About this cottage rental

This lovely home is over 100 years old, built in 1885. Our lovely cottage is the place to stay.
Make yourself at home in our newly renovated craftsman cottage, with traditional wood accents and original hardwood floors. Comfortably blending modern conveniences with historic charm.
Our cottage has all your comforts from home and then some. You can relax in our garden suite, the french doors open up to our beautiful backyard garden. Enjoy sitting by our outdoor firepit or, relax in our classic suite that opens into the living area, for an even cozier atmosphere. Both rooms have large skylights in them for natural lighting. That may be an issue if sensitive to light. Play board games, watch T.V. or just relax by the fireplace with a glass of wine.

Curious to know what makes downtown Santa Rosa so wonderful? Well take a 5 minute stroll down the road, and visit our downtown district and enjoy some of the local crafted beers at our famous "Russian River Brewery", have some wine and cocktails at "Perch & Plow" or "Bird & The Bottle" (best Cosmo's in town). While you're here, visit some of our great restaurants, like our 5 star Ca'Bianca's Italian Restaurant, where every dish just melts in your mouth!
(PLEASE NOTE: because of it's location to our cottage. some noise after 10 pm on weekends may be a factor),
La Rosa Taqueria (Mexican Cuisine), Belly Left Coast Kitchen and Tap Room. (American Cuisine) and so much more. Shop at some of our cute, swanky boutiques or grab a coffee at one of our local coffee shops. Wine tasting galore at many of our tasting rooms, whatever you fancy, Santa Rosa has it all.

During our spring and summer months, enjoy the weekly farmers market every Wednesday night , as well as many weekend events in our historic downtown and railroad square.

We stayed here while house was being painted. Loved it. Got to explore downtown and also relax in tranquil garden. House is charming . Well equipped. Great communication with owner . Would ssnd houseguests here 😄

Enjoyed our stay in this cute cottage near downtown Santa Rosa. Location was great for day trips, the house is adorable, and the owner is very responsive. Also includes a large enclosed backyard area.

Had a couple minor issues. Host seemed very responsive. My main issue I will mention here is the male cologne smell on 2 of the pillows that really irritated me. The other items I’ll let the host know about. Overall a very nice place but needed a little more attention to detail.

The owners were very communicative, the property was lovely and clean. It had everything we needed with plenty of space and a beautiful outside space. This location was just a 5 minute walk to friends that live nearby so we look forward to booking again in the future. :)

Great walking distance to restaurants! Unfortunately we had rain during our visit to enjoy the amazing backyard..."next time"! Very clean, well stocked kitchen, overall a great stay.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights. We chose the cottage because the location was central for everything we wanted to see/do. The cottage looked exactly as it did in the listing. The check-in process was easy and the cottage was beautifully decorated. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked eith pots/pans/utensils. The backyard was lovely and having the grill was wonderful. Overall perefect for my husband and i to explore the area. We would recommend this cottage and would stay here again!

The cottage was perfect size for 4 people (2 couples). Had all the essentials and a great little backyard set up! The location was great- walkable to downtown Santa Rosa restaurants, brewery, walking trail. A good jumping off point if you’re doing Sonoma wine touring too!

The cottage is easily accessible and attractive. It is also amply supplied to meet most needs. There is some noise from the restaurant next door that has garden seating for lunch and dinner, but the sounds of diners is mostly muffled. One plus for sure in that Starbucks is about two blocks away! Overall it was a pleasant stay.

My husband, dog and I felt right at home here. The house was cozy, yet roomy for the 3 of us. We loved the French doors that led to the outside and took advantage of the firepit. Conveniently located downtown and the food at the Italian restaurant nextdoor was delicious! Despite there being a restaurant, it wasn't very noisy. Definitely will come back.

The location was perfect for walking to great restaurants. In fact, next door was an amazing Italian restaurant. The cottage was perfect for all our needs. It's super clean, quaint, beautifully decorated and quiet. The backyard is magical. Can't wait to stay here again.

This is a super cute, clean cottage. It is reasonably well appointed. However, the skylights in the bedrooms made it too light in the room to sleep. The helicopters flying over during the night also did not make for a restful experience. We did appreciate the off street parking.

We really enjoyed our stay! Location was so convenient, we were able to walk to downtown and the restaurant next door was incredible (and no noise from it either). The kitchen amenities were the best we have ever seen! We will definitely book this property again!! The hosts were so kind and quick to answer questions!

The cutest little cottage ever! There was a heater that made our stay feel so cozy. The backyard area was so nice and we loved using the little fireplace! 10/10 recommend!

I stayed here with two friends for the weekend, it's a great location in Santa Rosa. Very easy to walk to bars & restaurants downtown, also a good location between Napa, Sonoma, the coast and all other places we went. The place was clean, comfortable and had all the necessities and then som. Towels, blankets, a great kitchen stocked with spices, laundry, etc were all great. And a great backyard. Also communication with the Tim & Carol was fabulous, they were super communicative and made everything super easy. Would definitely recommend.

We were in Santa Rosa for a girls trip- 40th birthday celebration. We loved everything about this place from the minute we arrived. The house is so cute, had everything we needed in the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom. The location was great for seeing so many parts of wine country. We did day trips to Napa, Sonoma, Armstrong redwoods, etc. and ended every day relaxing in the beautiful backyard with wine by the fire table. Warning: You lose track of hours back there (in the best way)!! 😊 Tim and Caroline were excellent with communication. Our group highly recommends this Cottage and are a bit sad to leave today. Thanks for everything Tim and Caroline. I would like to give this 10 stars.

Friends and I had a wonderful experience at this property. The cottage was very clean and was close to everything we wanted to do. Super cute Italian restaurant was right next door so we were able to walk to dinner and enjoy some great food and drinks.

Owners were friendly and responsive, property was charming and clean, and the amenities fit all of our needs. Location is perfect for bopping around town. A bit tricky with little kids: we had to hide potential breakables upon arrival, and the bedroom skylights (a nice touch) and patio noise from Ca'Bianca next door made early bedtimes a challenge. Overall, we had a great time!

I would prefer that this just goes to the owners….. Good things: 1)Lots of fluffy white towels!! 2)Clean inside 3)Comfortable beds 4)Very cozy home Things that could use improvement: 1)Only one light worked in the bedrooms (We tried a lightbulb that worked in another lamp but wouldn’t work in two of the lamps.) 2) The living room needed a good reading lamp. 3)The backyard area needed attention….. we were going to use it for a family BBQ but changed our minds when we went back there and saw that it wasn’t kept up! The backyard was one of the things we liked most about the rental when looking for a place to stay…..so we were very disappointed!

Lovely historical cottage with beautiful patio. Great location. My favorites to walk to were Crook’s coffee, Bird and the Bottle restaurant, and the Italian restaurant right next door. Another great perk is that there is parking available for 2 cars.

We had the best stay at this cottage in Santa Rosa. It's a perfect location to either winery hop or walk to the downtown Santa Rosa location (Russian River is my favorite!). Owners are super responsive and friendly. Every convenience you could want is in the cottage. Sitting around the firepit at night was a highlight. Only caution - don't turn the heat up too much at night because it gets crazy hot in the room where the heat comes out (room to the right when you enter). Highly recommend!
