We had the best time meeting up with friends for a few nights at this beautiful home. St Elmo is a great location and this home had it all! We will stay again! Best added touch was the espresso machine!

This house is so beautiful. The owners have updated it yet kept the historical character. We met friends there for a few days in Chattanooga. We are from Indy and our friends from Atlanta. The house is so convenient located near Incline Railway, Rock City and Ruby Falls. St Elmo is a great location to stay. Not far at all from downtown. Great host who communicated throughout check in. Also met the cleaners who were so nicw

We absolutely LOVED this place. The house, the location, EVERYTHING. We spent our mornings in the kitchen nook chatting and sipping coffee. Our late afternoon gathering spot was outside by the fire. Late night chats were had in the parlor. We called for a ride into town and walked and ate until we could stand no more. We also enjoyed the short walk into town for a cup of coffee and a stretch of the legs. A definite re-do for us will be in the books.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bunk room and all the outside activities were so fun for our 4 granddaughters! Such a cute little slice of history. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful 5 day getaway in Chattanooga with our three children, staying at the St. Elmo farmhouse. The property exceeded expectations--it matches the pictures and was comfortable and more convenient than we imagined for our planned adventures. We ate s'mores around the fire in the firepit and hiked Lookout Mountain to Ruby Falls.

The home is just as described in the listing. It was immaculate and SO much care and thought and love has been poured into every detail, from the furniture to the toiletries and everything in between.
It’s an excellent location near everything you could possibly want to do in the city but with surroundings that make you feel like you’re in a retreat.
The property is BEAUTIFUL! You are close to a fairly busy street but the front yard is so spacious that you aren’t bothered by it at all.
The historic house itself is absolutely perfect. Everything makes sense - the layout, the decor, etc.
Plan to take a ton of photos; I captured so many memories on my phone of my toddler running barefoot around the property, gleefully sorting through the thoughtful toy chest they provide in the bunk bed room, and cozying up in their very comfortable beds.
The only problem is that you may not want to leave the comfort and beauty of this home to actually do any activities in the city!
My family has some special needs and the owner was very attentive and accommodating.
We are already trying to decide on fall/winter dates for our return. This will be the only place we ever stay in Chattanooga, without a doubt.
We truly can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay at St. Elmo farmhouse! House was well stocked with everything you would need to have a wonderful relaxed vacation. In a great location so close to all that Chattanooga has to offer. Will definitely stay again when we venture back to Chattanooga.

If you're visiting Chattanooga- this is the place to stay. Everything was wonderful about the property and location.
Upon walking in we were amazed at how the home is both historical and updated in all the right ways. The home is well stocked and very welcoming. My daughter was so excited to have a lush room with a private bath and chandler over the bed. Speaking of beds..... they are so comfortable. It gets chilly in the house (the a/c is very powerful which is essential for southern summers), but there are so many cozy blankets to cuddle up with- a very nice touch. The outside seating is inviting and a great place to watch the chipmunks, squirrels and birds in the morning and lightning bugs at night. Very easy to get to/from the interstate and downtown (with many great restaurants and things to do- we loved the Ghost Tour and Coker museum) The Lookout Mountain attractions are so close (you can walk to the Incline Railway; Ruby Falls and Rock City are a short 5-10 minute drive). There are a number of restaurants, a lovely wine store, drug store and grocery store within walking distance. I cannot think of a thing that I would change about the property- it is perfect. We were sad to leave and will certainly plan to come back.

We loved the St. Elmo Farmhouse! The kids loved the outside areas and the triple bunks, the adults appreciated the history and the care and detail of restoring the home to its current state. Host was so generous and house was well stocked and so comfortable. Location was great for trail running and great eating. Highly recommend!

This was such a well done home and property. The owners obviously care a great deal about the wellbeing of this home. It is well maintained, comfortable, and very inviting. The use of the house was simple, no special rules for appliances etc. Because we had such a comfortable place to rest and relax, we were able to spend quality time as a family. This home is right in the heart of everything, I don't think we had to drive more than 15-20 min to get to anything on our to do list. If we ever plan to travel to Chattanooga again, this will be where we stay! Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Great house for two families
We stayed here for Spring Break - four adults and four children under the age of 6. It is a great house for families. Bedrooms with king beds have their own bathrooms and the kids enjoyed the bunk room with the toy chest. We also enjoyed the large yard, firepit, and grill. Highly recommend in the Chattanooga area!

Awesome home, loved the kitchen, the swing in the back, the yard where we could toss the football, and the games they left for us to play outdoors.
Convenient location! Loved our time here.

I was initially concerned about renting an older home, but upon arrival was so happy we chose St Elmo! The house is so cozy and is well-decorated. I have a lot of difficulty picking my favorite part of this property. The owners have thought of everything! Plenty of towels for everyone, soaps and shampoos in both bathrooms, laundry supplies, and plenty of kitchen extras. The kids (they’re teens) loved the zip line & cornhole game! We will definitely be back if staying in Chattanooga again!
