We were looking for a place halfway between Middleberry and Rutland to see old haunts of my sons. We had a marvelous time in lances house. It was well appointed well stocked and just gorgeous actually comfortable too. we played horseshoes and walked back to the creek and generally enjoyed the lawn and flowers.

Lovely, comfortable, great way to visit with extended family. We would stay there again!
We all loved how walkable Brandon is.

This was a wonderful property and the house included everything we needed. It was absolutely gorgeous and extremely well equipped. The kitchen is huge, which my wife loved, and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The whole house was very clean too. We enjoyed the ability to walk to the many shops and restaurants that were only minutes away and even saw the parade in the town square out front. We had an excellent stay at No. 28 Park St.

This is the second time that we rented this property for a family gathering, and it won't be the last. There are plenty of places that have a great kitchen, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. And this place certainly checks all of those boxes. But there are other details that separate this place from the pack. In real estate, it's location, location, location. 28 Park St is literally the center of one of the quaintest villages in all of Vermont. Step off the front porch and you're right in a village green with a gazebo, art galleries, restaurants, grocery store, historic homes, rivers and waterfalls. Not walking distance; literally right outside your door. Walk to the back of your yard and there's the stream. And on site, gather around the fire pit, or in the spacious living room or play horseshoes or shuffleboard or pool or darts. Dine around a table large enough to accommodate your entire group. There's something for everyone. You can spend a week here without ever getting in a car and have the time of your life. And if you do get in your car, gorgeous lakes and rivers and mountains and hikes are minutes away. I can't think of a more perfect place to gather as a family, and we'll do it here again and again and again.....

I stay here each year when I visit my son at Middlebury. I have written longer reviews previously but wanted to make sure that everyone reading knows how great this house is! A+ for cleanliness, location, amenities and host is always available if needed (but we have never needed him because everything is always perfect)!

We first found this wonderful property and Owner when looking for a place to stay for a state golf championship that was being held nearby. We have come back for three years straight for tournaments as this impressive house and surroundings create a magical environment and a great way to enjoy once another's company in beautiful surroundings and a bit of luxury. The tournament cycle is over so the group is busy looking to create new reasons to come back next year! Thank you to Lance for sharing this special home with us!

One of my grandsons (age 10) summed up 28 Park: “This is paradise!” Everything you need is here. A short walk in a very pleasant town to restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, art galleries, etc. The property was clean, comfortable, well appointed and spacious.
Lance was the best. He was communicative, kind, and accommodating. We loved our stay.

Check in and communications with Lance were quick and easy. Beautiful home and grounds…wish we could have stayed and enjoyed the house more! Stayed with my family of five and another couple to attend a wedding at the Lilac Inn. Very comfortable and lots to do at the house. We enjoyed the shuffleboard, pool table, and darts. Wished we had time for horseshoes and hanging out in the yard and sunroom. Overall, a nicely appointed house and great stay. Thanks, Lance!

Wow! What a beautiful home. This property is spacious, newly renovated, clean, and perfectly located right downtown within walking distance to shops, coffee, restaurants, pharmacy and grocery store. You really can't for a better location. I look forward to staying here again!

We were 10 for our daughter's graduation. This was the perfect house for a family reunion. Huge, with plenty of separate rooms for quiet time. Kitchen was the great and everything was provided. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. While we didn't Brandon (except Cafe Provencal which I would highly recommend), it seems like a cute town. About 20 minutes to Middlebury. Would certainly stay here again!

We are so glad that we found Lance's house for our weekend snowboarding trip in Killington. Lance is super attentive and friendly, the house is new, spacious, and extremely clean and comfy.
All the beds, pillows, and linens are very comfortable, bathrooms are clean, the dining table is huge, the kitchen is beautiful and amazing with all the new and premium appliances, it has everything we need plus lots of coffee! Two fireplaces and easy thermo control in the house kept us warm and cozy, plus the pool table, shuffleboard, the list goes on.
We love the place, but what we love the most is the host, Lance, he was kind, patience and understanding. He made our stay at his beautiful house fun and welcomed. From booking, check-in, during our stay to check-out, he was there to assist and to make sure we have a great time.
Thank you Lance, both you and your house are amazing!

My family of 7 were lucky to stay in Lance's beautiful home. We were in town for a graduation and found the short commute to Midd a breeze. With two lovely fireplaces, an amazing (coffee-stocked) kitchen and dining room, shuffleboard, billiards (and much more), we had a warm and cozy place to be together on a very chilly weekend (-25°). There was room for all of us to laugh in one room and space to spread out for smaller quiet moments, too. We loved every moment. Lance was an excellent host, from the beginning of planning out this trip to the very end, checking to be sure we found everything we needed. This was our best VRBO experience ever! Thank you so very much.

My family and I stayed here for a weekend wedding at the Lilac Inn about 4 houses down the street. The house is amazing, spacious, clean, comfortable and fun. The location is great with bars, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy all with in a short walking distance. After the wedding the wedding party came over for a late night snack and some laughs while enjoying the many fun amenities 28 Park has to offer. Billiards, darts, shuffle board, fireplaces and plenty of comfy places to sit and chat. We found ourselves mostly gathered around the huge kitchen island enjoying conversation. Trying to find an excuse already to come back and stay here again.

The only "complaint" I would have is that the street lights give off so much light that they illuminate one of the bedrooms as well. In a perfect world, I'd have darkening shades for that bedroom. Truly, that's it. The house is lovely.

We love this house!! This is the 2nd year in a row that we booked this property for a beautiful Fall weekend. The location is superb and a VERY close walk to the town of Brandon. The house is super clean and comfortable and has been completely renovated. Highly recommend staying if you come to Vermont!!

Absolutely stunning. Stayed here for a wedding at the Lilac Inn. Perfect location within walking distance to the inn. The house was exactly as described and still smelled brand new. Very clean and had everything you'd ever need for your stay. The games were the highlight of the trip for our husbands who LOVED the shuffle board. Lance was a great host!

Lance is an excellent host. His property is just as described. We had a wonderful experience.

This is the 2nd but not last time a group of friends gathered in this amazing home . The restoration of this home and grounds creates a sense of historic wonder that is married with modern day amenities. The location within walking distance to everything in town is another perk that comes with the whole rental package.

Wonderful Middlebury Graduation Location
This beautiful property exceeded expectations! Everything appears to be brand new.

Just perfect
This property is beautiful. It’s an old stately home, having all the charm and elegance from history but exquisitely updated with all top notch modern appliances and finishes. It’s right near the center of town and we could walk to everything. Loved meeting neighbor artist Warren Kimble and dining at Cafe Provence. Lance has left no stone unturned. It was the perfect spot to create family memories and celebrate our son’s college graduation. We enjoyed listening to tunes from Alexa while shooting pool, playing darts and shuffleboard. Even the 80 something grandparents got involved. Thanks to Lance for helping us to have the weekend we will never forget.

Even better than expected!
We have a lovely stay at this house in Brandon. The house was spotless and we especially loved the fireplaces, pool table/darts, and comfy sitting areas. The kitchen was incredibly well supplied with high quality pots, pans, tools and cooking utensils and we were able to make some great meals for our group. There's restaurants and a coffeeshop right down the street so the location is perfect. Also very close to backcountry skiing areas in Brandon Gap.

Everything you could want and more
We came for our daughter’s graduation and our family all loved every aspect of the house. It was big and beautiful. We played billiards and darts and cooked fabulous meals in the amazing chef’s kitchen. Lance was extremely accommodating and very available. We hope to come back soon.

Weekend snowboarding trip to Killington for the kids.
While the kids were snowboarding at Killington, the parents chilled out at 28Park. The house was beautiful! Our family would definitely return again, hopefully not at -16 degrees though! 😁

Fabulous 10/10!
The house and location exceeded my expectations! First off, there is nothing the owners did not think about when getting the house ready for us. There is every amenity imaginable. Beautiful kitchen, immaculate bathrooms, great entertainment rooms and very clean. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, local shops too! I already booked it again for next year! Thank you!!

Brandon Bliss!
My partner and I needed a place for six adult members of our family to stay (as well as us), while visiting our property in the area. No. 28 Park exceeded our expectations. This beautifully renovated historic building, on the most prominent street in Brandon, is located a few doors down from all the downtown amenities. No. 28 Park is spacious, provided more than enough space for the eight of us to enjoy time together or apart.
Lance was communicative, available, and helpful from the time we reserved No. 28 Park and throughout our visit.
I highly recommend No. 28 Park! Well done, Lance!

A perfect location for a low-key family reunion
this spacious property provided more than enough room for our group of 6 ( 2 grandparents, 3 adults, and 1 teenager). the kitchen was well equipped making preparing meals easy. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and provided sufficient space for 8 adults. The game room with dart board and a pool table provided for some fun competition. The room is a bit narrow for the pool table. And the sitting room was great for work that needed to be done even though on holiday. Outdoor areas are still undergoing design and construction, we would have welcomed outdoor seating given the weather, but that was a nice to have for us. Brandon is a lovely little town and being in walking distance of everything you need for a long weekend away was very nice.
