A very spacious unusual apartment situated to the side of the building with a large terraced area with views down the road to the sea. Immediate access is through a UPVC door from the parking area into the main family room/kitchen. This room opens out into a fantastic space for dining, viewing TV, playing, cooking and relaxing.
The newly fitted fully equipped kitchen has teale blue fronted units having full size dishwasher, washer, fridge, freezer, micro-wave and oven and has been thoughtfully stocked with a good range of kitchen equipment and utensils and crockery to cater for younger guests. In the dining area there is a large 6-seater table and chairs and a small children's 2-seater table and chairs. A comfortable brown leather sofa, 2 large faux leather bean bags, coffee table, CD player/radio and wall-mounted TV create a mini living space within this large family room, from where stairs rise to a 25m2 mezzanine lounge area. (Agents notes: I love the fact that this apartment can so easily cater for the extended family or families with toddlers to teens as it has two defined living areas, the kitchen/dining/living area downstairs and the lovely comfy mezzanine lounge with a stair gate at the bottom if required.) There are double doors from the ground floor kitchen diner/living space to the outside sea view terrace.
The mezzanine lounge has Freeview TV, DVD player, large corner sofa and a sumptuous cream carpet making this room a great entertainment suite/chill-out room or 3rd bedroom when using the self-inflating blow-up bed; it also serves as a great space for the younger family members to be occupied.
The hallway allows storage for boards and pushchair etc. Full WiFi is provided.
The double bedroom has a wet room style en-suite and the 2nd bedroom has a two single wooden beds. There is also a wooden cot in this room. This spacious apartment's locality to the beach and village makes for a superb base for your holiday in Woolacombe.
A £150 security deposit is held and released after the holiday.
Parking space for two very small cars (or one larger) directly outside the entrance, at owners own risk. You might possibly fit two very small cars but we can take no responsibility if you can only get only get one car in as the space is designed for one car.

This was our second stay and number 5 and it didn't disappoint ! Very clean and spacious with an open plan living area downstairs and a mezzanine lounge area upstairs. Apartment is well equipped, kitchen is home from home. Nice balcony area looking down Sandy lane and overlooking the beach and sea. The apartment is particularly well situated for the centre of village and shops. pubs, entertainments are literally 3 minutes walk away. Highly recommend The Jube for food and Bar Electric for fabulous sunsets. We will definitely be back hopefully for two weeks next year.

Great week in Woolacombe.
The apartment was lovely and well situated, close to the beach and town.
Great restaurants in the town and a nice bar.
We will definitely stay here again. The apartment is well equipped especially the kitchen. The PlayStation and dvds were a nice touch too.
Thanks a lot

Stayed with five adults, a toddler and a dog. Accomodation great especially upstairs mezzanine. Location spot on. Easy to walk to beach and all amenities. Terrace area had sun in afternoon and evening so was great for eating evening meal with a view of the sea. Quite basic inside accomodation but who goes on holiday to stay in their apartment all day. Could do with some new utensils, crockery etc. But overall a great apartment. Excellent value for money.

Really couldn’t have asked for much more. Spacious property equipped with everything we needed and more. Stones throw from the beach, beach view from the terrace which also gets the evening sun. Parking right next to property. Fantastic dvd / video library with PlayStation & games on large mezzanine area (such a bonus as a chill out room). I could go on but basically this is a fantastic apartment so close to the wonderful Woolacombe beach and with great walks on your doorstep. We had an amazing time thank you!

Beautiful apartment
A great apartment, ideal for exploring the surrounding areas,a great beach that my wife could access on a hired mobility scooter. By far the best we've stayed in.

Great week spent at No. 5
This apartment was perfect for our family needs. Being a family with adult children who still like to holiday together this apartment gave everyone space to move around and not be on top of each other. The mezzanine lounge area was the perfect space to spend an evening relaxing - particularly on the very comfortable sofa - so comfortable we would have loved to have brought it home with us.
The bathrooms were spotlessly clean with great showers. Plenty of bedroom space. Kitchen facilities were more than adequate for holidaying.
It is only a short walk up the hill from the beach directly into the apartment with car parking right outside the front door.
After spending many years holidaying in Woolacombe we will definitely be booking No. 5 again.
Many thanks again for an amazing week in Woolacombe

Wonderful as ever . . . .
‘I’m not sure that you should dig there John’ said Fred, nervously looking on as his colleague thrust his spade into the hole that he’d just started to dig. ‘It’ll be alright' said John, 'I mean what could possibly go wrong?’
‘Can you smell gas?’ asked Fred. ‘Ah, replied John, now looking rather red-faced, ‘that’s what that big pipe was. Let’s get out of here’
And so it started, the Great Woolacombe Gas Shortage*, in which thousands of jubilee week holiday makers were thrown into total chaos as they were unable to have a hot shower before they went out, and when they did go out, there was a good chance that the restaurant they were going to wasn’t even open. This was a disaster on such a grand scale that not even Lord Parkin of Parkin Estates could get it sorted for 3 days
But it would take a bit more than slightly greasy hair to put a dampener on our annual pilgrimage to Woolacombe and our latest stay at No 5 Narracott Apartments.
As ever, the apartment was impeccably clean when we arrived, adorned by a wonderfully sumptuous new sofa in the mezzanine lounge area, resulting in extra seating downstairs, both of which meant that I could comfortably wait for the local weather forecast on TV whilst my wife and daughters could sit upstairs and argue about which judge on Britains Got Talent really does have the biggest ego
I didn’t need to worry about the weather of course, due, as usual to Maddy at Holiday Home Hunters actually arranging for a full week of uninterrupted sun - these guys literally sort out everything for you!
My one regret of the otherwise perfect week was the moment when sitting in Bar Electric with a pint and staring wistfully over the Bristol Channel, I got chatting to a couple who asked me about where I was staying. I told them all about No 5 and suddenly, in the middle of waxing lyrical about how perfect it was for us, both the apartment itself and the brilliantly convenient location, I panicked that they were genuinely interested in renting it themselves. They’d already told me that they came the same week every year which meant they potentially could gazump me next year. I had no choice but to backtrack and so I told them that they didn’t allow dogs (which of course they do), that the beds were actually a little bit uncomfortable (which of course they’re not) and that the view from the balcony isn’t great (which of course is nonsense, it’s spectacular). I don’t know whether they saw through my strategy or not, but I do hope so. Especially as the wife said that I look like captain Birdseye. Cheek of it.
*as ever with Holiday Home Hunters, the communication (throughout the gas problem) was timely, informative and helpful. In addition, Maddy personally took the time out to ensure that we had been re-connected despite it being the Bank Holiday weekend.

Stay with family and dog
We have just returned from a very enjoyable weeks stay at 5 Narracott apartments. I think the accommodation was of a very good standard and well equipped offering good value for money. The location is ideal and the apartment more than adequate for 6 people and a dog our children are now teenagers but can see how this would be just as good for those with a younger family and that the apartment is equipped for this age range also. Ideal for taking dog out literally minutes to the beach which he loved. All in all was as described no complaints would definitely like to return in the future.

Another Excellent Stay
we stayed in No 5, lovely spacious apartment. Plenty of room for the kids and us. The kitchen has all of the amenities and appliances you need so its easy to eat in if you choose to.
There are two lounge areas which is a bonus if you want to spread out. A dining table is provided which seats 6 people easily.
The outside patio area is lovely to sit and watch the world go by, watch the sunset in the evening. Ideally situated for the beach and local town. Its great as you can leave the car unless you want to travel further afield.
I would recommend this property.

We've had a great one week stay at 5 Naracott apartments. The flat is a good size, well furnished and clean and the best part was it's location - just a stone's throw away from Woolacombe beach.
We along with our pooch really enjoyed the space. Everything was communicated to us beforehand and we had a great holiday.
Thanks to Maddy, Sarah and the team at Holiday Hunters.
Regards
Sam, Rob and Momo

Horrible time we had
We have only put in the title"what a horrible time we had",so that 5 Narracott doesn't get booked up,as we will want to return, many times in the future..what a wonderful place to stay.would struggle to find fault with anything.Sarah from Holiday home Hunter was so very helpful, would recommend them for any stay. The apartment,is very spacious with so much to do.parking is s dream for one car,far better than any other spaces in the same complex.you can get two cars, but it's a bit tight.lovely sea view from the balcony, and you can also sort of see the sea, from the main bedroom.Even had a nice message from Nicky, who does the housekeeping, thanking us for leaving everywhere clean and tidy.Wonderful, wonderful place to stay.

This is the perfect holiday home, just a stones throw to the beach and shops! We will certainly book again.

Lovely apartment in prime location
We had a wonderful stay in 5 Narracott. Perfect location, 5 mins to the beach, 2 minutes to Londis and the shops. As a family of 4, we loved the huge living area and the lovely mezzanine sitting room where the children could relax and play on the PlayStation after a long day on the beach whilst we could enjoy the late afternoon sunshine from the patio area which has a sea view. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and the large fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher were welcome. No noise from neighbouring apartments.
The car parking space is adjacent to the apartment which was very convenient. We will be back.

5 Narrocott Apartments
Great location, great facilities could just be a bit noisy in the evenings as the main access door to other apartments was adjacent to the entrance to the apartment. Wouldn't put us off but useful to know. Really comfortable and clean.

One small step ....
It was 1962 in Texas when JFK famously said ‘We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard'. And of course, a mere 7 years later we all remember that that famous day in July 1969 when Neil Armstrong made that ‘one small step’ on to the surface of our lunar cousin
Less well known, but equally as ambitious was the promise made by Ray Parkin, of Parkin Estates, who, when taking over the reins of the family business in 1985 audaciously pronounced that 'we choose to install contactless payment machines in our beach Car Parks in Woolacombe, not because it is easy, but because it is hard' (to let go of all of those pound coins)
And, like JFK, Bezos, Gates, and other visionaries of our time, after nearly 40 years of trying (not too hard) Ray's seemingly impossible dream has finally (if not rather inconveniently) come to fruition
I say inconvenient because, as a regular visitor to Woolacombe, I’ve become used to the need to pour the world’s supply of pound coins into one of Parkin Estates’ car park machines and so like every year, I’ve been saving up my pound coins since my last visit, often forsaking leaving tips in restaurants and giving spare change to homeless people knowing that I would need a full £272 to cover the cost of a week’s parking at the beach car park; furthermore, with my 2020 visit deferred for 12 months due to COVID, I had amassed so much coin that when we set off for the annual rave on the A303 the wife’s Volvo was visibly lower than usual (even without her actually being in it)
So when I was asked by the kind Parkin Estates man at the car park barrier whether I was using ‘cash or CARD’ (by the way, for anyone not familiar with Woolacombe, Parkin Estates is the management company which apparently owns just about everything in the village, not, as I first thought, the job that my Dad did when he worked at a Vauxhall garage back in the late sixties). it left me with mixed emotions - delight on the one hand that after so many years of moaning about the lack of technology it had finally arrived, concern on the other hand about potentially not having sufficient holiday insurance to cover the amount of cash I would be keeping in the car all week.
Anyway, I almost forgot that the this review isn’t about car parking, it’s actually about Number 5 Narracott, where we stayed again this year - and of course, the truth is, other than on the first day, there’s no actual need to use one of the car parks as 5 Narracott has a wonderfully convenient parking space, literally right outside the front door - in fact, it is not even a 'giant leap' from the boot of the Volvo to putting a foot inside the immaculately cleaned apartment.
If I’m honest, I’d like to say that 5 Narracott is a bit cramped for a family of 4, I’d like to say that it’s so so far up the hill that getting down into the village takes forever, and I’d like to say that for the money, it’s not really good value - but unfortunately I can’t say any of this things because they’re not true - I absolutely love this place I just don’t really want too many other people to know that just in case it becomes too popular and I can’t get it reserved for the next few years.
The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and well laid out. It’s location is perfect - right in the heart of the village which we really like, especially as I can get to either Bar Electric or The Beach House, may 2 favourite places to eat and drink in Woolacombe, in about 2 minutes. In an extra 30 seconds, you can also get to the new Snack Shack which is a surprisingly decent new coffee/snack bar, next to and owned by the Red Barn - and the fact that it is outside means that they’ll be unable to replicate the stickiness of the carpet inside their main restaurant . . .
So if you’re looking for somewhere to stay that’s comfortable and central to the village, you can’t do much better than 5 Narracott. Just don’t book it for when I want it. Please
PS - due to the need for me to amend my booking at the last minute, the owners were super-flexible and understanding
PPS - as ever, but specifically linked to the point above, Maddy, Sarah and the team at Holiday Home Hunters were fantastically helpful
PPPS - despite my ongoing ribbing of Parkin Estates, they too were genuinely really helpful when I had to cancel a beach hut at really short notice

Beautiful, spacious apartment set in an incredible location.
Beautiful, spacious apartment with all the facilities you could need, great parking, extremely clean. We are repeat customers of the holiday company and this particular apartment as both are exceptional (especially in the last year).
The apartment location, could not be bettered for a uk beach holiday and the holiday company are fantastic in every area.
10/10.

Fantastic break
A wonderful week spent here. Great location, plenty of space and amazing facilities.
Third time of staying here, love that we have a short walk to the beach. Lots of things to keep you amused if it’s a wet day.
Only slight complaint is that in the second bedroom curtains and blinds don’t fit particularly well. Didn’t hinder our stay though.
Would definitely like to return some day. A family with two energetic boys! To be in a luxurious apartment so close to the beach is wonderful.

We stayed a few nights here. The apartment is really well situated close to beach and amenities. The apartment is large and very well equipped. Great customer service

Wonderful week in Devon
5 Narracott was the perfect location for our break in Devon and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Having the allocated parking space right outside the door was a huge bonus and there was a good selection of books, games, DVDs etc for those rainy, lazy days ( luckily we didn't get any).
The only downside was the size of the double bed which I found way too short and my feet were hanging over the end through the bars.(I'm just over 6ft) We moved in to the twin room which was much more comfortable.
We will definitely book again for any future Devon breaks.

Good with a few problems
Great location right by the town and sea. Property said that it could have 2 small cars, more than ample parking for both our cars which are standard size.
Good range of facilities in the apartment itself however as the property was supposed to be ‘COVID’ cleaned I would not say that it was so. The property was clean at first glance but it had not been deep cleaned and we did this ourselves. We weren’t allowed in the property till 5 due to the cleaning but there wasn’t anyone in the property cleaning from 12:30 onwards. Some of the towels provided were stained but there were some spares upstairs that we used.
We had to unblock the shower in the en-suite as this was overflowing into the main bedroom and the shower heads in both bathrooms weren’t very clean.
Once we had got past this it provided us with a great base for our stay. Dog friendly outside though we had to walk down the road to find a grass area.

First holiday after lockdown.
This property is perfect for a long or short stay. We stayed for a week. It was well equipped & had plenty of books, games, films etc for entertainment. Very spacious too. The proximity to the shops & beach is excellent.

Love It . . .
My very positive review last year of 6 Little Beach focused largely on the tribulations of our journey to Woolacombe rather than the property itself. So this year, I’ll try and talk a bit more about Number 5 Narracott which is where we actually stayed. However, unlike last year’s positivity, this year’s review does unfortunately include a large number of complaints.
My first complaint is that our journey this year was actually rather uneventful. Obviously we left late due to the usual procrastinating of the other half (although this has become such an inevitable thing that I would probably miss it if it didn’t happen) but despite this and a slightly restless pooch, we set off in good time.
And so to my second complaint which is that, for the first time since about 8000 BC, there was absolutely NO traffic whatsoever on the A303 at Stonehenge. And I mean, none! I was quite close to faking a break-down just to create a traffic jam so that other regular travellers didn’t think that they’d got lost, but decided to crack on instead as I realised that my AA membership had expired
20 minutes later (and I’ve still not actually had to stop) and the reason for my 3rd complaint started to dawn on me - bizarrely, the outside temperature was actually increasing as the journey progressed which really isn’t the idea at all. We packed 15 blankets and 7 hoodies (all previously bought in Woolacombe) for a reason.
And so, remarkably, In less than 4 hours, we were driving back into the main car park at Waterloo - where at least I wasn’t disappointed to find that technology (the ‘Credit Card’) had, indeed, not yet reached Parkin Estates and that I would need to find 7 quid in pound coins in order to get out later.
Dog abluted and Beach Hut(s) secured, also owned by Parkin Estates, (the Beach Huts, not the dog although you never know), we unloaded the van of the usual beach paraphernalia, and, despite the rather cloudy morning, we had a pleasant few hours on the beach. A couple of diet cokes and some Ice Creams from Mr Frosty (Parkin Estates) later, and also a sandwich from the cafe by the bridge (Parkin Estates) we decided to make a move - in part because we were actually getting sun-burned (complaint number 4) - so, rather painfully, we made our way back to the van, but of course via Bar Electric (not the red Barn as I didn’t want to get stuck to the floor) just to kill the normal 2 hours before being allowed into the flat.
And then finally we were ready to go back to the van again and start the journey to number 5 Narracott.
5 seconds later we had arrived at our temporary home for the week and parked outside -and I mean right outside, not up 28 flights of steps -and so within about 2 minutes we were unloaded, unpacked and ready to go (from memory, back to Bar Electric!!, which, I believe is the only commercial building in the whole of Woolacombe not actually owned by Parkin bloody Estates)
We had a great week -the usual mix of weather -cloudy days, wet days, sunny days -but always relaxing and great days.
Oh . . .and the apartment (I nearly forget what I was supposed to be talking about) . . .it’s perfect!! This is the 3rd time we’ve been lucky enough to stay there and hopefully far from the last. It’s spacious, well equipped, (surprisingly quiet) and super-convenient. Obviously it doesn’t have a garden (but there’s a 3 mile wide one about a 1 minute walk away!) but apart from that it wants for nothing. I don’t want to wax too lyrical about it too much in case it becomes so popular that I can’t book it again, but really, it’s just right for a group of 4-6.
And it’s not owned by Parkin Estates
