Easy check-in and a lovely welcome, with treats for us all, including the dogs! House was lovely, clean and homely. Amazing shower!

Hot tub. Kids enjoyed it! The place is Near the restaurants and grocery stores
The flooring, Some nails sticking out, Painful when stepped on. Boiler is noisy every now and then.

This was a perfect property for our stay. I couldn’t have asked for anything more and Angela and James were so lovely and gave us lots of suggestions during our stay. There are so many things to do, the location is great and we went to some amazing restaurants from the host suggestions. Everything was lovely and clean and I would definitely return to this property which I hope to do in the near future.

Well appointed, thoughtfully decorated and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds with good quality bedding, plentiful hot water and lovely fluffy towels. Nice touches like fresh milk in fridge and Welsh cakes. Great helpful communication from host

We needed somewhere to stay close to the Brecon Beacon area as friends were getting married. We picked this property as there were 3 adults, 2 kids and a dog that needed to be accommodated for :)
The reviews for this property are great....and rightly so. The cottage feels like home! Fresh milk and Welsh cakes were awaiting our arrival (which after 6 hours driving were very welcomed)
The property was extremely clean and tidy throughout. Beds very comfortable and more than enough pillows for you :) (pillows were lush, and not the cheaper flat ones that I have at home)
Clean towels provided as well as toiletries. The bathroom is lovely.
The outside space at the back of the property was an instant hit with the children, and again was clean, tidy and in bloom. The views across Merthyr from the top were wonderful.
Parking - I must admit I thought parking would be fun in the streets of Merthyr as welsh roads in such places aren't always the roomiest ... however we never had any issues parking outside the cottage, even when coming back late in the evening. You just park up and turn in the road when leaving (as this street is nearing a dead end)
Hosts= Fabulous! The amount of local information, suggestions (even pub / takeaway) was great and so helpful. Thank you.
Angela responded quickly when I had a little query and again was so helpful.
We'd love to come back here again, and would most definitely recommend this to anyone else.

The property was lovely and well equipped. Beds super comfy. We had 2 cars and had no issues with parking, plenty of spaces outside. Perfect location for exploring the Brecon Beacons, 20 mins by car to Pen Y Fan.
Unfortunately the bathroom is downstairs, the owners obviously can’t change this but I do think they should make it clear in the property description as the stairs are very steep being a typical Welsh cottage.

The house is very comfortable and has been renovated to a high spec. It would be perfect for a small group of people wishing to explore the Welsh valleys and Brecon Beacon park. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided a scenic route through the Brecon Beacon national park which was a highlight of our visit. The area is quiet and dark at night on steep narrow streets but parking was always available right outside the house.
The outdoor space is up steep stone steps and was difficult to access - particularly at night and with an elderly dog that struggles with stairs. This is just something to be aware of if booking the property but is a minor inconvenience. Overall the stay was very enjoyable.

Great location for visiting the Beacons

The house is extremely well equipped with everything you could want or need. Stylish and quirky this properly feels more like a boutique hotel than a holiday let.
A fantastically equipped kitchen, plenty of super fluffy towels, toastie heating and comfy beds - what’s not to like?
There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. The garden is steep but they’ve made good use of the space. And if the steps were a bit challenging for my short-legged dogs, the park directly over the road more than made up for it.

Superb cosy cottage in a great location for sightseeing. Lovely interior decor and good amenities for our first family getaway with our 10 month old daughter.

The house had a lovely cosy feeling, and the dining area and living area was lovely to use. It was also lovely to use the kitchen as it had all the relevant dishes and utensils. The terrace area was also lovely but we were unable to use it due to the weather.
The bedrooms were a little bit small for us as a family of 5, and there wasn't much storage space. Also the bed frame in the master bedroom was very noisy, even just turning over in bed during the night would make the bed creak loudly.

Nice and clean. Lovely fluffy towels! Great little outdoor terrace for drinks in the evening with solar lights. Good quality toiletries too. Comfy bedding and bed. Oh and a great folder with all the things to do and see near by. Very helpful. Oh and finally some yummy welcome biscuits. Would stay again.
I read through all my messages and I didn't receive the key code and had to ring for the code. But the code was provided very quickly over the phone.

Location and the decoration and bedding and towels good quality.
The fridge and freezer was a bit on the small side.

Firstly it’s a lovely house, very clean and spacious. If you drive it’s an ideal location as not far to drive to pen y fan or the four waterfalls walk ect! Angela from the very beginning was so helpful & closer to the arrival date sent LOADS of information on things to do nearby, places to eat & drink and attractions local, she even checked in during the stay to check if everything was going well. Welsh cakes and milk left on your arrival which was a lovely touch and very welcoming, would definitely stay again!
Couldn’t fault much but if I could fault anything (being fussy) it would be the toilet & shower being downstairs!

Feel like home
Bathroom is on downstairs so it’s bit awkward in night time if you want to use

Lovely decor. Perfect location for us for what we needed it for, lovely stay. Highly recommend and would most certainly stay again if we ever go back to the area.

Angela could not have been more helpful. The house was lovely and upon arrival we were treated to some delicious welsh cakes and an incredibly informative folder with ideas for things to do in the area. This actually became our holiday bible. The pergola is lit with hundreds of fairy lights which provide a delightful backdrop for your evening drinks. Angela has thought of everything and everything you could need is provided. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Lovely cottage, plenty of space, nicely furnished with quirky touches. Comfortable couches, large TV.
Beds comfortable. Perhaps some more storage for clothes would be good. We were only there 3 nights, so not a big problem for us.
Nice to have outdoor space. We sat out on both levels whilst there.
Situation is convenient for access to roads to the Beacons, and other areas. Lots of lovely places to see, as shown in the cottage handbook.
Some areas of kitchen not cleaned to the standard in the guide book.
Only 3 teaspoons in drawer, which was ok as only 2 of us, but it's a 6 bed accommodation so could be a problem for others.
I didn't like the steep approach to the property, obviously not something the owners can sort! Not easy when there was almost always a car parked at the top of the hill, and on one occasion an irate male driver wanting to come down the hill as I reached the top, with at least one other car behind me, and rather than move back slightly to allow us through he seemed to want me to somehow move out of the way!

The tasteful decor and quirky touches
There was nothing I didn't like

The location was ideal for the trips we were doing which were only 15 min drive to the pen y fan peak and waterfall trails.
The host was very welcoming and the look of the house was very unique giving a feeling of living in a cottage.
The outdoor setting was very nice ideal for barbecues.
Not much except that the fridge could have been larger for a larger group of guests

Really nicely furnished property, very cosy yet modern.
Beautiful outdoor terrace which gets the sun in the evening, perfect for drinks and a BBQ.
Excellent location for exploring the Brecon Beacons.
Nice friendly and helpful hosts.
The fridge is a bit small for the size of property

It was so cosy and homely yet still unique and modern. Lots of spacious areas to sit down and enjoy the time there.
Nothing! To be picky - my boyfriend couldn’t fit in the bath .. but then again he’s 6’9 and doesn’t fit in many!
