About this apartment rental

A private enclave is our hidden paradise, located in Tauriko, 8 minutes from Tauranga City Centre. This luxury accommodation is a Fully Air Conditioned, bright apartment attached to our house, offering a Swimming Pool, SPA and a sunny deck with BBQ. We live in a quiet neighborhood and have recently renovated the apartment to a high standard. Wander around the large garden and enjoy the garden vista with native birds.

We provide privacy and all necessary amenities, Free WIFI, chrome cast, Free parking. Suitable for up to four people.

Private apartment set back from the road with parking directly outside the Apartment.

Bed Configuration:
Guest Bedroom: 2 x queen bed.
If both queen beds are used by 2 persons an additional laundry fee of $25 applies.

Key Features:
Full kitchen facilities including combined Oven/Microwave, ceramic cooktop, full sized fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster, tea & coffee making facilities, lounge & dining area, storage cupboards, laptop friendly workspace, free wifi TV (freeview + chrome cast), bathroom with toilet and front loader washing machine, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, lockbox key access, wardrobe & hangers, swimming pool + hot tub, BBQ.

Others including my family and/or friends may use the Outdoor Pool in Summer months, unless the guests specifically request a time for exclusive use.

The apartment is located in Tauriko, which is a 5 minute drive to shopping centres, tourist spots or nightlife. This location will provide peace and tranquility. I consider it a great location, but please don't expect to walk to the exciting places from my front door. You can see the location on the map before you book, and you can use street view to wander down the streets to see how awesome the neighborhood is.

We wanted to see Hobbiton and do some hiking. Gary’s place is excellent - you will need a car, but it is close to everything in the area. Lots of light and a view from every room. Thanks for the tip re. the quarry hike. Make sure you hike around Mount Maunganui then feast at Dixie Browns - fish and chips, ribs, lamb shank, banana chocolate shake all were great!

Very tidy and clean property, The guest house is very private and well resourced. it was very central to all parts of Tauranga. Really good place to stay. We toughly enjoyed out visit. If you’re wanting to be in the Tauranga area and looking for a quieter place surrounded by nature, look no further. Gary has you covered! Not only is this a great location, but Gary is also extremely friendly, available, and outgoing. When I let him know I was going to propose during my stay, he went out of his way to get my partner and I a small gift to celebrate. I would highly recommend staying here if you have the chance - you won’t regret it.

This Place is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. Such an amazing space to reflect, rest and recharge. This amazing place allowed us to feel relaxed, calm and had so much enjoyment connecting and engaging with our little Whanāu. Had the most amazing time with my family at Gary's. He was very kind and made it so comfortable. The house was clean and had everything. The garden was huge with a swing and flying fox for kids to play with. Kids loved spa. Little too cold for my kids for the pool but want to try in our next visit.

Gary was easy to communicate with and gave reassurance with possible COVID lockdown changes at the time. The apartment had everything we needed and in a lovely area with a beautiful garden. The kids loved the pool and spa as well as the board games we didn’t expect to find.

Gary's apartment is in a suburban location which we loved! It was quiet, very clean, spacious and calming place. The outdoor living with pool and spa was incredible. Our children absolutely loved it. We were made to feel extremely welcome. The whole place made us feel at ease. The hosts were very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly when he welcomed us. We would definitely stay again!

Gary’s place was spotless and the check-in process was a breeze. I was really pleased to see Gary had a Covid QR code and had hand sanitiser available along with the usual toiletries. We just had a quick stay so didn’t have time to check out the pool and garden, but it looked lovely from what we saw. The bed was really comfortable. The area has lots of lovely trees and feels really serene.

We are a couple who both work in the hospo industry in Auckland, uppon arrival we were surprised by a bottle of wine on ice and a personal note from the Gary and Lyn. The property is super clean and well maintained, the oven is super luxe and so is the pool and spa pool, the property is very spacious and feels like your own home. If you stay here and look for an outstanding restaurant to celebrate an occasion, than we highly recommend clearance in the old post office in Tauranga. We rate this property 10/10 Gary and Lyn thank you so much we had a fantastic time!!!
