The cottage and the gardens around it were stunning. We absolutely loved our stay here. It is situated near enough to drive to many spots of interest and we were spoilt with a lovely breakfast. The facilities were top notch and beds were comfy. It was like a home away from home. Hosts were lovely too.
Everything was amazing.

Very friendly host who gave clear instructions as to where to park and find the cottage/keys. I was a bit late arriving so didn't see the host but spoke to them on the phone, and they are very nice people! Thankyou for the comfortable stay at short notice.

Good selection of cerials, tea and coffee, would have liked butter and some bread.
A lovely little villa but heating needed improving. We struck some cold weather and heating insufficient to deal with cold conditions.

Great little quiet character cottage. Roomy with comfortable beds and lots of nice touches. Lovely breakfast.
A little cold at first, but ok once heated. Needed a few more glasses.

Ben & Krissie are wonderful hosts who went out of their way to accommodate. there was no power due to the cyclone, but this had zero impact on the accommodation and there hospitality. beautiful cottage, comfortable and homely. Norm the dog is an added bonus. thank you for the perfect stay under the stress you’re under.

The food and drinks left under the heading of breakfast exceeded all expectations. Outstanding care is taken to ensure we had all we needed.

Air Con for the warm nights. Maybe softer pillows.

Lovely cottage. Plenty of space. Very well presented. Clean. Easy access to Havelock North Napier etc. Within easy cycling distance for the different wineries.
Would have liked to have better facilities to cook a meal. Not a lot of power points

Everything about staying in this delightful apartment was easy and refreshing. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back again at the drop of a hat. Every aspect of our visit was a joy and the decor was tailored with taste and was in keeping with the warmth of the cosiest and most inviting of traditional villas.

Lovely cottage. great facilities and hosts very welcoming.

A charming Cottage with all the facilities one would expect plus lots of little extras. Wine and chocolates on arrival. The breakfast provisions were great and both plunger coffee and pods a bonus.
Inability to open the bedroom windows; they have been painted shut. This meant we couldn't fully air the bedroom during the day.

Krissie and Ben have worked hard to present this cottage at its best. We especially valued that it had a dishwasher! The decor is soothing and restful. All the amenities are in great condition and thoughtfully provided. Only aspect I struggled with were the bed pillows- pretty firm and I like soft ones. Maybe have one of each type to cater for all tastes? There is oodles of easy parking outside the door. There is a washing machine, but no dryer. Most of the windows open- double hung sash which are not easy to maintain. Gorgeous old walnut tree offering shade in the private back yard. Delicious sour dough bread and spreads provided, along with a range of cereals and yoghurt. Kind small touches such as fudge and toffees also offered. The owners live on site and are very quick to respond to any queries. The kitchen is not a full one- a microwave, a small portable hob and a small oven were there but not a standard size hob and oven to work with, if that is what you need.
Just across the road is the well-regarded St Georges restaurant. It was lovely to be able to walk for our evening meal.
There is nothing that Krissie and Ben can do about the traffic noise. While the cottage is handily placed to Havelock North- a short 5 minute drive away- St George's Road is very busy from early in the morning to mid evening with trucks, motorbikes and cars. Despite being rural, the noise levels are urban. Relative to other accommodation and amenities, the price of the cottage is possibly a bit high.

Great location. Lovely to have a private garden and deck.
Wi if was a bit unreliable and slow.
