Cozy, comfortable clean great staff , but the bathroom was too small overall it was great

not much parking space, the sink drain wasn’t cleaned out- had hair stuck on it so water wasn’t draining properly

We would definitely stay here again and we’d recommend a stay here to friends and family.

We loved the friendly colorful beach themed decor. Everything was clean and comfy. Loved the upstairs room in the main house. We opened the windows and slept without the AC. Clint was very welcoming. He gave us great suggestions on things to do and places to dine. Very accommodating. This was a great location central to all the fun things to do. Our only suggestion would be to throw softener sheets in the dryer for the towels.

Towels could use a softener. Scratchy.

Very pleasant, well run business that I’d be happy to book with again

Great location, staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable stay, would certainly go back.

Super nit-picky, but water temperature in the shower was a bit touchy (a little too hot and outright cold seemed only a millimeter apart) and the AC unit to had to run for a bit longer than we had hoped to cool the room near where we had it set. No signal on the tv either, but we didn’t need it anyway and didn’t really try too hard to get it working, so hardly a complaint. None of these are things that would prevent me from booking here again.

Very, very nice!

VERY clean and comfortable. Excellent staff and they went out of their way to make sure everything was the best it could be!

Parking was a little tight for a 21ft vehicle but they did their absolute best to make sure it was comfortable for all their guests

The rooms were amazing, staff made sure you felt right at home. The tiki bar and coffee bar was a nice touch!

I loved the sea glass parking area, the fire pit was a very nice touch & the staff were very welcoming & seemed eager to help in any way. I loved the coziness of the inn & the color scheme

the rooms inside were a bit sterile & unwelcoming , some curtains would be great. they add warmth while also adding some privacy. updated wall decor would be a plus as well,

We stayed in the upstairs rooms of the main building. The rooms were nice, but I didn't like that we couldn't control the temperature in our room, at times it got really hot.

First time in the area!

It was very clean and comfortable. It looked to be well maintained with new/like new fixtures. The tropical theme in the decor is fun. It is in a good location for area activities.

Nothing the motel has any control over, but the only thing we didn't like was that everything closed so early. Everything was closed by 9pm and many places by 8pm.

One bed was too hard the other too soft, kept looking for the third bear....and Goldilocks.

Beautifully restored facility.

Parking very tight as hotel filled up. Some confusion on size of room vs our party’s size. Paid for extra room at discount price. Thank you Tom.

What a gem. We found our get away spot. Great small yet extremely comfortable inn in manteo N.C. staff was amazing from check in to check. Met one of the owners kristi and had a great little chat. Awesome people she is. My wife and I will be back again soon and will be staying here from now on. Thanks to all at Island Motel.

A very good three days in a homey atmosphere!

No breakfast but I didn't expect breakfast. Location was good. I lived on the Outer Banks so I knew my way around. Staff was super friendly, room nicely appointed, and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

Adorable and a good bargain, would stay again.

Absolutely charming. Everything was clean and felt comfortable. Loved the gardening outside and they even have a fire pit in the evenings. The fridge inside the room was super useful. Would stay again

A full length mirror in the room would’ve been helpful. There’s it’s only one in the bathroom and you can just see your head because of its placement. The top cover on the bed was a bit itchy, sheets were great and the rest of the bed was comfy. It just wasn’t comfortable to sit or relax on unless you pulled down the covers.
