The town
The pictures look great! There is no one on site, you are sent a code to unlock the room. This wasn’t clear, at all. The free breakfast is a coupon at a coffee shop you have to drive to. For the price it was a rip off! Will never book again.
4.3
It was quite and peaceful room was cool and could adjust as needed
No hangers for clothes luckily I did bring a few. Would have liked to have fruit or yogurt as a choice for breakfast
4.3
The grounds were lovely, nice pool and jacuzzi. Very clean, comfy bed.
That breakfast was at a coffee shop about 3/4 mile away. I like more than coffee and a pastry for breakfast and when a hotel can't provide that, I like to have cooking facilities so I can cook my own.
4.3
The location is fantastic! Literally, a 10 minute walk to the center of town. Close to the Leaning Pear (great restaurant). The breakfast included was honored at Blanco Cafe. The workers were really nice. The pastry was very good and the coffee served its purpose. First impression of the room was that it was clean, tastefully decorated, small fridge, wall-mounted TV, Microwave, sofa/hide-away bed combo, Bathroom was clean. The bed was comfy. The room was nice and cool - A/C works well.
For the cost, the pool area lights and the pool-connected spa were not working. Wifi was spotty first thing in the morning. The walls either lack insulation or there is not near enough as we could hear muffled sounds on either side of us. When the wifi was not working consistently, I called the property number and had to leave a message. No one returned my call, but the internet issue resoled before check out.

It was good, still miss the old location down the hill.
Ice machine would be nice

Clean & private
Pool was a little small

I loved how the room was decorated! Also for having a kitchen sink, refrigerator, microwave, utensils, etc. Our experience was awesome. We saw about 10 deer across the street. The whole atmosphere was wonderful! We definitely would stay again. The property would get a 10 if not for the toilet paper holder.
The toilet paper holder was in a very awkward place. It should have been on the right side of the wall. You had to reach behind you to get to the toilet paper. We went to the place to get a pastry on the second day. The pastries were stale.
4.3
the rooms were comfortable and stylish with lists of amenities. The kitchen area was nicely stocked. The robes and record player were unexpected bonuses!
The pool area was clean but the water level wasn’t kept up so the jets weren’t working well and the hot tub was lukewarm.
4.3
Breakfast was good, location has changed and is okay.
Staff forgot to leave a breakfast voucher. No staff on property. It was VERY DIFFICULT to talk with the hotel staff. Going through Booking.com was not helpful and was difficult. Simple problem of burned out light bulb should have been easy to solve.
4.3
quiet and peaceful
bathroom privacy
4.3
A comfortable stay close to the center square, we enjoyed the room amenties, pool and extra touches (cool night lamp). Contactless entry, but help was only a phone call away if you needed it. Would recommend.
4.3
the location
the breakfast, I was expecting a full meal breakfast
not what we were expecting when you say breakfast provuded
4.3
We did not eat the continental breakfast at the Sugar Stack.
Probably try to fix the loud sound of the air conditioner.
4.3
Very clean and big room, has a small kitchenette. Very comfortable bed. Contactless check in and check was smooth, no issues with locks etc.
We would definitely stay here again.
The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear noise from the room next door. However, by the time we went to sleep it was quite.
Breakfast coupon was a joke as the bakery was closed on Mondays. It would be nice to have another option. When you say breakfast included, it should be included everyday.
The pool area needs attention… debris in pool and the hot was green…
4.3
close proximity to town.
The free breakfast that was supposed to be included, wasn’t. The breakfast shop we were given vouchers for was closed the 2 days we were there. Not just those 2 days, every Monday and Tuesday. How do you include breakfast as part of the rental and not know what days they are open and closed. Two days of breakfast cost me another $35 that was supposed to have been included. Any chance of a refund for that?
4.3
The breakfast was good and a close walk from the hotel. We enjoyed being able to walk to the shops and restaurants and not worry about parking in town as it was really busy but the hotel was not in the middle of the business which was really nice.
4.3
comfortable and quiet
the bathroom in the room needs a real door and you could hear through the walls
4.3
it’s location is conveniently located near the local shops and not too far from numerous vineyards in the area
The property was well maintained and the rooms were clean. The painted murals on the walls were nice.

Breakfast is not offered on Monday and Tuesday so we missed out as we were busy Sunday. I was told the bakery for the breakfast vouchers is an excellent bakery.
Room reeked of mildew despite two huge buckets of moisture Rid I found under the bed. Some parts of the room were clean (tub and toilet very clean) and other parts caked in dust. There was little surface space and the full-length mirror is in the extremely tiny closet. Someone tried to make this a cute place to stay but the mildew smell was horrible!! We were in room 5. Other people we knew were in Room 2 and it did not have a mildew smell. When I called about it and asked to be moved to a different room (Two cans of Kysol did NOT help) the person to whom I spoke said all rooms were full but made no offer to refund our money so we could move even after I told him I am extremelyp allergic to mold/mildew- and it smelled HORRIBLE! He was not responsive and actually hung up without saying goodbye. I have never left a bad review before but the management and room left me no choice. It was a bad experience and we got very poor sleep due to the smell. Oh- there is very little parking. Definitely not enough for more than one car per room. If you are fortunate enough to get a room without mildew, the rooms are kitschy and okay. The proximity to the Wimberley Square is excellent.

The room was great and the location is good.
Expensive.
4.3
We would have like some to come in and freshen it the linens, made the bed and took out the trash.
Comfortable room and great location in town. Everything was close enough to walk. Clean room.
4.3
The rooms were nice. They were spacious. The kitchen was great for our extended stay.
There was no management on site and no services on site to resolve problems like getting locked out, the TV not working and housekeeping
4.3
It was clean
Walls between rooms lack sound barrier. Can hear everything neighbors are saying.
4.3
Loved the record player and the boutique feel!
When we turned the light off of the fan could of stayed on. As well as the pools could of been a little cleaner.
4.3
Liked everything about this place...we will be back.
Everything was perfect
They even had real wine glasses,
4.3
We love the privacy the cleaning staff the decor and comfy bed
We love the pool but it needed to be serviced. Water was low. Chlorine was suspect
Also yard men showed up in the morning and would have been better to show up after check out
4.3
Generous coupon for continental style breakfast.
Other guests were a bit commandeering of the pool and noisy, but that did not endure too long. Can’t control everything.
4.3
AC....it was humid in room.
4.3
Parking was a problem.
4.3
Very conveniently located. Quiet. Comfortable. Kitchen well supplied.
Commode rocked and seat cracked. Mold on tub grout. No instructions for using the two TV Remotes. AC unit very loud.
4.3
The property is adorable and the room was nicely appointed.
Our issues were with the service. Our TV did not work and one of the bedside lights was broken. We called the only number the hotel provided us with no return call. The air conditioner was loud enough that they kindly provided sets of complimentary ear plugs. Housekeeping did not come to our room while we were there either. If they had, they would have seen the note we left about the broken TV.
I would recommend this place to anyone. But they should improve their service a bit.
