About this cabin rental
You have a lot of choices in deciding where to spend your Georgia mountain vacation, but if you want breathtaking views, the ultimate in relaxation and comfort, peace and quiet, and proximity to all the activities you love, look no further than Aska Easy Day. Set high on a hillside overlooking Lake Blue Ridge with panoramic long-range mountain vistas for a backdrop, this magnificent cabin is perfectly situated for vacation fun with family and friends. It's just two miles to the Aska Adventure Area, with its hiking and horseback riding trails, boating, kayaking, tubing, and fishing, and the shopping, bars and restaurants of downtown Blue Ridge are six miles away. And golfers, you're in for a special treat! As a guest of Aska Easy Day, you'll have access to the top-rated Old Toccoa Farm golf course (at Member Guest Rates). Spend the day golfing just 12 miles away and then retreat back to Aska Easy Day to wind down for the evening.
Beautifully constructed from local materials in modern mountain design and furnished to define the airy open spaces, the cabin features Brazilian hardwood floors, crown moldings, stained pine that adds depth and texture to the walls and ceilings. Two stacked stone gas fireplaces, soaring vaulted ceilings, and walls of enormous windows bring the drama and showcase the magnificent picture-postcard view from sunrise to sunset. There's plenty of space to relax and unwind in: both of the two main living areas feature sumptuous leather couches and 50” smart TVs with Roku and Hulu. Downstairs, you'll find a poker table, puzzles, games, cards, a wet bar made from two Jack Daniel's barrels, and access to the lower deck.
But why stay inside when there's so much to do outdoors? You can fire up the grill for a barbecue feast, test your skill at cornhole, soak in the hot tub, make s'mores at the fire pit, or soak in the Jacuzzi as you take in the lake and mountain view--and warm up afterward by the wood-burning fireplace. There's plenty of seating on the decks and a play area for kids and canines—you can bring up to two well-behaved dogs with you.
The cabin's spacious kitchen is state of the art, with custom cabinetry and tile, granite countertops, new stainless-steel appliances, a five-burner gas stove/oven, a farm sink, icemaker, crockpot, and drip coffeemaker. The dining table seats eight, plus two at the breakfast bar.
Each of the four bedrooms is a cozy oasis, a combination of rich woods and soothing neutrals that allows you rest and wake refreshed. The main level master bedroom has a king bed and private bath with a copper soaking tub, double vanity and walk-in shower. Upstairs, one bedroom has a queen bed and a great view of the lake, and the other has a pair of twin beds, perfect for kids. Both rooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The downstairs bedroom has a king bed and private bath with walk-in shower. There's a half bath and washer/dryer on the main floor.
Playing on the Navy SEALS motto, “The only easy day was yesterday,” the cabin's ex-SEAL owner named it Aska Easy Day because 'being there is an easy day every day.” If you spend time there, you'll find out how true that is.

Fantastic Property and all was in great order !! Our first night arriving was very cold and there was ice on the deck from the hot tub (we assumed from cleaning and preparing for our visit). We enjoyed the outdoor deck and fireplace. The home inside was gorgeous and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. The finishings of the home were very nice and extremely “warm”. We also loved all the labeling on the switches for lights etc. very helpful. We will be back !!

I advise if you're staying at the beautiful cabin to make sure you're in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The mountain is steep, but driving up the drive way was extremely steep and scary. We didn't know if we would make it.
The cabin itself is beautiful and spacious. The beds are super comfy. We did notice pee stains on the bedding under the sheets.
I would recommend the cabin

Everything about this mountain cabin is as depicted and described. The home is spacious, has lots of different living spaces to enjoy. There is a game table downstairs and kitchen where you can enjoy game night. The fire pit was excellent for S’mores and the porch fireplace and seating area was awesome. The kitchen contained all essential cookware and utensils. Would highly recommend this property.

We have rented a lot of cabins in Blue Ridge over the years and this was in our top 3. You can tell that the owners put a lot of time and effort into a well-built cabin. It didn't feel drafty and cold even though it snowed while we were up there. It was a warm and comfortable spot for a much needed get-away. Here are the reasons we liked it more than others:
1. The views are great - the cabin is located at the top of the mountain, so the views of Lake Blue Ridge and the surrounding mountains are outstanding.
2. The house is plenty big enough for a group. We were only 4 adults, so we had plenty of room. There are 2 bedrooms on the top floor, master on the main and then another King bedroom on the terrace level with a hangout space that includes a large tv, bar and poker table. We appreciated the ample seating - couch, loveseat and recliner in the living room. 8 person dining table and 4 bar stools in the kitchen.
3. The kitchen had nice pots and pans - typically, rental cabins have been used and abused when it comes to the kitchen. This one had nice cookware, plates, utensils. It was appreciated.
4. They allow pets - Our yellow lab was so happy she was able to come with us. She loves hiking the mountains more than anything and we hate to leave her behind because there are so few cabins that allow pets.
5. The location is fairly convenient - One thing to know about Blue Ridge; distance on the map is WAY different than when you actually drive it. So often, it looks like you are really close to town, but you are 30+ minutes away by the time you drive down the mountain. While this cabin is at the top of a mountain, and the roads are very steep in some places, it is completely paved and only about 15-20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge.
What to note:
1. The Driveway - it was tight. Tough to turn into, tough to turn your vehicle around in and might be really difficult with more than 3 cars.
2. Bring your own stuff - As with any VRBO, be sure to bring your own paper towels, cleaning spray, tin foil, tupperware, extra firewood for the outside firepit and fireplace (the indoor fireplaces are gas logs).
3. There is no fenced area - but we are used to leash walking our dog anyway, so it wasn't that big of an issue for us. There is a leash law in Blue Ridge, as well as bears, so be careful letting our pets run around outside, especially at night!
Aska Easy Day was a great spot - thank you!

Our family loved our beautiful cabin and our weekend in Blue Ridge. We did the Santa train and drove to town for dining. My only negative would be the drive to get to the cabin. It was literally up the side of a mountain on a one lane road with many switchbacks. Once you got there the view was breathtaking. Love Blue Ridge and all that it offers.

Perfect place for spring break!
My husband and I, our two sons, my daughter and her friend drove up for spring break. The cabin was perfect: cozy, spacious, clean, and loaded with the necessities. We were very happy with the view and the amenities: hot tub, fire place, fire pit, porch sitting, laundry, large kitchen and pantry. I only wish the tubing would’ve been open but considering it snowed the morning we arrived the weather wasn’t ideal for that. We enjoyed zip lining, several meals downtown, and playing in the river. Perfect place to unplug and relax!

Beautiful Cabin
This cabin was gorgeous. The view on the porch of the lake was spectacular. All the rooms were super cozy and clean. Enough space for a group of 10. The downstairs master bedroom was wonderful for privacy and this cabin is great for relaxing and spending time with friends and family

A perfect view
I loved this cabin and the view was spectacular. We will definitely be coming back. My only regret is not getting the chance to soak in the massive tub in the master bathroom! We had to work from the cabin and the internet speed was terrific. So peaceful
