Welcome to Taha Wai, a four-bedroom, 2 bathroom house based in the stunning and snowy lakeside town of Wanaka. This classic 1970s family holiday home is close to the lake in ‘Old Wanaka’. Enjoy the outstanding views from the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area.
The spacious private garden is well-fenced (perfect for your canine companion), with plenty of parking space for cars and boat trailers.
Taha Wai has all the comforts and amenities that you would require from a holiday home and more! In the summer enjoy the outdoors, stepping outside to the balcony areas, watching the sun come down over the mountains. In winter, put your feet up and relax in the cosy and warm living area warming yourself in front of the fireplace.
When you’re about to doze off, retreat into the bedrooms and enjoy the queen-sized and single beds. Wanaka features stunning surrounding areas with beautiful mountain views and plenty of activities to throw yourself into!
Just 20 minutes drive away you’ll be able to explore one of New Zealand’s best ski resorts, the Treble cone skiing area! Even closer is central Wanaka, a 15-minute walk along the lakeside, with all the practicalities a small town has to offer.
In Summer explore and hike around Lake Wanaka or to get your adrenaline pumping, try out the many mountain biking trails in the area using the three bikes that are available at the property!

Good space for larger group - view of the lake and mountains great. Good walking in that area.

We had a great stay, house was cosy and well equipped for us. We had 2 families of 8 people, were we had sufficient beds and bathrooms, kitchen was small however still functional for our needs. The kids enjoyed the pool table and bikes. Lovely walking track to take you to town. Our only concern was the hot water system was not sufficient for 8 people and there were ants in the kitchen.

Very convenient to ski Cardrona and treble cone. Nice and warm. Very inviting. We hope to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay. Very pet friendly and with such a secure section our puppy was happy as outside.
Kitchen well equipped and beautiful bathrooms.
Our only issue was it was soooooo stinking hot in wanaka when we stayed that we had to buy fans and found sleeping up stairs too hot so we all had to go downstairs. But when I say it was hot it was extremely hot. And thats no fault to the owners.
We will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone after a nice quiet place to stay close to town
