Great location. They really put the 'mini' in minimal. Room was smaller than expected and leaves a bit to be desired. Nice overall but do not expect much in terms of size or features. Good value but again, small and minimal features.

A great place to stay when on a limited budget.

Excellent location in downtown Charlottetown. Appreciated as I ended up staying for an extra week that they placed me in the last room at the rear of the hotel so as I was not impacted by any noise from the bar. Also valuable is the on-site laundry.

I realise the hotel is minimalist but may be the hotel could offer in-room mini fridge on request for those staying longer term. The shared communal fridge on Level 2, is too small for more than only a few people.

Loved the minimal-ness

I gave a great review because I appreciate the minimal-ness. The beds and showers are great, what more do you need? I don't need a TV because I don't mind using my phone for my media consumption. There's lots of great breakfast places around so I don't need continental breakfast. The location is fantastic in the middle of Charlottetown and the staff are very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there.

the reception is very nice and our room is very nice.

the hotel is close to everything in downtown

shared fridge is not good, we lost our ice pack in the freezer. but it's not the hotel's fault. We dont know who steal our ice pack in the freezer. next time we will not put anything in the fridge or freezer.

Great but somewhat noisy location at a decent price

The location is great. It’s walking distance to many great restaurants, patios and the waterfront.

It can be quite noisy, which can somewhat be expected in a downtown location; however, loud beeping noises we hear almost every morning between 6-7am by what we assume were delivery trucks backing up into a nearby alley. The theatre that is located in the hotel also plays music quite loudly until about midnight some days. All in all, it lead us to not having quality sleep each night of our stay.

Good

We had a good stay here, it was very basic but just what we needed. Great location right downtown, we were able to find parking either right out front or just down the street. Lots of restaurants, bars shops really close, everything is walkable. The restaurant/bar at the hotel was fun, didn't eat there in the end, just had drinks but the menu looked great. Loved that this hotel had laundry facilities.

Facilities were very basic but I was aware of that when booking. Room was very small, bathroom was tiny and just had frosted glass walls which was a little weird but we made it work! Fridge in common kitchen was tiny, luckily there was room for our stuff, nothing in the kitchen though in terms of plates/cutlery etc.

Basically a concrete cube with a bed and a bathroom not suitable for a relaxing stay.

Location

Everything else. No place to sit in room, no television in room no complimentary coffee or tea. 8 dollars plus tax for 2 small coffee. No view window looked into an alley with buildings beside. No parking and no arrangements made with parkade next door to give guests a parking pass. Vending machine was out of order for drinks. Left the second evening even after paying for the room.

The location was great for visiting attractions in the area.

The room was small. I had to walk along the register to get into the far side of the bed. When travelling we didn’t feel like going to a common room just to watch TV. Hardly room for 2suitcases. One had to sit on the floor. The bathroom smelled musty. We found it weird and poor service that just because we were staying 2 nights that the bed isn’t made daily…and you shouldn’t have to request that & had to request to have clean towels for the second day. These were reasons we also decided not to eat there. Also no parking…disappointing.

Great for one or two nights.

Big comfy bed. Everything new and fresh. Great location. Reasonable price. Free weekend parking.

Needed at least one comfy chair. Needed more surfaces/hooks for arranging belongings.

The room was basic but comfy and clean. Really liked the shower and the fact it had black out blinds.

Clean but not inexpensive

It was very clean and close to the places we wanted to go to

It was designed to be a low rent option and so it doesn't have tvs or room phones, but it wasn't cheaper than another hotel in the area that had tvs pool and breakfast. We stayed at the Arts hotel because it was cleaner and had better reviews. But it was not inexpensive. And the room could use a second chair

Room temperature was set to 24C when we arrived in March. Would have been more comfortable to have two chairs rather than just one.
