Highly recommended for its hospitality

The staff at this hotel were truly exceptional. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible and beyond that, they were kind and genuine while doing so. The hotel was spacious and immaculate. Our room was comfortable. There were enough outlets. Everything worked as it should have worked.

We wished there had been a bathtub!

Beautiful hotel, lousy weather

Hotel Lago Maggiore is a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Located lakeside. Buffet style breakfast was very good.

Not the hotel’s fault but it rained our entire stay.

Beautiful and comfortable Hotel!

Great hotel , spacious rooms , beautiful view over the lake from balcony. Beds is comfy , pillows are fine . Good bar and restaurant! Staff is kind and helpful.

HOTEL LAGO MAGGIORE = PERFECTION

Cet hôtel neuf est absolument ... magnifique ! Tout y est parfait et de très bon goût : l'accueil chaleureux et très professionnel, le garage sécurisé, l'architecture de très grande qualité de l'établissement, de même que les espaces et aménagements intérieurs et extérieurs, les chambres et balcons, la composition de la chambre et salle de douche, l'isolation phonique des chambres, la clim, la terrasse sur le toit, le restaurant et ses belles cartes, etc. Aucun bruit. La nuit, on se croirait à la campagne alors que l'on est au centre-ville ! Par ailleurs, la proximité de la gare à 100 mètres (sans les nuisances) est très intéressante avec le Pass-ticket qui nous est remis à l'arrivée. La grande classe, en d'autres termes. Nous y retournerons souvent. Merci pour ce magnifique séjour.

Superb

Renovated three years ago with serious attention to details, the hotel is right in front of the lake, rooms are spacious and filled with light, great beds. Staff very helpful and professional. Good breakfast buffet. Will become my regular hotel in Locarno.

Excellent hotel highly recommend

The room with large balcony overlooking the lake. The friendly staff and outside seating area. We were also lucky to hear the fabulous live jazz band who were excellent

Loved it, would recommend it!

We loved our family room. Nice and spacious, very clean. The hotel arranged a little birthday cake for our daughter, very nice. They had some great ideas to celebrate her birthday in the area. Location is wonderful as well of course.

We didn’t know (probably my own fault by not reading carefully) that we had to book a parking spot. We ended parking in the main parking garage of Locarno, which was fine just a 5 minute walk.

Restful and beautiful view.

This hotel was a 10+ for the location, staff and ambiance. Illiana was so helpful and sweet. She was so welcoming and kind to us and gave us info and a map, checked up with us and was the best! Thank you

This hotel well located on Lake Maggiore is excellent. Large light & quiet modern room with balcony overlooks the lake. Amenities first rate including large bathroom. The wifi is unsecured when hotels of this standard should provide a secure network. Breakfast first class with large range of quality local produce. Large comfortable lounge on ground floor. All staff friendly & welcoming.

Exceptional

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even gave us an upgrade! The location of this hotel is perfect, in front of the lake and within walking distance to the city center. And finally the breakfast was excellent with a big variety of options.

Please note to book a room with balcony and towards the lake side. We booked one that was at the back side of the hotel, with no balcony and no view at all. Because the hotel was empty, they were able to find us another room

Steep steps--No step free access to hotel lobby on arrival in rain! First floor door can only be opened with RFID key obtainable after checking in!!

Beautiful view in a very good location with little room to improve

Good Service. Nice buffett. Beatiful room with a view. Descret table settings for breakfast. The rooms were very clean and properly arranged. The view from the rooms was astonishing. Many restaurants are in the near. Easy to reach from the train station. A good place to stay. The free public transport tickets were extensively used.

The boxspring beds really need a topper. They are too hard. I did stay in many other locations and this is something they should change.

electric chargers did not accept tesla for some reason but it is a minor
