzen und zu halten ist eine Jahrhundertaufgabe in dieser Villa am Rand von Coventry. Dort zu wohnen fühlt sich trotz dieser noch sichtbaren Aufgaben toll an. Alles sauber, Frühstücksbuffet, gut gelegen, eigener Parkplatz, schönes Zimmer.

Kleinigkeiten, die wohl dem Alter des Hauses geschuldet sind - wegen der tollen Atmosphäre für uns unwichtig

Great value and location

Great location and beautiful old house with plenty of free parking. Copious amounts of tea/coffee available and all amenities you need. Simple and plentiful help yourself breakfast. Warm and clean.

Pillows were very hard.

Country House built in 1700's

This historic country house set within fabulous scenic countryside is currently undergoing renovation, but will look fantastic when completed.. Bedroom is in keeping with the age of the property. Lovely comfortable bed and duvet. There's plenty of parking. The owner Regina is lovely. She really puts herself put to make you feel at home. Plenty of choice with the continental breakfast. However, I would have preferred a cooked breakfast.

Agradable y acogedor lugar

Lo que más nos gustó del alojamiento fue la cercanía y flexibilidad con la que Regina nos atendió, viajamos desde Chile con nuestro gato y la estadía fue placentera luego de un largo viaje. Siempre fueron muy respetuosos con la privacidad de la habitación, especialmente considerando que estábamos viajando con nuestra mascota. Creemos relevante destacar la amabilidad en el trato de Regina y su buena disposición ante nuestras consultas e inquieteudes. Sin lugar a dudas es un gran lugar para alojarse, especialmente porque está bastante cerca del centro de la ciudad de Coventry.

FABULOUS!

What can we say, Counden Lodge felt like a home from home! The setting is idyllic yet so close to everything in Coventry and so close to Birmingham Airport. Regina and Brian made us feel like part of their family. The donkey and Tommy are amazing hosts also! We stayed for 10 nights as we had a family event near by. Coming back every evening was a treat, honestly cannot say enough good things about this establishment. We will be back again and again!

Lovely, quiet and peaceful!

Staff very helpful. I asked if they could order me a taxi and instead, they drove me to my destination which exceeded my expectations.

N/A although it would have been nice if breakfast had been available, something that I understand will be happening soon.

Great potential and we would use again when in the area.

Really lovely house - obviously a 'work in progress' which will be fantastic when it is finished. Access to shared kitchen, which was not used much when we were there, so no problems at all. Really friendly welcome. The grounds are superb and we managed to do a walk locally. We were there to go to Holbrooks parkrun and it was an easy drive from there.

People did not wash up after they had used crockery - so we had to wash things before using.

Lovely house, room clean and comfortable. Tom was friendly and helpful - very welcoming. Loved the donkey 😊 It will be fab once the renovation is complete Excellent location

Hidden gem with super comfy beds, views and donkey!

The beds were extremely comfortable and Regina was a wondeful host. The house was a hidden gem set in lovely grounds and we loved the donkey!

The house was a bit tired (the upkeep must be astronomical!) but didn’t detract from our stay

Perfect stay

The host was absolutely amazing. Such a pleasant lady and nothing was to much trouble for her. Me and my friend booked to stay here to go to a festival. Once we was ready the lady dropped us down to where we was going. Unfortunately we misplaced the key and has to call her to help us out within minutes she was there and happy to help us. Absolutely 100% worth the money not only are the bedrooms and view lovely the host is amazing. Will definitely be coming back here again. Thank you so much 😁 P.s the donkey is soooo cute

Exceptional

Beautiful place in the countryside, saw loads of dragonflies around the pond in the garden, but walked back from the city centre in about 45 minutes! Regina was so helpful and friendly, even giving us a lift into town. So many facilities for guests, including a well equipped kitchen, so you could keep things in the fridge, and prepare yourself a banquet if you felt so inclined.

Hard to think of anything I didn't like! Maybe the early wake up courtesy of the birds, but they were so cute to watch...jackdaws, moorhens, magpies all with young fledglings.

Lovely location. Clean and tidy with friendly owner.

We chose a room with a private bathroom/en-suite which happened to be right next to the kitchen so it was a little noisy from around 6am. Would definitely stay here again but try for a different room.

Great location to the NEC, 15 minutes drive only at a very reasonable price.

Apartment on the top floor is spacious and good value for money. fantastic views and nice gardens. No problem with parking. Host is very friendly and dropped us off at the pub a few miles away. Great service.

The property is in need of updating but considering the prices charged you cant complain. Someone needs to give the donkey a watch, he wakes up at 03:00 in the morning!
