The perfect spot to energise and soak up all the Birrabung / Yarra has to offer

Absolutely stunning accommodation!!! A beautiful cottage set up with everything you could need. We loved every part of our stay. All of the little touches just made it a real stand out... the fresh bread and condiments, fruit, chocolate treats, even things like washing powder....the hosts have thought of everything! Love the coffee maker too!!! The cleanliness was top notch too. We just loved sitting and drinking local wine with local cheeses on the deck each evening. Such a peaceful country setting yet Healesville is only a 2minute drive down the road. Totally recommend staying at Sunset Cottage....I just hope we get the opportunity to return. Lovely clear instructions prior to arrival. You will not be disappointed staying here!

Exceptional

The location is perfect, quiet, my kid loves to see rabbits and kangaroos. Offering breakfast it is a bonus, so we were ready to go have a good time after breakfast in a family in this cosy cottage.

Beautiful cottage, amazing view, excellent host

The sunset view from this cottage really is beautiful- even in the rain! It's cosy, well equipped and in a serene location, yet still very near to the main town. Pat is an excellent host, so accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.

So loving and relaxing. Perfect location for us to stay with our hot air balloon ride booked in. Would definitely recomm

Loved it all! Especially loved the style.

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like, but it could be improved with a wood fireplace.

Cutest little cottage

The location was amazing nice and secluded but also close to the main parts of town. Pat and Neil were lovely hosts and the welcome visit was such a nice touch. They were so hospitable and it made our stay so much better.

Beautiful retreat in one of Victoria's nicest regions.

Loved getting visited by the chickens every evening. We used the BBQ which was a luxurious touch. All the amenities were incredible, and the hosts were lovely. Can't wait to rebook.

An idyllic cottage that delivered the perfect weekend getaway

' Quirky ' is a term that can be seen as good or bad. In the case of Sunset Cottage it has only positive attributes. An unexpected little nook nestled a grape pip spit from Healesville with the Yarra Valley wineries on its doorstep. Comfortable and inviting - the hosts supplied bread , milk , fruit and copious coffee capsules. Sadly we were unable to entice the hens to leave us some eggs !

Enchanting Rural Experience

This was a great place to stay. Its set in a beautiful location with rural views. The cottage is beautifully designed and suits and makes the most of the setting. It is clean and there are lots of thoughtful touches; the owners have gone out of their way to make the stay a good experience and its a lovely space to stay, rustic but with all the modern cons.

The walls between the two bedrooms are so thin that it was almost like being in the same room. We could hear everything each other said and had to be extra quiet so as not to wake each other in the morning. However, this was a minor issue given that everything else was so exceptional. It's just something to consider if you're wanting privacy in the bedroom.

A little gem of a place in this area.

This is a lovely, quiet little hideaway that is close to shops and eateries in Healesville. It is a great base for travelling around the area. The cottage is well presented and comfortable. It’s easy to feel calm and relaxed. Pat and Neil are wonderful hosts who genuinely want their guests to enjoy the stay. Great little gem in this area.

"A getaway with a difference!" - An imaginative house with quality, distinctive furnishings, and a great view to boot! The owners have gone to great trouble to consider a wide range of visitor needs, with many thoughtful, quality additions that go well beyond what's normally expected. We enjoyed it thoroughly and would heartily recommend it to anyone. A round of applause! :-)

Great short stay venue for the Yarra Valley, so close to everything and a very quiet location

Very funky accomodation with great views and perfect location. Close to everything without being in the middle of everything. Very much appreciated the coffee making facilities including fresh milk as well as the delicous loaf of bread.

Small item, an adiditonal comfy chair in the main area would have been great

Serenity in wine country

Very cosy cottage. The proximity to Healesville was fantastic, but by the same token, the wineries were a short drive away. Wifi provided, additional items like throws to sit-out on in the pergola were a nice touch. Fantastic supply of coffee, milk, bread and a mix of fruits (all welcome). The beds were exceptional in terms of comfort & the size of the property was perfect for a family of three like ours. We loved it & we’ll be back.

My wife & son were a little concerned about the precarious positioning of an old saw - nailed to a cross beam. What can you say, nobody is perfect.

Gorgeous cottage and amazing hosts!

Pat and Neil are amazing, they provide everything that you would need for your stay and more! Amazing location and views, we even saw a deer! The photos don't do this beautiful cottage justice as it is so gorgeously presented, farmhouse chic at it's best. This is our second stay and we are definitely going to be back more! Nice and cosy with everything we need. Stunning view with surrounding mountains We spotted a few kangaroos and beautiful birds. A close driving distance to town and only a few kms from Healesville Santuary. The hosts were so kind.

This quirky cottage was fabulous for its location, the most amazing sunsets and sunrises - the owners had thought of everything and we were quite sad to leave will absolutely be back again and not hesitate in recommending - a true gem of a find

A very special experience in an amazing setting and a most thoughtfully fitted out cottage. There wasn't a thing extra that we needed, exceptionally clean and comfortable with the best views. It was a pleasure to meet the hosts and we thank them for allowing us to experience a peice of their paradise.

I wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely cottage with warmth and helpful hosts.

Exceptional

Sunset Cottage is in a perfect location. It is very close to Healesville centre but has the added bonus of beautiful views and quiet country surroundings. The house is spacious, comfortable and is well stocked with all that you need. Pat and Neil were welcoming and happy for us to check in early - which was greatly appreciated. Fruit and breakfast provisions were also provided. The house has been carefully renovated/restored with many interesting and stylish items. A most eclectic decor. The photographs do not do justice to this lovely accommodation which we highly recommend.
